Yep, since they thought she was dropped like a hot potato they were like 'yeah, so let’s move on with our little group. They will be great, they don’t need Somi'. But now it seems like she has a great opportunity to actually be big and they are showing their true colors and getting mad as hell. They were ready to see her flop, with one of them even saying no one cares about her anymore. How is this a betrayal if you guys don’t know how things went down? You don’t know if jype was the one who let her go. Now girl has to build herself up despite the crap some of the so called fans said and from people trying to spread bad rumors about her (which even happened in this thread). Good for her! She’s just a 17 year old kid who works really hard, she deserves a good chance to help her career. And if you like her, you like her regardless of where she is. I never supported her because she’s in JYP and a lot of people are the same as me. We supported because we loved her charisma, her personality, her talents. Since Somi is going elsewhere, I’m not posting in this thread anymore. But if you keep saying things about Somi, Somi fans will feel obligated to come here to defend. So please have some respect and don’t use this thread to say bad things about Somi. Let’s move on from each other cleanly. Somi has a right to follow through with her career and you guys have the right to support this group without people coming here with unrelated topics.

I know some people don’t like this because they feel like she’s under YG and she’s gonna wait forever, but since TBL is independent I’m gonna keep my hope it’s not the case. Honestly I feel relieved? JYP sucks, but the korean landscape of agencies is terrible. You think one agency is bad, but there are so many that are way tragic. At least with this one she’ll have a famous producer backup. And honestly I don’t think it’s the case of TBL stealing Somi. From the way everything was worded and how Somi and her family seemed unprepared, I think they just signed her later.

Seems like she might go solo indeed. I think rollercoaster fits her voice better, but if she does goes solo I hope she makes a different style of songs. I’m gonna wait until the updates die down so I can post some songs that I think suit her voice. We can use a bit of happy speculation around here after weeks of doom

I guess the lack of official statement shows the lack of management. If she was in an agency, they’d release a press release with her intentions and plans for the future (even it’s the plan to rest for now and retake her activities later), something generic but official, something to calm down fans and make the press settle down to avoid speculation. Instead we only got a statement from her dad about eating ice cream, which is cute and all, but does nothing to help with the confusion and speculation. I don’t know, I just feel bad because nothing of this seems planned. Anyway, if we consider this last article bs, then we should consider bs entirely aka what they say about her going solo is not the truth since they don’t know anything. But I don’t even know anymore. Usually sources do know something, but all of this is so weird since the day she got her contract got terminated that I don’t know what to believe anymore.

I’m really worried. All this time I took some small comfort in thinking they had plans for her, but they don’t seem to have them at all. And maybe this is a bit bold for me to say since they are their family and I have no say in their lives whatsoever, but I didn’t want her to be managed by her dad. I wanted her to go to someplace with experience, someplace that would take her career to the next level. Now it feels like they are coasting it. This is sad and disappointing. I never wanted to hear all the noise and the people complaining about her family’s micromanaging, but at this point I’m starting to wonder myself. Just build your own life, Somi. Parents are a beautiful thing, but at home giving love and support.

I found this out the worst way. I was all excited thinking maybe Somi joined Fave, so I went to their thread and people were speculating they left. And now this confirmation happened. Who knows me knows I love Lee Soomin Since Kpop star, and I love Park Soyeon too. How I wish these girls got together somewhere. Imagine the talent! But somehow it got harder now since they’ll probably go separate ways. But if we are talking dream line up, I still wish that she went to HY and debuted with Shihyun and Yiren. Then add Soomin, Soyeon and Somi. I’d add Hyunjin too since it’s a dream line up and you don’t pay to dream. Imagine this group. Vocal, visual, dance. Wow.

Wow what a mess. Came to this thread because I’m a Somi fan and I saw her pic with Soyeon thinking it meant something (like Somi debuting with her) but I guess not. On top of that, I love Soomin too and she’s not part of the lineup anymore Anyway not surprised coming from Fave entertainment. Have a brief experience with them when they managed JBJ and they are not reliable.
