Mega Coffee is claiming Kim Sae Ron never worked for their company.

In reports on March 11, Mega Coffee told media outlets the actress was never employed at any of their chain locations. A rep from the company stated, "We can confirm Kim Sae Ron never worked as an official part-time employee at any store in the country. The store owner of the location in question has a part-time employee who is friends with Kim Sae Ron. However, the owner has said Kim Sae Ron has never worked as an employee there."

Mega Coffee continued to state Kim Sae Ron's friend quit working at the location in question in September of 2022, and they're not aware of how the photos were taken, adding, "The photos taken in a dark kitchen are not of our store. Our stores don't have a separate baking kitchen."

Kim Sae Ron posted photos of herself working at a coffee store that appeared to be a Mega Coffee location on her Instagram story in the morning of March 11.

As previously reported, the actress' label claimed she was working part-time at a cafe due to financial difficulties following her DUI controversy. However, netizens are bringing up discrepancies as she's said to have hired one of the most expensive attorneys in South Korea for her first trial.

Kakao reportedly plans on becoming SM Entertainment‘s largest shareholder by buying up to 35% of SM Entertainment’s shares at a price of ₩150,000 KRW (about $116 USD) per share. The price is 25% higher than the ₩120,000 KRW (about $92.40 USD) HYBEpaid last month. If Kakao succeeds, it will become the largest shareholder in SM Entertaining, surpassing HYBE, which has a 19.43% stake.

On March 7, it was reported that Kakao and Kakao Entertainmentheld an emergency board meeting on March 6, where the decision was made to start publicly acquiring shares from March 7 to March 26. The total price of the takeover is estimated to cost ₩1.25 trillion KRW (about $963 million USD). Kakao and Kakao Entertainment will reportedly shoulder the cost together.

Previously, HYBE revealed that it has so far acquired 233,817 shares on the public market, good for 0.98% of the company, a far cry from the 25% it had planned to purchase. In total, HYBE owns 15.78% of SM Entertainment shares.

    Stay tuned for updates.

Article: SM artists are receiving 'love calls'... "At this rate, only Aespa may be left"

    Source: Han via Naver

    1. [+853, -122] It's probably better for SM to be left with Aespa and to focus on training new talent. SM has way too many older idols keeping their hands in the jar... Take a good look at why Johnny's failed. One of your responsibilities as an older senior is to know when to back down and let your juniors have a turn. It's stupid to keep squeezing out albums that don't sell... I don't get why they allow it.

    2. [+469, -86] Not like Aespa's doing that well either, it's funny to even mention them ㅋㅋㅋ every album after their first has flopped, and they're desperately behind all the other groups that have reached the top in that time

    3. [+207, -78] SM really only needs Aespa since the rest of their groups are all outdated

    4. [+138, -10] But if SM's groups were to sign with other companies... could they retain their uniqueness? I feel like they would've left way before all this drama if money was all that mattered to them. I'd be more concerned with SM losing their position in the industry at the moment.

    5. [+52, -1] Kang Ta ㅋㅋ who is love calling that geezer

    6. [+54, -21] Am I the only one that thinks SM doesn't even need Kang Ta, BoA, TVXQ, Super Junior, SNSD, SHINee, EXO, and Red Velvet?=
    - They're all has-been idols, no? Almost in their forties now? More apt to call them middle-aged-dols or uncle-dols now.
    - I wouldn't even call Kang Ta and BoA active artists anymore ㅋㅋ

    7. [+33, -1] SM's been way too good to them all this time ㅋㅋㅋ they each got solos and all ㅋㅋ

    8. [+30, -0] Funny how the SM kingdom is crumbling like this when we all thought they'd last forever

    9. [+30, -4] Aespa's also in the beginning stages of becoming has-beens too

    10. [+23, -7] Come to think of it, none of SM's groups really have any competitive merit on their own

    11. [+21, -2] ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Yeah, no one's going to be making any money off of those groups

    12. [+13, -1] Aespa has flopped with everything after 'Next Level'.. they're barely holding on thanks to Karina's popularity

    13. [+6, -1] Aespa holds no power in SM... especially with IVE and New Jeans on the market. They've been left behind and were barely even active last year. SM doesn't need anything but to hold on to Red Velvet. Probably their most talented group with the good songs.

