I'm glad they survived the 7th year spell. As Gfriend and LOVELYZ disbanded and Apink perhaps being inactive from on now, there wasn't any gg with the sweet sound left in Kpop. LABOUM are the only reason I am still here The song is so sweet and lovely and it gives me winter JTA vibes. If only they used the attention to comeback earlier when they were viral, it had higher potential to be a hit, but at least they survived disbanding which means a lot

Their song Journey To Atlantis went viral after TV program Hang Out With Yoo covered it. It became a hit in spring and peaked on MelOn's top 10 and was in top 100 until few days ago. Honestly they could have made a better use of the attention to maybe get another hit like Brave Girls did, but their agency had gave up on them as it was the last months of their contract. After the contracts ended, one member parted her way and others signed with another agency. And they just released their new album some minutes ago .

If someone told us LABOUM would be one of few ggs surviving 7 year spell back then, everyone would perhaps laugh. Their last few months before contract ending really turned the tables for them.

It was the time that I was the most invested in Kpop. I used to lurk on here and enjoy reading all that drama lol. Everyday, multiple threads would appear and other stans were sick lol. I lowkey miss it. It is the end of an era. Feels weird how those "top" rookies are both gone now

I am pretty sure I read that they do not, around their debut date. So where did all the splurging before their debut even get them? They are in the beginning of their fourth year and never even managed to enter Gaon's top 100 let alone get a hit. Their album sales are decent for a girl group but it's not like it's too impressive either because groups like Dreamcatcher, StayC, WJSN, GIDLE, etc, many of which are mid-tier groups manage to sell 100k+ without having spent an unreasonable amount like that. The "international" fame their stans were hyping them up for didn't save them from all this. Idk why the agency was aiming for the sky high like that. A group can be mid-tier like LOVELYZ, WJSN, Momoland and still be making decent money and keep going for 7 years. They perhaps thought they would get a female version of BTS, not even a 5 year old would be that crazy tbh.

I'm a bit late. As much as I will miss Yujeong, I am proud of LABOUM for surviving the 7th year spell. They only saw some light in very recent months yet decided to keep going as a group
