Some Armys in the scenery comment section r saying that you don’t have to play the whole song...you can play for like 30 secs for it to count as a stream
yes but most people will listen to the full song through anyway and not just the first 30 seconds. only the dedicated streamers will be streaming for 30 sec, refreshing, streaming again, etc. doesn't help that scenery is a slower/ballad type song imo.
a lot of the convo about the streams rn remind me a lot of singularity vs epiphany views arguments...i think it's a similar situation

out of nowhere i've been seeing people start to use "solo stan" (on twt mainly) to describe people that only stan 1 group and i'm so confused abt why...i'm pretty sure solo stan has been used only for people that stan 1 member of a group no? (tho it's confused with an akgae a lot). at least i never saw it being used like this before hhh
+ it's often being used negatively by people that stan many groups and it's just funny that they think stanning 1 group is something people should be ashamed of lol. they probably get annoyed at people that make fun of "multis" and are trying to get back at them or something...but it's not like shitting on people that only stan 1 group is new or anything. i mean that 1 vid of that youtuber asking an army abt other groups (and calling her a bitch when she gets it wrong) gets tweeted about every month with kpop fans shitting on her and telling her not to call herself a kpop fan

why are people still using US media only caring about money/fans as a drag or 'concern' over poor groups :((( (that they usually don't even stan)
do people really think US media genuinely cares about every artist anyway? does SK media care about korean artists beyond money/fans??? i really don't get it lol
like there are so many things you can call out when it comes to US media...why focus on this still and act like media is taking advantage of poor groups and their poor companies that don't know any better. they are using each other and that's how this stuff works everywhere. you can hate it if you like but don't act like it's unique to US media or like the companies/groups are not in on it
like i understand if you call out media for reporting irresponsibly because they don't care enough but that's not the only thing people are doing lol

this is cool! ty op. looks nice

you probably already thought of this but it would be easier to make the bb100/200 charts on google spreadsheets.
so you don't have to space out the year/artist/song/etc categories individually and all

is anyone else having this problem with the bighit qr codes? and know how to fix it?
i just did the ly world tour qr code scan and survey.
after, i remembered i hadn't scanned the code for my tear album so tried but it said i had already scanned it for some reason.
checked my page where my points for the scans are and it still only shows the ly tour show...
ik i already did the survey (i'm guessing the ly tour survey is the same/similar to the membership one?) but there are supposed to be points for the products you buy (verified by the qr code scan) so...even tho we still don't know what they're going to use them for i'm assuming it's important
i've seen some other people complain about their qr codes not working too :/

I thought the decrease/increases in rate are because of timezone differences. I also heard, not sure if true, that certain types of views get added on with a delay.
Personally, I don't think Youtube is doing anything specifically different with BTS videos. Which begs the question, wtf are we doing that's so wrong and how can we stop it lol.
idk. i wouldn't find it weird if dna's graph was the same but it's not. dna's mv was also the one that had some views added from that metro uk (potentially questionable?) source. the fandom either started to focus too much on the last few hours (instead of slowing down?) or yt started to add the views differently. i know that for fake love many people (including me) panicked a bit at the end and streamed a lot because of the 24h record and maybe others did the same for idol to "increase the gap" in case youtube deletes views?
i would prefer our rate stayed slowing down, and having a smaller 24h number, than all these deletions/freezes so if this is the reason i hope things can return to how they used to be lol
-
ik people have already talked about yt views for many pages but i really wonder why the view pattern changed with fake love/idol?
seeing this that first day i noticed how fake love's graph had the weird increase of views towards the end, after the view rate first started decreasing...when the same thing started to happen with idol i already got worried many views would be deleted tbh. there might be no correlation but idk, i think if that increase didn't happen at the end fake love probably would have ended up with the # of 24h views it "officially" got (after deletion).
anyway after big accounts emphasized that we need to stream like ~normal people~ i thought there would be a change but i guess not. personally i barely streamed on yt this time

Lmao cmon, did anyone truly expect DNA would blow up so big globally and become such a worldwide hit? I've been a fan of BTS music for a while, but I honestly didn't expect it to get as big as it did.

Although I'd love to be proven wrong again and myb with me saying this, Idol can be the first kpop group to hit 1B views

idk maybe
those of us that liked dna/dna mv probably had more hope i guess loli just hope idol has the same fate
-
Well i think the user means enough longevity to get #1 record in every category. But noone can really predict that now
true. we'll see like i said. \o/
-
This will definitely break the 24h record. I saw a lot of Army's planning streaming events and such. Tho, every big fandom does, so it's expected. Although I don't expect it to have the longevity in views. As it seems a lot of the fans and even non fans are indecisive with the song and the Nicki Minaj MV ver is releasing in a couple days, so the focus will be somewhat split.
So yeh, just my honest opinion
i'm remembering that thread that said dna would have no longevity. and i just went to check and saw you made it lol. hope you're wrong this time too tbh because i love idol and i think it's like fire but 100x better (that had good longevity despite the reactions over it's loudness). but we'll see

the amount of people i saw listening to nicki's new album and praising her even though they've cancelled kpop groups/artists for being 'problematic'. even cancelled groups they used to stan jsjsjs. nicki just collabed with 6ix9ine and that's just the most recent shit she pulled. there's a long ass list. honestly i don't care if you stan her in general (i've listened to some of her songs this year too), and kpop idols that fuck up should be called out, but why are so many people loud about 'cancelling' kpop artists but stan problematic western artists without a problem??

bang pd: plans a hip hop group for years, gets multiple rappers as trainees, gets trainees (namjoon/yoongi) that were already making songs about social issues since they were kids, makes group around underground rapper namjoon. all years before their 2013 debut
tired bap fans: bighit was clearly copying bap (debut: 2012) to make a hip hop group that has many rappers and talks about social issues. they saw bap's success and copied them. also bap would've been just as successful as bts if it weren't for ts!

i swear it sounded completely different the last time i heard it and in my mind it sounded more like n.o.
i thought i hated it even but it's such a bop oh my god

i let things affect me too easily
there's no reason why small dumb stuff like this makes me so upset i get a legit sick feeling in my stomach asdjsjs

yeah both singularity and serendipity have ads. singularity's started before though and u can see the effect in daily views...it's risen like crazy.
Singularity most recent data:
and in the last 24h singu's had 1m+ daily views according to kworb. serendipity's only started like 3 days ago. i wonder if it'll start jumping really big tomorrow
Serendipity most recent data:
i'm confused about why bh would put ads for them specifically though. why not group mvs? or all solo mvs. i remember seeing a chinese taehyung stan on twitter say they bought yt ads for the mv and right after started seeing people mention the singularity ads, but i doubt they've somehow managed to buy them through bh? or idk. if anyone could manage that it would be taehyung and jimin stans hhh. esp with the race to 100m...
