It smells like another planned couple (which will probably involve Chanyeol?) but who knows.

Chanbaek did a lot of fanservice at the beginning and it was indeed pushed by SM, but a lot of their moments are quite subtle and low-key. The fact that they've been in sync a lot of time reveals that they think the same and that there is a connection, I mean it's body language and you can't fake that.
