I wouldn't say SM has great connections in China. They have some, but not much. They have joint ventures; China and Korean ventures with dramas and music, but even then that is limited. China is something that SM had wanted to conquer for years, but could never do it. Can't speak for other people, but with Victoria. There were a lot of offers for her for years, but SM never allowed it. Even when she went on Happy camp, they said they sent a lot of invitations for her, khuntoria, and f(x) to go on the show, but were always shot down. The problem with SM is that they are too greedy. They didn't accept offers for their Chinese artist because they don't want their artist to stray too far from their gasp. At least with Korean artist, they won't have anywhere to go to in the future, but home/back to Korea. SM would loosen the grip on their idols just to yank it back. Think about how much SM blacklisted JYJ members in Korea, yet they couldn't do anything to Hangeng.

The thing is there are a lot of Chinese trainees in Korea, not because they have connections, but it's what they can do musically. A lot of these trainees choose Korea because they have a dream of singing and dancing. Korean are known for their idol system; Kpop.

Talking about this just makes me so mad because as a foreigner in the company they are limited, but if you are Korean you are pushed. It's unfair, but what can you do. Either stay and struggle and gain a platform into the idol world, or go back to your country where the word 'idol' doesn't exist/isn't popular with the public. Right now thinking of Wanna One's Gualin and it makes my blood boil.

I think the Hanggeng era has ended long ago after Tao's lawsuit since SM's been pretty down with their play by being very careful on how they treat their Chinese members due to the Korea-China tension, look at how Victoria and specially Yixing are now freely promoting in China.... SM is starting to reform which is a good thing because they probably realized how trashy and racist they are. Im still pissed off on how they give 0 lines to Winwin thank god they give him screentime now I hope they fix it once he debuts in China line.

on the other hand I can't say much about how YMC,  YMC is the epitome trash we've been knew. They treat Wn1 as their bloody bank account, exhaust Daniel to the extent, trashes on LGL(pretty racist to their only Chinese member). They feed on Wn1's popularity and exploit the fans interest by overselling their concert tickets.

  2. I like the idea of CXK as leader. 1) he seems pretty mature and level headed / speaks English /stands up for the group when appropriate aka "we are chinese". 2) i am hoping with him as leader his fans, the largest group out of 9% fans will take some responsibility for promoting the group and the groups overall wellbeing as well.

the group looked so gorgeous together. like this is such a good-looking group y'all. the blue outfits looked great. the Hd pics were amazing. now I'm thirsty for more

i agree. We saw a bunch of  clips of him being in his leader form and he really is suited to be one. On top of being an individual trainee with no other busy schedule or required company sched priority, he can give most of his time and attention to 9% activities. I wanted Zhengting to be the leader but he's gonna be debuting soon as Yuehua's new bg leader, it'll be tough to lead 2 groups.

  3. Yuehua's been very active lately with their artist promotions, a little bit I think. They already sent 2 WJSN members and some of their female trainees on PD101 China, with their rising star Yibo(UNIQ) being it's judge too, and now promoting  OT7. I think the expansion is good but Yuehua isnt even hiding the fact that they're actually using "these" survival shows to promote their artists to the extent of killing 2 birds with 1 stone, like Nine percent and OT7 for example.

But I hope everything goes well for everyone.

  4. okay so this rumour regarding the boys schedules for the rest of the year has started going around, ngl i hope it's not true because sept/oct for their first album is so long away, both i*oi and w*nna one debuted within two months of the show ending but in nine percents case it would be 5/6 months

if they aren't gonna release their first physical album until sept/oct then i hope they atleast release a debut single sooner because idk if i can wait that long

    Thankfully it's just a rumour.

it reminded me of that rumour circling around  that Wanna-One will visit the IP trainees but it never happened.

I hope the new management will give us an official update soon, we're on the edge of our seats here.

But at least theyre giving us hints... they might be practicing the dance for their debut song since they partnered

with a renowned American hit music producer. Since they're kinda following Wn1's regimen I think they're also filming

now for the reality show so we might get a backstage footage of their 1st fanmeet tour. Hopefully this really follows ymc plans since nobody wants the 6 month hiatus thing to happenimstupid.png
