It's been almost a week and the only thing that has been on repeat for that past few days has been this masterpiece of an album It was a lot different than anything they'd come out with but they once again owned it and came through with some amazing summer tracks. EXO's always out there experimenting with new genres and styles but I love how they always manage to retain that signature sound that screams "EXO". A 10/10 album. The Eve is THE perfect opening track with the suspense build up through the initial verses and the faux horn in the background during the chorus. KOKOBOP, as it says in the name is a BOP. Although the breakdown felt a little chaotic in the beginning, it took a few more listens and the live performance to appreciate it. The catchy chorus in What U Do, when all the members join in and sing, gives off such a positive and energetic vibe. Forever worked wonders and is perfect in every way, from the verses to the on point vocals and the raspiness and speed of Chanyeol's verses...holy. Diamond is an interesting song but I really adore the Middle Eastern influence they had going on with the instrumentals. Touch It is that funky groovy number you'd find yourself listening to while, all prepped up in a crisp black suit and a little wine glass on one hand. Chill basically needs to chill. The track was bouncing through a lot of styles and sounds and the sudden beat drop left me at a loss for words. It doesn't get any better than this. Walk on Memories, the familiar soulful ballad-like track that you'd usually find on their winter albums, was amazing. The never ending ad-libs and melodies in this song are blissful. The vocal harmonization. I felt like I was walking in heaven. Going Crazy with it's orchestral sounds was a flawless end to a flawless album. I need to see them performing it live with one. THE VOCALS. IM ALL HERE FOR CHANYEOL GETTING TO SING MORE AND KYUNGSOO JOINING THE RAPLINE THE PRODUCTION AND FINESSE IN THIS FUCKING ALBUM. THEY DID THAT I could keep talking about this for DAYS but EXO outdid themselves and I couldn't be happier. To see everyone enjoying the music, unlike EX'ACT era when the first to complain were the fans themselves, is a really refreshing sight. TL;DR BUY THE WAR ON ITUNES AND UPGRADE YOUR MUSICAL TASTES
