  1. dont hate me but i feel that mnet really wanted only minhyun out of the 4 nuest members in wanna one. kinda suspicious that during the concept evaluation episode, only minhyun's rank was shown (12), and in the finale, his rank was brought up (11 - prior to voting being closed). im seriously finding their excuse "we're just saying that wanna one will contain 11 members" (for the concept episode) is pure bs. so hella fishy from mnet.
  2. yeah. idk. when daehwi and seonho interviewed sungwoon. daehwi asked sungwoon "what are your feelings toward never" and sungwoon didn't reply. maybe im bring it out of context (mb) but maybe hes still upset about it still.
  3. the thing about sungwoon is that there was a bit of tension between him and jaehwan when they were both in the never team. i really doubt sungwoon wants to be lead (assuming jaehwan is main, and there are 2 leads with minhyun taking 1 of the lead position) i really liked sewoon because he was humble and he had a similar style to jaehwan. plus jaehwan + sewoon would make some good tv. rip howons.
  4. lol. at this point number 11 is more important than 1 and 2 since the trinity wall is like unbreakable
  5. It really depends on the performance. Strong Fanbase (from most popular to least) - if there were no benefits In the same place: sohye (5) , sohee (9) , chaekyung (10), hyeri (13); Avg: 9.25 Fingertips: Sejeong (2) , Chungha (4) , im nayoung (6) , Cathy (8); Avg: 5 I think knetz would recognize who's talented and who's not. If there was a strong fanbase for sejeong, why didn't fingertips win? (i didn't notice eunwoo's crack anyways). If the audience votes for the best member for each role, I think the difference between them would be pretty small. If the audience votes for the best member overall, majority of the votes would go to somi.
  6. "You can have a good song with out high notes :D also Somi can do them" I'm not sure if somi can do the high note in into the new world and in the same place. most (but not all) of the good songs do have a high note cause it fits within the current k-pop mainstream. "I think a strong vocalist is the one who can touch your soul, your feeling with their voice, and there are plenty in the actual top 22" the only people that i would consider strong would be: sejeong, sohee, haein (idk), kim nayoung, yeunjung, and eunwoo (idk). that's not a lot. thats only 6 while the other "15" are stronger in terms of dance, rap and visuals. i wouldve liked juna to be main vocal as well but too bad shes eliminated.
  7. Honestly, with 1 episode to go, its make it or break it - everyone will be greedy by this point. Technically Kang Sira chose main vocal for in the same place, but the group overall voted for yeunjung and ayoung. Plus, yeunjung didn't want to do the main vocal for in the same place in the first place. I thought it was a bit of sira's mistake of not taking main vocal for in the same place and yeunjung couldve taken sira's position (in the song) - sira was thinking more about the group than individually, but eventually, that won't work out. If we look at the "without benefit," we can start to assume that the top 11 won't have a strong main vocal. Since Yeunjung and sira are out of the top 11 (in the without benefit), If the votes were to reset again (after episode 10 was aired), the odds of either of them being in the top 11 is like close to 0. With that being said, if there is no reset, sira and yeunjung would still be out of the top 11 by the end of next week since sohee, chunga, chaekyung, haein, and the dia girls all have a strong fanbase. (Sohee has pretty good vocals, but not to the level of Sira and Yeunjung) - i'm only referring to girls in the top 11 that got an increase in position. Yeah sejeong can be a main vocal, but she wouldn't be able to do high notes since it would strain her voice (eg. yanghwa bridge).
