starting to rly not care about kpop at all that much minus svt (stubborn carat till the grave) i still like lots of girl groups and listen to them but the music i listen to is probs only 10% kpop nowadays which is good tbh (i mean excluding the fact that i'm listening to change up on repeat rn) i'm happy bc i'm doing lots of Things with my life, getting shit done, being productive, getting closer and closer to my life goals and just keeping this as something to make me happy/make me laugh when i feel like i need it. i mean i always made sure i never got too deep into fandoms anyway... like apart from the few minutes i spent on tumblr/twitter/wherever to follow things in the daytime i was always focusing on other things and barely thinking about it all then, but i'm succeeding more than ever now i guess

hi i disappeared from this thread like two weeks into DWC era but i'm still about and lingering... it's been a good era! and i'm so sad i can't go to any Diamond Edge dates because the concerts so far have looked so good ;.; anyway, can Wanna Be Seventeen just stop with the fandom colour overlaps, it's just ridiculous and insulting at this point... doesn't help that a lot of their fans are acting brave about it on twitter and saying it doesn't matter because "w1 ended svt!!111!" or whatever. honey they can't end them while they're still trying so hard to be like them but hey, the fans are like the company. it's really childish of YMC to keep doing this when it's clear that Carats aren't OK with it, Pledis isn't OK with it (re: passive aggressive changing of all social media layouts to rose quartz and serenity) and Seventeen themselves aren't OK with it (re: hoshi captioning his selfie #youcantcopythis17carat #rosequartzandserenity). it's like they're doing it for attention lol

nowhere to rant about rpdr lol but the hate for Valentina is truly pathetic. it's gotten to the point where people are comparing her to PhiPhi?!?!?! tf??? ok, a lot of Val's stans were awful and hateful towards other queens and its true perhaps she should have stepped up and told them to stop it more than she did... although going from a reasonably small amount of followers on instagram to half a million in a small space of time must be pretty fucking overwhelming and communicating with the masses like that isn't so easy to tackle. and even if we can say to an extent she could have stopped that, what exactly did SHE do PERSONALLY to warrant becoming Villaintina? Ok, so she didn't text back Farrah for a long time, she kept to herself a lot and didn't really bother to make many friends during S9 filming. Could've been more friendly. And sure, that might mean she's not that deserving of Miss Congeniality. But what's so evil about being business-focused and self-centred in a competition for drag queens? And about post-season drama, didn't she say that she went through periods where she was extremely down and uncertain of herself due to how she was eliminated? Dealing with all of that alongside her sudden insane popularity and the unpredictable behaviour of her stans as well as flat out jealousy lol must have been hard. Let us not forget that Nina and Trinity have shown on social media recently that they're close with Val. Even Aja - AJA! - posted about how she loved and respected her as a queen and as a friend despite that she's a lowkey bitch. (like lots of queens) She can't be THAT bad. I kinda knew her character was a bit 'fake' from the beginning but she's my fave because of the way she goes up on the runway and uses her art to make everyone fall in love with her, turning herself into an angel to transcend her imperfections AS WELL AS her insecurities as a human being (let's not forget that she had an eating disorder). She's magical! Anyway, no matter how much non-Val stans seethe at the sight of her, she kinda won the season even if she didn't win the crown and their obsession with her is only making her victory stronger rather than undermining it, however much they might say that people are starting to see her 'real personality' or whatever bullshit they wanna spout. I mean really. Eliminated in episode 9 but even in the final people were going nuts over how Sasha's lipsyncs BOTH had references to Val with the roses and then the mask. (the second one definitely). You can say OOOH, SHADE as much as you like, but when you're using references from a queen who was eliminated five episodes ago to get heads to turn, you can't really say she's worthless. (Sasha's my second fave after Val and I wanted her to win, but yeah). Valentina practically reinvented masks, bitch. I hope she's ok through all the post-reunion slander. Rose emoji forever! (not that I want to associate with the hateful Val stans, they can choke.)

20k if I remember properly - on Gaon, anyway, not sure about Hanteo. not what you asked, but i know their first ever first week sales were 1.4k - isn't it crazy how far they've come) im all in my feels about svt right now, i owe these kids a lot. they've really just made me happier and i'm blessed to have found them. ever since their debut i've never felt any regret or uncertainty about falling into svt hell, I just love and trust them more and more as time goes on. stanning was the best decision i ever made? usually i fall into weird quick obsessions because i have a bit of an obsessive personality and it ends up kind of harming me and i make an escape but it hasn't been like this with them, it feels like i'm just going about my life alongside them to cheer me up. they've been the best!

hanteo sales should really blow up tomorrow since today is online only!! (still 13k is a good sign for that though - i remember in aju nice (repackage) era it was online only for the first day and they only broke about 4k). also glad that after dipping a bit on melon they're rising again! not that i care that much about charts but i can't help but want it to be well received

