Former Momoland member Daisy has partially won her lawsuit against MLD Entertainment. According to the insiders on October 10th, the Seoul Central District Court declared, "MLD Entertainment shall pay Yoo Jung Ahn(Daisy's legal name) her unpaid earnings, totaling 79,260,000 KRW (~ $66,382 USD)." Back in July 2016, MLD Entertainment debuted its then-new girl group 'Momoland' through its audition survival program 'Finding Momoland'. Daisy was eliminated during the show, however, she later joined the group in April of 2017 after signing with the label in September 2016. MLD Entertainment then deducted about 66 million KRW, which was the total production cost of the show evenly split among 10 contestants, from Daisy's earnings claiming that she should be responsible for the production cost of the survival show as well. Daisy later sued her former label claiming it is unfair to withhold part of her earnings for the cost that was incurred before she signed the contract with the label. Court sided with the plaintiff, Daisy. "Contract is effective since the signed date unless otherwise specified. The phrase 'pre-debut' on the contract refers to the phase from which the plaintiff signed the contract to the actual debut date. Further, there is no evidence beyond reasonable doubt to assume that this is customary practice in the entertainment industry." Court also ordered MLD Entertainment to pay about 13 million KRW which was unpaid to Daisy. However, the court did not side with Daisy on her additional damage claim of 10 million KRW. Source

[+656] What is the court supposed to care about anything written by his international fans for ㅋㅋㅋ 2. [+356] My vote's on jail time... 3. [+291] It's obvious what those international fans wrote in their letters. "It's legal in our country..." But as you know, do as the Romans in Rome, right? 4. [+204] 161 episodes; sounds like some super long drama series 5. [+116] Enough... I want to preserve you in my memories as positively as possible so please just take the punishment that you deserve already 6. [+61] What? Petitions by international fans??? Tsk tsk tsk 7. [+31] It's habitual for him at this point ㅋ 8. [+26] How can these fans call themselves true fans??? If you're a true fan, you should be hoping that he pays the price for his crimes and that he makes sure not to cause any scandals like this again. Wouldn't that be what a real fan would do??? 9. [+14] What a joke 10. [+14] What mercy is there to give? 161 counts obviously means it's habitual for him at this point. Give him mercy and he'll just go and do it again. 11. Article: Idol group has been promoting for so long thanks to hype "We've been on 36 music shows" when most groups are doing one week promos Source: Insight via Instagram 1. [+214] But who are you... 2. [+55] They're going to need to get on a lot more shows than 36 because I still don't know who they are 3. [+9] But who are they 4. [+3] They're going to need to do at least 360 shows then ㅋㅋ 5. [+3] E'Last, do well!! 6. [+1] It's gotta go back to the olden days when groups used to promote for months at a time 7. [+7] If the number of times you were on music shows equaled popularity, then groups like T1419 would be considered popular too. I had to look them up because I didn't know who they were. 8. But who are they??? 9. Fighting~~ 10. I wish them luck~ Source

As an official global ambassadorof luxury jewelry brand BVLGARI, BLACKPINK‘s Lisa has the special privilege of attending its events in Paris. Unfortunately, even though Lisa is already in the city for Paris Fashion Week, YG Entertainmenthas barred her from participating in any event. BVLGARI CEO Jean-Christophe Babin personally took to Instagram to explain the situation to fans. In a recent post, he thanked several people for the brand’s catwalk at the Paris Opera, which Lisa was not present for. He noted that Lisa’s agency, YG Entertainment, did not allow her to attend the event due to COVID-19. He called it a “pity” that she will be missing a big event the next day. In a separate post, he repeated his earlier statement and added that YG Entertainment’s decision caused her to miss a photoshoot with big names like Zendaya andLily Aldridge. Our great ambassador @lalalalisa_m is in Europe. Unfortunately, due to COVID, her agency prefers [that she] not [participate in] events or shows. That’s also the reason why insofar we could not shoot her together with @zendaya, @lilyaldridge and @vittoria for the @bulgari Brand Campaign 2021/22 and [why] we could not run a major event yet together. Although Lisa may be missing a few important events, it is far from the end of the road for her. Jean-Christophe Babin revealed that he is close friends with Lisa and plans to work with her more. But YES we will do it very soon as we are great friends and are striving to really activate the collaboration at 360 degrees. I hope it answers @lalalalisa_m [fans’] many inquiries and questions [that I received.] — Bvlgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin YG Entertainment has yet to release a statement in response to the news. It was recently reported that LOONA‘s company, Blockberry Creative, was in the financial reds. According to a representative member of the industry, the company currently has not been able to pay multiple external companies that have worked with them. Reportedly, unpaid fees are estimated to be up to a few ₩100 million KRW (about $84,100 USD) LOONA’s choreographer, Kim Hwa Young, spoke up about the matter on her personal Instagram. Along with a screenshot of the news of Blockberry Creative’s financial situation, she claimed that she had not been paid since 2020. Firstly, keep up etiquette and give me (the pay) as much as I have worked. I proceeded with PTT (“Paint The Town”) despite not being paid for 2020. Please deposit the money after you check the drafts that I sent you carefully. You promised to make the deposit by September 30, today. — Kim Hwa Young She also wrote a separate post that detailed the matter and made sure to clarify that none of this was blamed on LOONA. In fact, she emphasized that she took the job because of LOONA. I’m so sorry to all the dongsaengs in my choreography team who proceeded with the job while trusting in me until now. Please wait a little! And our pretty LOONA who always works hard! I took the job because of these “daughters” of mine. Even before promotions for PTT, they had not paid us yet but I was told that it would all be paid in August to September so I created the draft and proceeded with the choreography. If the company doesn’t have money, then don’t spend any… I clearly asked you about the pay and it wasn’t even that much money. If anyone hears about this, they’d probably think that it was millions. I’m so embarrassed, that I have to (pursue) such a small sum… But things got big because that small sum kept being delayed. How great would it have been if you paid things on time. It’s not like the kids promote that often, and it is only during promotions that expenses are occurred. Let’s not create a situation where we have to be at each other’s throats and please cleanly pay off all the fees including the Japanese promotions’ and wrap things up! — Kim Hwa Young For those that watch variety shows frequently, you may recognize Kim Hwa Young. She appeared as the choregrapher for many shows including Unnies! Slam Dunk prior. Here’s to hoping Blockberry Creative sorts things out soon! Source