  8. Something unrelated to pd101, but did the Ark unofficially disband as a group?
  9. are there apps (looking for android) to watch the live stream for produce 101 or it just only accessible from websites
  10. The amount of rage just by reading this post. -___- Well in Chanmi's perspective, she wanted redemption for her mistake on ITNW (even mnet replayed that again, even though it was unnecessary). If chanmi messed up the high note in monster, then no explanations would be needed since it would just prove chanmi can't sing that high. However, since she pulled it off, it does show that mnet didn't show the part where she was sick. The audacity to say this. omg. Do you not realize that both yeunjung and siyeon know their team's limits. Yeonjung: She knows that she can do high notes, while juna can do low notes. One compromise was that juna take the main vocals, while yeunjung take the parts where theres a high note, which did happen. However, both of them wanted to be main vocal, which led to the battle between 2 vocalists. Juna can be in the girl group, but its just that the way she does song covers makers her suitable as a soloist - her singing style is similar to ailee (im using ailee as an example) \ Siyeon: If siyeon managed to pull the high note in apink's i dont know, and taeha couldnt (her voice strained), why wouldn't siyeon try me gustas tu? Both siyeon and taeha were in the same team in i don't know, and siyeon knew taeha would strain her voice unless she did a falsetto. The fact that you called yeunjung greedy for trying to claim main vocalist, and haein a good leader is such a hypocrite. Haein took leader, centre, and main vocalist for irony and the team atmosphere was so awkward that when bae yoon jung asked the team if they all agreed on haein to take all the positions, there was like an awkward pause, with a hesitant agreement. Haein's reasoning was that she chose the song, so she'll carry the team. You don't call that greedy? What do you call that? You cant really say she took the burden well since she didn't believe in her teammates, and chose everything for herself. What kind of "leader" doesn't trust their own team. If haein knew her team's abilities, why didn't she let siyeon take main vocalist in me gustas tu, or someone in irony. What's ironic is that you wanted the votes to not be biased, but you seem to be biased based on what is shown on tv. Yeunjung, chanmi, siyeon are top-tier main vocalists despite what was shown on tv. tldr; the fact that you bashed everyone that was shown to have an attitude problem (yeunjung, siyeon, chanmi), while you credited haein makes me wanna roll my eyes. -__-
  11. The whole juna/yeunjung issue is that it just comes to show that these trainees are willing to sacrifice everything just to become an idol (including their dark side). Yes, yeunjung was greedy (in some degree), but that fact that she didn't get main vocal regardless (she got subvocal) just shows that she was willing to let juna take centre (aka. main vocal). There are so many trainees in the show who want centre position, but they aren't willing to speak up cause of the honorific system. Produce 101 isn't a place where trainees are willing to swap roles (eg. kang sira and the other singer, how the other singer was sad she lost centre), the point is to outshine for votes. Some random example: In boxing day/black friday, everyone is going to fight for the things they want. It's not a generosity thing, its every "man" for themselves.
  12. well the difference with this performance is that whoever is center gets main vocal, compared to the 1000 votes performance where centre was mostly the "face" of the group.
  13. the centre position in episode 6 would be the main vocal. since juna got centre position, juna became the main vocal, while yeonjung is basically the lead vocal (sorta). not sure why knetz are so angry about it, they both got what they wanted. -__-
  14. Tbh, it just proves that if you don't vote for your favorite trainee, they're gonna drop. Take Dani and cathy as an example - both of them dropped since there were so many comments (allkpop, koreaboo, etc) that both of them aren't that great yet they're in the top 11. This causes a wave that people would stop voting for them. The effect? They got dethroned. Somi, on the other hand, has a huge fandom. Yes, mnet have manipulated somi into the teasers which caused a huge uproar. But, who doesn't like suspense? It's what creates viewership. More viewership = trends on twitter, naver, daum, etc. Unfortunately, what somi had to endure is part of tv entertainment business (being used and later chucked away like a pinata) Also, having a huge fandom doesn't mean anything if people (on this thread) are saying "im not gonna vote for _insert name_ (eg. a contestant in the top 11) since they're already safe." Other people may have that same viewpoint and vote for someone else (eg. in the low 40's place - 60's). Every vote does count when it comes to competitions. eg. Kang Mina, a 151,795 vote difference (with somi) before the reset, ended up with 3rd place today (post-reset) Final thing to point out. mnet may have placed somi into 4th place so people would start voting for her again. idk
  15. But fantagio just debuted a new male group (astro), so I doubt fantagio would debut them (the girls) that fast.
  16. IMO, it looked like somi was really sad/disappointed about her win. Yes, Cathy was strategically smart by picking Somi for popularity votes, but I think in Somi's perspective, she must of felt it was an undeserved win since she was being used as a tool - it was mostly one-sided. It just shows how people just care about the outcome (to win) and purely ignore peoples' feelings until they're on the receiving end. Had cathy not choose somi, I think itnw would've been an interesting battle (since yeonjung got the most votes for blue, and chaeyeon 2nd highest behind somi)
  17. Too bad chanmi dragged the performance down. I read somewhere on youtube that chanmi may have a comeback despite the slip up (during taeyeons part). But clearly that wasn't the case. :(
  18. The girls who are graded as a's are considered to be the leaders. The names that are bolded are the ones that are mostly in the centre (the one that gets the attention - eg. visuals)
