If you lift the photo up a bit, it turns out quiet nicely. The logo only appears on 1024px resolutions and it doesn't look too bad.

Sorry I missed this. The image fits fine on all resolutions but a member does end up a little obscured behind the top menu on smaller resolutions. The background is subtle enough so we could fade it to pink and squeeze everyone inside. It works out ok but I think the unedited photo is the better choice. Sorry I missed the previous collage. Both of them are fine to use!

Yep! You don't have to extend the bottom, I tried it out in the template and it fits all resolutions perfectly.

Edited images would include excessive brightening, sharpening, or filters, changing the background, etc. Basically turning the photo into an art piece, lol. If the photo has a solid color background that can be easily extended if necessary, we'll allow that. If the background is too complex, a city setting for example, that would be more difficult to extend so it won't be allowed. You can otherwise also make a collage of photos in case an older group hasn't had any new group photos in a while. For active groups, a regular photo is preferred but collages are still allowed, especially if there isn't any recent photo that properly fits into header. That photo of f(x) is perfect though! The template is admittedly outdated so I have replaced it with an updated version with better instructions. That is correct though, you are scaling it from the center-top of the image. All those examples are correct! It's not your typical press photo so it can be allowed.

The image quality will turn out really blurry and grainy if you size it up. It would be better to find a bigger and higher quality image.
