  1. I went through that last year, I was finding everything a lil too boring and repetitive... Then I stepped back, stopped listening to it for a while and enjoyed whatever else I wanted to enjoy (other types of music and such), and now I'm back on the kpop train and I'm loving it lmao but I don't watch variety (my only exception is Gfriend's) and I don't really bother with most live stages either. It's maybe "low effort stanning" but I don't care, as long as I'm enjoying the music I'm good

  2. Pretty sure there was a presidential speech about the issue and after that a bunch of celebrities started posting about it. And yeah, I doubt any of these idols will ever promote in Korea again, the WJSN members are the only ones I follow and they're not coming back... It sucks, as much as I've been a fan of theirs for a long time, this is not something I look at lightly. Will we ever know if they're doing it for publicity only or because they truly believe in it? No, but it still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth as a fan to witness it. 😕

    4. [+17, -2] Remember there was that sports player a few months ago who commit suicide after years of abuse? And after all that talk, no one mentions it anymore. It's the same with idol agencies. They're in the news every once in a while and it gets people riled up but people forget all about it once BTS gets on the Billboard or something. Koreans are rock bottom when it comes to sentiment on human rights. People will fawn over idol survive shows while ignoring the pain and suffering that these idols are experiencing everywhere else.

This... I'll never forget Jang Ja Yeon's suicide... Back when it happened it opened my eyes to the horrors that happen behind the cameras and how often young people are taken advantage of and abused - mentally, physically and sexually - in the enteirntement industry. It's actually devastating that these situations are so common... I really wish things could change sigh
