Video: The Boyz agency under controversy for discriminating against Korean fans (threatening disciplinary punishment...?) Source: TBig News via YouTube 1. [+56] It's so ridiculous. The reason K-Pop has gotten this big at all is thanks to the road paved by seniors and the passionate cheers of their Korean fans. All of the idols after them have honestly just been able to put a spoon down on a table already set for them. This agency is hopeless. 2. [+53] Sasaengs exist in all countries... why only block off Korean fans? Is it so they can look like they have a lot more foreign fans and prove that they are 'popular globally'? 3. [+47] Groups that aren't popular in Korea are bound to fail. Even foreign fans judge groups based off of how popular they already are in Korea. This agency is being foolish. 4. [+39] Their agency seems to have forgotten the days they were never popular... because it's thanks to their Korean fans that they've made it this far at all ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ... 5. [+28] Their agency should be grateful to their Korean fans but they're instead threatening disciplinary punishment;;; if Korean fans aren't allowed to do something, so should the international fans... 6. [+25] Do fans really want to stay fans even after being threatened with disciplinary punishment? ㅎㅎ I'd be like f*ck you guys and leave. Who do they think they are? Do they think their music is some historical level of artistry? Why no pictures? ㅋㅋㅋ If you don't want your picture taken, don't become an idol 7. [+4] How arrogant of them, especially knowing how little Korean fans they already have... they must be out of their minds to be threatening them with disciplinary punishment... 8. [+1] So do they still have hopes of filling up the KSPO dome in August... Their Korean fans make up the majority of their fandom, why piss them off now? 9. [+3] It's like watching a plane that isn't even equipped to fly yet be worried about how windy it is 10. [+1] If you treat your Korean fans like this, they're all going to shut down their homepages. All of the international fans that you're coddling now are going to leave as well because you never see groups that aren't popular in Korea already do well with international fans either. There was a certain other singer who pulled this same thing and flopped. Seems like agencies really are clueless sometimes when it comes to figuring out who really holds the power here. Source

They're removing Chuu from overseas tour They even had a settlement lawsuit before Anyways I feel bad for breadwinner Chuu.. post response: [+260][-8] original post: here 1. [+263, -2] This picture still saddens me.. Chuu had schedules to attend to so she couldn't clean the dorms, so they made her clean back to back with a strike like that... They have 12 members, do they have to do it like that? (t/n: the strike line + 3 next day are all "Chuu") 2. [+249, -0] But even rather than being withdrawn, Chuu should've just left her company and went somewhere on her own and it would've been better for her 3. [+166, -0] Is it common to remove someone for an overseas tour like that? They can earn so much money on international tour, why remove her..? 4. [+128, -0] She has shot tens of ads by herself, if I were her and haven't received my wage, I'd quit too 5. [+87, -1] Chuu needs to play in a bigger pond. She can show her charms even better if she finds another place 6. [+65, -2] In my opinion, since COVID is almost over, I bet the company has already filled the 2nd half of the year full with Chuu's schedules no? Maybe they weren't predicting an international tour? Of course, if this was the case, it means the company can f*cking not work 7. [+38, -1] Chuu let's so get rid of that companyㅠㅠ 8. [+32, -0] Looks like they don't need Chuu anymore now that LOONA gained a bit of recognition through Queendom. If not for Queendom, they would've tied Chuu up until the end. They're too much Source

Cignature was previously known as Good Day, they re-debuted under a different name. It is said that there's a member in the group who majors in Data Science in University of Michigan. They're in talk for being in the festival's line-up despite not being popular. 2. We will clarify about Cignature as one of the artist's line-up. First of all, Cignature's company did not cost any fee for them to perform as one of their promotions method. Our Student Association is an organization that is operated with the student membership fees paid by students of Daejin University. Therefore, we focused on creating the best show with the lowest cost possible and decided to cast a girl group that doesn't cost anything to perform at our show. However, there seems to be a misunderstanding because we cast a girl group that has smaller popularity compared to the other artists, that's why we release this clarification. theqoo -I feel sad for Cignature. I hope they'll hit big so that they wouldn't be treated like this again. -What do you guys expect them to say? -If the student association didn't clarify about it clearly, I'm 100% sure people will still talk about it. I understand that the fans would be upset to see this, but I think they did the right thing. -They should've just stopped after saying that the girl group did not cost any fee. Why did they have to talk about the popularity, I think that's very rude. -They really have to apologize to that girl group... -No matter how unpopular they are, I think it's just wrong to state that in a clarification letter. They really have to apologize to Cignature. -Why did they have to state the group's popularity? I think we already get what they mean even without that statement. -Did they not review the letter before they posted it? -Would they all feel fine if we say that their university is unpopular? -Kids nowadays are really rude -I'm not a fan of Cignature, but it hurts me to see that letter -Just imagine how upset the girls are to see that letter... While you're here, go check out Cignature's Boyfriend, it's a great song. Source