Seventeen is really just Jeonghan's harem About the title track, it's interesting that most people think there's a drop after 'ulgo shipji anha' because I thought it was going to go into a longer chorus but maybe I'm wrong, who knows, whatever it is I'm interested

hello I haven't posted here for a while because university has been kicking my ass but YES COMEBACK I am SO pleased with these teasers also woo world tour even though Europe doesn't exist apparently but that's ok the CB is in the middle of my exam prep so I'm not really going to be around (I can say goodbye to my academic success if I give that much time to them, I even feel guilty posting on OH right now) but I have good feelings about it! (can't believe it's in like a week? holy shit) tbh you don't actually have to BE in Japan to debut there. E*O and B*S and G*T7 weren't when they released their first Japanese singles. It is true that Pledis has a tradition of promoting them directly in the country itself, though, I'll admit - After School spent quite a lot of time there promoting, even if they couldn't go on music shows. But still, while I think they will debut in Japan soon, it doesn't necessarily mean they'll loiter around there for several months. They tend to get chucked around the globe form one event to another nowadays because they're kind of 'trendy' rn which wasn't the case for other Pledis groups when they debuted in Japan.

I just came into the thread to post this ~ i was also going to add how (although we might have talked about this before) their stylist, soostyle83/pd2da, is also snsd's stylist. weird for me bc that means she's been the main stylist of both of the only bias groups i've ever had. (tbh i prefer her coordinations for svt to the ones she does for snsd - i was surprised when i realised she does a lot of their stage/award show/and even airport looks bc i actually like how they look most of the time.) (here's her insta with pics of idols wearing her choices) (+ here's soostyle83 which is selcas etc - as well as the pic of her with mingyu + his cooking, there's a selca of where she/staff are staying and a vid of her in a restaurant in LA lol) i'm glad that it seems like the staff and various other managers/industry workers they're taking with them are having a good time, eating good food and relaxing somewhat as well. i talk about hating pledis and while the company/the way its run does frustrate me a lot, i can't hate the individuals themselves working for the company - most of them just do what they're told and they work hard so they definitely deserve to enjoy themselves too.

Jeonghan - Mansae era dirty blondish, or his hair now - I loved his long hair but the way his hair is now, short but still kinda flowing, suits him a lot Joshua - Very Nice era grapefruit hair Jun - Boom Boom black hair (with forehead) Very Nice (with forehead), Mansae ginger-brownish (with forehead) 17 Project (BRING BACK LONG HAIRED JUN) Hoshi - Adore U blond hair Wonwoo - Pretty U era black hair, forehead sometimes exposed, sometimes not (his hair barely ever changes though) Woozi - Mansae era, most talented strawberry to exist ever DK - Adore U era black hair Mingyu - Boom Boom blond hair for me! #unpopularopinion. Mansae blue hair is a close second though. Minghao - Technically he's never promoted with it but the silverish hair he had in their Japan concerts is his best look by far. damn... but also i miss hoshi's blond fried noodle hair from adore u era i still kind of think of him as blond in my mind. it was his most iconic look :( blue haired hosh is great too. i like black haired hoshi too if he has his forehead exposed (he also looks like an edgy emo guy with the black hair, eyeliner and earring which i'm into) but i'd like to see him blond again someday... maybe the trade off for not having blond hoshi is blond woozi, which i'm happy with. if only he'd grow it out so we'd get this again.

because I have no life, seeing as we're talking about MVs, I added up the views of both the SVT channel MVs and the 1thek MVS Mansae - 28.5M (SVT = 22.5M, 1thek = 6M) Very Nice - 25.8M (SVT = 6.4M, 1thek = 19.4M) Adore U - 22.1M (SVT = 16.1M, 1thek 6M) Boom Boom - 16M (SVT = 8.3M, 1thek 7.7M) Pretty U - 11.4M (SVT = 4.9M , 1thek = 6.5M) Mansae should hit 30M soon :D (disclaimer that idrc about YT views for bragging rights or anything but it's nice to know that they've grown a lot) I was kind of having a SVT title track streaming party anyway and having so much fun busting out the choreo or as much as I could sitting on my bed im glad nobody came into my room i look demented) ... i think pretty u has overtaken adore u as my favourite title track it really gets better with every listen, and i've listened to it a lot

speaking of the MV concept etc. I had a dream about SVT's comeback and what the video looked like! i know people are preparing for an exhibition of pasty whiteness but if VM project (who're shooting the MV) is in charge of the casting then there's a chance that the cast will be a little more diverse? they filmed Taemin's Drip Drop and Press Your Number in the US and the actors/dancers in those MVs weren't all white. I'm not sure but they might've also filmed Really Really, which was shot in the US, which also has a more diverse cast. Of course there's not an example of a VM MV with 13 casted girls so we can't really know for sure (i'm clinging to slim hopes) but 13 girls is quite a lot, and if the casting call is open to all ethnicities and girls from a lot of different backgrounds audition I'm going to be pretty shocked if they deliberately go all-white as they haven't really gone that route before. (but this is also assuming that VM is more involved in the casting call rather than Pledis themselves. i really have no idea how these things work... maybe they work together on it? who knows)
