I've seen this as well, but also towards those who people think don't 'deserve' places at the top ie linong, yanlei, jeffrey etc Which is a ridiculous notion considering they all have different specialties that they're extremely good at and are attracting votes through. I'm surprised any of this is even going on considering how pleasant the editing has been

Omg my baby i personally don't agree with the votes distribution, but thats just me. Always in these cases, charisma and good looks win. Its not a judgement of personal ability or potential, these votes demonstrate that to some degree. I just wanna tell him he's doing fabulously for such a short period of training. I get where you're coming from, esp when we have a Yanlei in the programme with 10days(?) training. But there must be more to it than we know; maybe his training for 2yrs was for singing (it's clearly his strong suit), and not dance etc. Iqiyi said they'd had a thorough look into the history of these trainees to prevent future controversies, so I don't think nongnong's company would just out with 2months if there weren't conditions to make the claim valid. I agree with you though, it would be more commendable if he admits 2yrs professional training (in some areas). I'm glad it may be a biproduct of his accomplishments but his image is soo fluffy it just makes me worry for him lol. Poor daniel tbh, its worked out for him now but I remember his scandal distinctly because of how hyperbolized it was and how horribly he was shit on as a result. Hopefully nongnong won't experience anything as severe with his growing popularity.

There's actually a few rumours going around for this baby. Something about vote manipulation too? I don't think it's that extreme tbh, but going back to dance more than 2months training might make sense considering he looks really good dancing (once he gets the choreo down lol). Like the user above says, maybe he recieved dance training before but not as a trainee under a company? I'm unsure, but hopefully these rumours won't affect him. I can tell already there are some people really unhappy about his success.

I definitely agree with this! 2months as a trainee, and his self-cam for his song was pretty good actually. He may be slower than most in terms of grasping choreo, or perfecting his singing but its undeniable he has serious potential if these are improved. I can't wait to see his progress tbh, he's got more going for him than just being a total cutie

I agree with this soo much, you've put it down better than I ever could! I love them all in a motherly way right now with all this behind the scenes hard work and camaraderie we're exposed. Bu Fan is on the top of my list though hehe. Ik I'll be a total mess regardless of whatever top 9 make it since every single trainee has show the effort to deserve a place there ._.

Ahh Bu Fan is seriously soo attractive. I hadn't expected him to be the hardworker he's shown everyone to be,I don't get how he can be so serious and so goofy, his duality is just +he's hot af Same here! I dislike watching survival shows actually, Monsta x's was my last which was well over 2/3 yrs ago. Its just too brutal, and in the hopes of making some money, these trainees are ripped mentally & physically apart. I don't get that vibe from this show. Even their dorms are lovely, with actual beds. It's a small thing, but all the sweet interactions & niceties add up

Hey guys, I'm new here. I've been hopelessly dragged into these longs ass episodes after watching Bu Fan's silly individual teaser thingie. I kinda hate him for it tbh, I'm just too addicted to this now Also 3.5hrs is hella long, but I love the hardwork the production crew and PD are putting behind this in order to give everyone some fair screen time. Its long for us to watch, but think about long damn long it must be to sift through and edit these scenes. If we think about it from the trainees point of view, all their hardwork, and their personal stories aren't being edited out for convenience. The reality is, it would be so easy to discard the footage, but I few like the idol producer crew are so sincere in giving everyone a fair shot. Its new for me considering I rarely escape into chinese tv/variety, and often times in Korean shows you experience 10hr shoots, with only 1hr being used after. I feel like this isn't just a 'show' for money making purposes (though essentially that is what it is). The PD seems to care on a more personable level that these trainees aren't edited out, and tbh I'll take that even if it means a 3,5hr episode lol Okay sorry for the essay, just wanted to pass on my thought hihih. Also hang in there sub team, you're doing a terrific job

Also I feel you with bts, I don't stan them but the hate they and armys receive is beyond unnecessary. Thank you for sharing, we really appreciate it! You're sooo lucky to have been there (I presume these are yours?). How was you're experience with them? I've heard a lot about Monsta x's concert perfs and how awesome they make them. It'd be lovely to know from a person with other group performances in perspective though.

Thats such a shame to hear actually. They've been too active for my liking, especially with their recent concert tour. I just wish they could get a week off. They must be exhausted! Ill hope being away from the cameras will help like you said.
