  1. Happy 11th Anniversary, Super Junior! You weren't meant to succeed, yet you did and in spectacular style.
  2. Between DH's birthday, RW's enlistment, and YS' Hiroshima concerts, I read this in the New York Times a couple days ago about the Gyeryong military cultural festival. It's a pity Motoko Rich didn't bother to mention the SJ members by name. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/16/world/asia/south-korean-army-k-pop.html
  3. http://www.instiz.net/pt/4027067 From Instiz, the post is titled "the state of Super Junior these days", from Aug 25. I can't translate much of the post but the cartoon is clear. Many comments are sympathetic (((Leeteuk))). Some comments are just mean like all comment sections, but there are also some Exo fans who addressed him as LeeTeuk-nim and apologized. At the end of the post they also mention it was Yesung's bday that day. I don't want to keep the bitterness going but wanted to show that K-ELF didn't let this go. I read elsewhere that k-Angels reported the nastier tweets hoping Leeteuk wouldn't see them. Fans of the other group already moved on with the Lotto promotions and ELF are left with bad feelings. I hope it didn't upset him.
  4. I knew that in my mind, but actually seeing how much more of a non-entity they are now compared to 2 years ago is saddening. There are huge pictures of other Kpop idols all over but even at Incheon airport with Lotte duty free and Korean Air (which only last April had KH At G, D&E TBGO, SJ Mamacita in their entertainment selections and now only has KH and 1 episode of She Was Pretty) they're barely there. But I have to admit they do well for a group that seems to have been erased. I hope they come back strong.
  5. I just came back from Korea. I watched as much TV as possible and was sad to note the only SJ presence I saw was Zhoumi on The Show and KH on Radio Star and LT on I can see your voice. I hope SJ singers will participate in Fantastic Duo (even though the theme song is BigBang's Fantastic Baby) and other non-cable shows that seem really popular. I was there for 2 weeks and it seemed like SJ was invisible in kpop news.
  6. Japan tour -- Yay! I was feeling sad because Super Camp New York seems to be cancelled but I'm happy he's in demand. When I think about him missing most of SS5 and SS6 I am glad he has a chance to perform.
  7. I am so thankful for the updates!! Also that even though YS' debut seemed to start off a little shaky, he found his footing and is happy with what he's doing and the concerts are going well. Yay! I want and need to see the fancams of him dancing! Can't wait!
  8. A kind soul êµ¬ë¦„í† í”¼ì•„, posted Yesung's part on Sister's Slam Dunk that aired on 5/27/16 http://youtu.be/3trk0iwuwmc
  9. I saw something on Twitter about a play on his name that showed his sense of humor. Day6 was complimenting his voice (both singing and speaking) and he told them to call him Yesung-hyung. Yesung, the nickname for "artistic vocals" but maybe it really means "sensitive personality" 예민한 성격 I'll wait along with everyone else for the more fluent to translate to see if there was any mention about the Situation.
  10. Yesung did well on his broadcast. I'm slow at reading Korean but the comments on the KBS Kong phone app looked positive, lots of hearts, kissy lips, "moksori chohayo", "Yesung DJ is the best", and fighting! I don't know if those are the same comments he saw on his monitor, but maybe since there were some in Chinese and English too. He stammered a little when reading product endorsements (maybe prizes?) but I don't think it was out of nervousness. Last song was 'My Dear' from the CD, not sung live. He looked cheerful and put up a good face for the anxious fans to see.

  13. I feel both of you. I remember an interview he did in the past year where he said that if he could, he wouldn't change bad things he did in the past because they made him into the person he is today. He talked about how he used his will power to change himself. Now I feel betrayed, that that was a lie. Maybe he did change but his words and his actions don't match. Maybe I'm a fool but I trust that some of it was true but he still has a lot of work to do. I'm also furious by the knetz and trolls--so insulting and cruel. He did wrong and he will be punished by the law and by whatever SM decides to do. It won't be good but thankfully it will won't be decided by a jury of his antis. I don't defend his actions at all because he was 100% wrong. But these people telling him what to do, to quit, to "go away", that if it weren't for SJ he would have been a neighborhood thug--they need to stop. They never cared about him, SJ, and do you really think they care about SK society? I don't. They see an easy chance to kick someone when they're down and refuse to see him as a human being who has a serious problem. He knows what's at stake and he still messed up. He knows he could have killed someone and by the grace of God it was only a lamppost. How awful must he be feeling? I despise what he did but I can feel empathy because I too have let people who trusted me down on more than one occasion. I guess I'm feeling a lot of different things but I can't find it in my heart to condemn him to hell, even if he has to go to prison and go on permanent hiatus.
  14. I've been under a rock today and I finally check twitter and what? Kangin DUI?? I thought that this year, SJ was just going finish enlisting, have a few Super Camps to encourage their fan base, launch some solos, and plan things out for their comeback in two years, but now the floodgates of hate have been opened. The tone of those hateful knetz comments are as if the SJ ahjushies have imposed on the public long enough. I hate drunk driving. I hate the behavior, but that doesn't mean I hate the person (because he didn't injure anyone this time--injure someone and I'll change my mind). Kangin supports and comforts all the members during their hard times, so I hope they're both supporting him and setting him straight. He must be hating himself right now. He knows it was beyond stupid. How the heck did he have a blood alcohol level of 0.05 after 11 hours? He must have been drinking after the accident, maybe out of despair. I expected better of him and I am disappointed but probably not more than he and the members are.
  15. I can't wait for Super Camp NEW YORK! Wish it could be all of them but I'm more than happy with these five.
  16. Agree. ELF in the Americas don't care as much about that only 13 nonsense. Henry can help communicate too and they can perform Don't don if one of them can rap.
  17. LOL, I live to overthink this stuff! I know their social media isn't their real lives so I hope KH showed support in their group chat. Even if he doesn't like or respect YS, it is the right thing to do as a long-term coworker. Sungmin seems to be keeping off social media. I don't know if he said anything about RW's solo either.
  18. Maybe his appearance on MBC Duet Song Festival? It usually airs on Fridays, so on May 20.
  19. I saw the blue moon tweet and IG post. Is it a random blue SJ post or... since the next blue moon is on May 21, 2016... is it a hint? http://twitter.com/shfly3424/status/732243390952132609
  20. Thanks! I was afraid what would happen if I click on multiquote.
  21. I don't know how to paste a quote from another thread, but Duck Clan from the Super Junior thread searched it and the picture is "The Ugly Duckling". I hope he's okay.
