Bufan crying was so heart breaking. He even said he blames himself for not working hard enough. No my child, that wasn't the case. We have ruibin and xingjie who're also amazingly hard workers but didn't get in. Most of the criticisms on this guy fueled down to his looks and that really upset me seeing him on stage blaming himself.

I don't get the hype for yanjun other than for his visuals. Maybe that's just me though. I would have loved to have seen Ruibin and zj especially get that position. ZJ deserves more than #9

These nicknames are so hilarious because they sound more like character descriptions of each trainee and I love it x) Here's some for our Slum Boys; BC221 Bu Fan : Fanzi (What BC221call him), Husky (because he reminds fans of and has memes compared to huskies), FanFan (his real name is Bu FanFan, and fans find FanFan rlly cute/adorable, so they prefer calling him Fanx2. Wow so many damn 'fan's,_,) YueYue : Joey Yue (his English name is JOEY LOL), Uncle Yue (what Lingchao calls him; they have almost a decade apart in age), Old Yue (What everyone calls him), 'My YueYue' (What only shameless BuFan calls him) Lingchao : Didi (his stage name, but also means younger bro in Chinese; BC221 refer to him almost exclusively as this), Little Prince / Fairy Prince (pretty obvs this one), My Child (What all BC221 mothers call this smol qtpie, me included,_,) Mu Ziyang : YangYang (it's a cute rendition of his name, most c-fans call him this?), Liyang (his real name is Li ZhenYang, so fans call him liyang because it's easy), Muzi (What ifans call him, it's cute and simple), A WHOLE snack (What I call him ;) )

I agree in the short-term it is smart strategics but better for something like finals or where some YH boy's rankings are precarious. Its been totally wasted in this live-vote though and has also tarnished YH boy's reps as well. With this context in mind, it was a pretty stupid move;-; I also agree it's impossible to not be biased, but biased behavior will always garner backlash in response. The two go hand in hand, so I'm not surprised and can understand the uproar in IP fandoms rn. Hopefully the attack on the boys die down, esp poor FCC baby,_,

I can't agree with this at all. I support the idea that YH boys shouldn't be attacked for their rankings; they didn't force or coerce anyone into voting for them & it's not their fault what their fandom does. However to say that the fandom practiced fair behavior and are not at fault for the distorted/biased rankings is just not true. It wasn't fair and it works to nullify the hard work these boys put into their stage (including YH boys) because their rankings are predisposed due to fan influence. In fact, this behavior seems to have hurt YH boys more than anyone else because they're being targeted/hated for this mess. Of course, as a fandom you'll want the best for your biases. However this is a survival show first and foremost, and hence is inherently about providing an equal platform to judge trainees on. When rumors of unfair practice circulate (ala Nongie & company), it will cause a shit-storm in the survival show world because such practice (whether true or not) works actively to harm the position of other trainees; hence the backlash. This entire situation is extremely unfortunate because YH boys didn't even need the rankings boost; those placed in 30 and under would have truly benefited from this. Not only that, but this has garnered a shit ton of hate for YH boys which isn't fair on them. I really hope other fandoms don't learn from such behaviour and start co-ordinating their votes (on such a scale) as well. This week's live-vote has been exploited by popularity, and I don't want to see the less popular trainees be put on the back burner in future episodes as bigger fandoms fight it out.

Thank god, I thought I was going crazy there. My man is a visual for sure, even my really bad eyesight can figure that one out Also hopefully Xingjie can crack top9. He'd make such an amazing leader, and honestly he could take main rap position as well. His stage presence is undeniable. As embarrassing being compared to Huba is, hopefully the comparisons put him on the chart to fans who weren't aware of him before x)

+Bufan and Xiao Gui, but it's obvious that their loud (adorable) personalities help them. Also I think Nongie is pretty good looking His smile in particular is soo pleasant to look at!

I don't think they meant there isn't a duality between good looks x vocal ability, but more so visual will be favoured first. Fans aren't looking at vocal ability at all, (which is understandable but unfortunate since there are MANY beautiful boys with just as beautiful vocals). I agree with this despite how unfortunate it is. It might explain why Xingjie hasn't yet cracked top9 despite his AMAZING abilities and plethora of talent. He's literally the perfect Idol minus the 'pretty boy image'. Just looking at the top 5, they're all clearly moulded towards the same appearance; really handsome, yet slightly feminine features (esp for Xukun/ZZT). I guess maybe because we know their personalities that their appearance differes to us, but in the most objective sense xukun and zzt are pretty/boyish beautiful. I guess that's why I love Xiao Gui/Bufan since they're hardly beautiful in the stereotypical sense. As much as I understand why beauty plays a part in picking the top9, I will pray upon pray these fangirls start looking at abilities too. Guys like YZJ and Xingjie deserve a solidified position in the top9