    14. [+6, -1] Aside from Aespa, all SM has left are old time groups that I doubt will be able to recover their glory days.

    15. [+6, -2] The thing about SM groups is that their fans aren't just fans of that one particular group but the whole company. Aespa fans are usually fans of SM as well, so there's no point in dividing up the groups like BoA, Aespa, NCT, and Red Velvet as separate fandoms. They're all fans of one another.

    16. [+5, -1] The best bet for SM groups is to just start their own personal agencies. All of them have such a strong SM color to them that I don't think will be easy for other companies to merge with. In the end, these artists are just suffering over a fight at the top that has nothing to do with them.

  4. Levinson then upped the cast’s star power even more throughout filming, with the additions of Bodies Bodies Bodies breakout Rachel Sennott, Dan Levy, Hank Azaria, Moses Sumney, and megaproducer Mike Dean. Casting K-pop superstar Jennie of Blackpink was the biggest get for Levinson. Under the show’s hashtag and teaser trailers, her stans steamrolled comment sections to cheer on the singer in her first acting role. But crew members claim Jennie has barely any air time and an inconsequential story arc. “It was like three or four lines per episode for her,” a production source says. “They didn’t let her talk that much. Her job was to sit there [and] look pretty, basically.”

A reputation that is almost exclusively held among people who aren't astro fans and coincidentally appeared right after he started dating....All the moments of him being out of it occurred either

    1. when he was juggling Astro's concert/activities and his musical debut at the same time (note when MJ was promoting his musicals he took a hiatus from other activities so the fact that he was showing up at all was impressive and speaks to how much he loves performing)

    2. Shortly after he started dating + was getting hate

    3. In the past few months of contract negotiations in which things clearly weren't going his way

Like I don't think he's out here saving all his fan-letters or remembering everyones name or anything but I don't think his relationship with fans is that different from your average idol.

    Thank you!

it’s so ridiculous seeing non fans saying he left the group bc of his dating scandal and low energy fan service

Article: Lee Soo Man's 'emperor contract' lasts until 2092 "promised 50 million won a year for 10 years even if he doesn't work"

    Source: The Joongang via Naver

    1. [+325, -3] As expected from the creator of the original slave contract ㅋㅋ

    2. [+225, -3] Soo Man-ah, are you serious... Just step back at this point and enjoy the riches of your life. So you got to have your cake and eat it too all this time and now you're sad that you only get to eat?... You've had enough, it's time to step back. And please get rid of these dirty contracts you've set up as well... ㅠ

    3. [+219, -23] Soo Man-ah, where are your donations to Ukraine and Turkey

    4. [+126, -6] This is a straight up scam

    5. [+51, -3] These contracts are basically set up so that everyone else is his worker bee and he gets to eat up all the profits. I acknowledge that he's built an impressive company but he can't keep a straw in it for this long. If SM cannot function without Lee Soo Man, perhaps there's no need for such a company anymore.

    6. [+37, -0] The problem with Lee Soo Man's methods is... that as a shareholder, he needs to wait for his money by being issued dividends on the profits, but he's instead been using obscure contracts like this to ensure that he makes out with all the money without the usual process of dividends...

    7. [+37, -8] I agree that he's greedy but honestly SM is his product and he should be able to take all that money if he wants to. Put yourself in his shoes... how many of you would so easily give up all that he's built up? Don't kid yourself by thinking you'd be a better person by hating on him. As long as he's done everything through legal channels, I can see how someone can get to this point.

    8. [+29, -6] We are not a communist society. His own artists are making enough to purchase buildings worth millions, why shouldn't he get to make his own money too?

