I don't think HYBE has an interest in a famous gg, if they had, they wouldn't disband Gfriend (who may not have been on top but still had a hugeass brand). They perhaps acquired Source just because they were friends with the CEO, they disbanded their breadwinner group and now aim on working a brand new gg.

It doesn't seem like they are, who knows if Gfriend will be the same though. Gfriend showed way less interest in pursuing solo careers. And even if Gfriend doesn't desire to be more active as a group after leaving the agency, they really DO deserve to have the right to their own names. It's really not pleasant that the agency will still be making money off of their name and the girls can't have the right to their own group's name. They didn't help the agency to rise from the ashes to be treated this way....