On May 24, Wake One Entertainment released an official statement regarding boy group TO1's activities via the group's official fan cafe. The agency stated, "Hello, this is Wake One Entertainment. First, we would like to thank the fans who gave TO1 their cheers and support during the 'KCON 2022 Premiere'. This announcement is to notify you that as of today, TO1 will be taking some time for reorganization. During this time, activities including schedules, fan cafe activities, SNS activities such as Twitter and Bubble, etc will be halted temporarily. This time will be dedicated for recharging while the TO1 members prepare to show you a new side with their next album, so we ask fans for your understanding. However, member Jaeyoon will continue his activities as the MC of Arirang TV's 'After School Club' every Tuesdays, as normal. TO1 will greet you with a more mature image once again. Thank you." For many, this will not mark the first time that TO1 announced a temporary hiatus for the purpose of "reorganization". Previously, TO1 (formerly known as TOO) had a brief hiatus from 2021-2022, during which the group's management rights were transferred to Wake One Entertainment, and the group underwent restructuring from TOO to TO1. Then, earlier this year in April, Wake One Entertainment announced that member Chihoonhas left the group and terminated his exclusive contract with the agency. As of May 25 KST, TO1's last comeback album release was approximately 7 months ago with their 2nd mini album, 'RE:ALIZE'. Now, Wake One Entertainment's sudden announcement has led to numerous speculations on various online communities. Some are commenting, "Are they going to switch out or change members?" "Are they going to debut again as TO2...?" "There's definitely more to that statement than they let on... if it was just a 'vacation' for the members, they would have no problem disclosing that it was a 'vacation period' and how long it was going to last." "Based on the seriousness of that statement, it seems likely that there is going to be some serious changes." "What about Woonggi???" Others have also raised speculations that the members of TO1 may be competing on the upcoming Mnet survival program 'BOYS PLANET' soon. Some comments said, "Please do not send our boys on that 'Boys Planet' show." "This basically means that TO1's activities are over. If they go on 'Boys Planet' and some of the members make it into the debuting team, then they won't be able to promote as TO1 anymore." "You really can't rule out CJ sending out idols from its past survival programs on new survival programs... it's happened too many times before." "They're gonna be on 'Boys Planet'." "Cutting off all SNS channels?? That is too suspicious." "If they really go on 'Boys Planet' I am going to flip." Meanwhile, the members of TO1 debuted through the Mnet boy group survival program 'World Klass' in 2019. Source

On May 25, rookie girl group H1-KEY's label GLG released an official press statement to announce member Sitala's departure from the team. The agency stated, "Hello, this is GLG. We would like to notify that member Sitala, who has been a part of H1-KEY until now, has decided to leave the team due to personal reasons. The agency discussed this matter at length with Sitala herself as well as with the rest of the H1-KEY members, and the decision was reached after a thorough review of the overall situation. Above all, we apologize for causing concerns with such sudden news. We ask for your warm encouragements toward Sitala's future, and also toward the remaining H1-KEY members, who plan to resume the road to their dreams once again. Thank you." Th 4-member rookie girl group H1-KEY debuted earlier this year on January 5 with the release of their 1st single album, 'Athletic Girl'. Then, during the group's debut promotions, member Sitala became wrapped up in controversy after some fans raised concerns over her Thai family background. Source

They forced fans into becoming crabs post response: [+507][-18] original post: here 1. [+366, -1] This is crazy imagine how many hundreds of dollars the fans spent to be there, do you think they want to knee down after that? 2. [+175, -43] This isn't NMIXX's fault but JYP's what's up with people hating on NMIXX there 3. [+158, -1] JYP seriously... What is this? Is it this hard to put a few chairs here? 4. [+97, -2] It reminds me of the 2010s when they just introduced Fansigns 5. [+77, -1] The company is f*cking too much, it's not like it's still 2012 right now, why aren't they getting them chairs... 6. [+48, -5] As expected, the cost-effectiveness-flop JYP 7. [+265, -2] It's even more shocking that 36 people bought it (T/N: there's a notif saying "36 people are currently buying this product") 3. [+181, 0] Go take a look at that person's Instagram.. I was shocked 4. [+156, 0] She looks like the mannequin in front of a clothing shopㅋㅋㅋㅋ is she really a human...? Her eyes don't look human though..? 5. [+152, 0] I saw her Insta and I kept going "huh? Is she really a human...?" but I read some foreigner's comment asking "are you real?" ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 6. [+124, 0] Is this Attack on Titans? 7. [+108, -2] What's happening to the Goraebap snacks? 8. [+89, 0] I was interested so I looked through her Insta and... she should work on her autograph instead of editing her picture "When you cut off the weekend... it's Monday" (T/N: she confused 끝났고 (end/is over) with 끊났고 (cut off)) Source