    9. [+25, -2] If these contracts weren't illegally drawn up, then our democracy says that he's allowed that money as the contract states. Our world would not function if contracts were terminated based on public sentiment.

    10. [+24, -1] He won't even be alive up to 2092... just donate the rest of your money and go...

    11. [+19, -3] I find it funny at all that people expect Lee Soo Man to just throw aside a company he's spent his whole life building. How many of you would throw such an achievement away?? Should be grateful that he hasn't passed it all down to his children~

    12. [+16, -2] What does he even plan to do with all that money at such an old age? Soo Man-ah, start giving back more.

    13. [+15, -1] Feels like Bang Shi Hyuk and Kakao are the fools in this scenario. This is a dying company and they're trying to put it on life support.

    14. [+10, -1] As long as all the taxes are being properly paid, I don't care how they draw up these contracts among themselves and how they make their money. One of the main themes of Hallyu is success by the bootstraps... Korea needs to stop treating its rich like criminals.

    15. [+8, -0] A contract that pays him until the year 2092... there is no end to his greed

In an online conference on Wednesday, Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Curerevealed two new voice actors in its main cast. This included the announcement that the 20th entry in the long-running magical girl series would, for the first time, include a magical boy in the cast of its main team.

Previously unveiled last month, Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure is the latest entry in Toei's Pretty Cure magical girl franchise, which began with Futari Wa Pretty Cure in 2004. Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure is set to premiere this Sunday, February 5, taking the place of Delicious Party Pretty Cure, which just wrapped up its run last week.

After initially revealing the voices for the first two members of its main team of Pretty Cures, this newest announcement for Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure confirms who will be playing the remaining two of the core quartet. Cure Wing will be played by voice actor Ayumu Murase, making him the first male Pretty Cure to be part of the main team in the series' history. Cure Butterfly, who will be voiced by Ayaka Nanase, similarly goes against tradition by being the first full-time adult Pretty Cure, with the character being said to have recently turned eighteen years old.

Cure Wing is not technically the first male Cure in the franchise. 2018's Hugtto! Pretty Cure featured the character of Wakamiya Henri, who temporarily transformed and joined in with that series' team as Cure Infini. Other series have featured brief gag sequences or imagination spots teasing at the idea of male Cures. Last year's Delicious Party Pretty Cure also included Black Pepper, a magically-empowered boy who acted as an ally to the team of magical girls, though he was not a Cure in his own right.

Ayumu Murase's role thus makes him the first proper male Cure to act as a full-time member of the titular team. Murase is an accomplished voice actor, perhaps most well known for playing Shoyo Hinata in the volleyball anime Haikyu!!. Ayaka Nanase, for her part, previously appeared in such roles as the young Kazuma Souma in 2019's Fruits Basket reboot, and Mary Read in 2021's Fena: Pirate Princess.

The opening announcements for Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure had already indicated that this entry would be bucking traditions. The main Cure leading the team, Cure Sky, is color-coded as a blue heroine, as opposed to the usual Pink or White-themed characters the series are centered on. The additional confirmation of Cure Wing and Cure Butterfly's roles build on those distinguishing choices. Fans of magical girls (and boys) will get to see exactly how Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure's shake-ups play out once the series premieres this Sunday.

LOONA‘s Hyunjin and ViVi have also filed an injunction against BlockBerry Creative, meaning all members of LOONA have now filed.

According to an exclusive report from JTBC, Hyunjin and Vivi recently filed an injunction to suspend their exclusive contracts with BlockBerry Creative. This comes after the other nine members filed their injunctions back in November 2022. It has been noted by JTBC that both Hyunjin and ViVi are likely to win their injunction case as they have the same contractual terms as Heejin, Kim Lip, JinSoul, and Choerry, who previously won their injunction.

However, BlockBerry Creative is currently attempting to restrict the entertainment activities for the aforementioned four members who won their injunction case, as well as Chuu who was removed from the group.

BlockBerry Creative has yet to comment on the report.
