Song Jihyo has confirmed her new drama!

On February 2, the actress agency Creative Group ING confirmed that Song Jihyo has received the offer to star in the TVING original 'Come to the Witch Restaurant' (literal translation). The drama will be based on the story written by Goo Sanghee that won the Daesang (grand prize) at Kyobo Book Centre's third story contest. 

The drama tells the story of a witch restaurant that sells food that grants wishes and customers who want to live different lives even if they have to sell their own souls. Customers of the restaurant can be healed by the witch's food during a difficult time in their lives. Song Jihyo will play the witch role Jo Heera who fulfills people's wishes with food. 

Nam Jihyun and Chae Jonghyeop are in talks to join Song Jihyo in the drama. It is scheduled to air as an eight-episode drama later this year.

Song Ji-Hyo offered lead role in JTBC drama series “Begin Again

Song Ji-Hyo has been offered the lead female role in JTBC drama series “Begin Again.” Currently, Song Ji-Hyo is “positively considering” the offer. The drama series will be Kim Do-Hyung. He and Song Ji-Hyo previously worked together in 2006 MBC drama series “Princess Hours.” If Song Ji-Hyo accepts she will play No Ae-Jung. She hasn’t dated in 14 years, but 4 men approach her.

“Begin Again” first airs sometime in the first half of next year in South Korea.

Song Ji Hyo Confirms to Lead a New Mystery Thriller Film

The lead roles have been confirmed for the upcoming film “Daughter,†which began filming on February 13!

“Daughter†is a mystery thriller that tells the story of Yoo Jin, a woman who returns to her family after going missing for 25 years, and her brother Seo Jin, who doubts his younger sister after her return.

Kim Moo Yeol will take on the role of Seo Jin, a promising architect who experienced childhood trauma from losing his sister. He is cautious of his younger sister who has returned. While he recognizes her, she feels unfamiliar to him and gives off strange vibes. With this character, Kim Moo Yeol hopes to showcase a wide spectrum of emotions.

The actor commented, “When I first encountered the script, I was impressed by the film’s new approach, which is not as easily found in Korean films. I want to complete the film with great acting.â€

Song Ji Hyo will play the younger sister Yoo Jin. She reunites with her family after 25 years, but she is still somewhat unstable. The actress will bring out much suspense in the first half of the film, and it will be an opportunity for viewers to see a different side of Song Ji Hyo from her friendly image in variety shows such as “Running Man.â€

The actress responded to the casting news by saying, “It’s starting to hit me that this is really the beginning. I’m excited to be taking on a new role. I will do my best to convey the emotions I felt through the movie.â€

Songs slaaying hard for blackmore

I think the main Issue with the new members is, that they might be favoured by the new PDs, but the new PD's forget that Song Ji Hyo is one of the publics most favourite members, many of us literally watch the show to see her, and many of us started to watch RM because of her, for us who watch the show for the sake of the old members. The divide in screentime is soo biased. The funny thing is that videos with SJH rarely get released, but when they do, her popularity really shows because her videos usually have the most viewers, but the PD's ignore it and don't take advantage of her popularity.

Also it's not SJH's fault that her character has been fading away, the production has literally done nothing to highlight her character, even when she wins, her achievement is rarely highlighted but skipped instead, i used to love seeing her paired with male handsome guests, but she rarely get's paired with them, and once she does, their interaction is not showed throughout the episode, the old PD's used to highlight these moments and i loved watching them, the new PD's are doing the complete opposite.
