For me Leslie can be so v manly too, I don't if you remember Days Of Being Wild the famous clock scene with Maggie Cheung. So hot, so v manly ... And I see that duality in Ksoo too, v manly but also v vulnerable/ delicate...

For me, I see it in the emotional intensity of his gaze, which was why I started paying attention to Ksoo in the 1st place. i watched IOIl for Gong Hyo-Jin, and left with a deep impression of a pair of eyes I cannot forget. In that close up that photographer took of Ksoo looking back, i see Leslie. Yeah more aura than physical resemblance perhaps. Yet again on certain red carpet nights the black and white photos of Ksoo in tux does remind of a young Leslie looks wise. The journalists are probably referring to the fact that ksoo has the potential like Leslie to hold a position at the very top of both the fields of acting & music. Such high expectations though. Those are giant shoes to fill. Ksoo is only all potential at the moment. I never realised Leslie was so popular in SK before I started stanning Ksoo ... haha.

Yeah, I think he handled that whole event with so much class, really in control of the whole potentially awkward situation. He's matured so much in this last year. Feel so proud of him.

The Japanese are endlessly enamoured of her! I always imagine adapting Austen as a Heian period Jidaigeki/court drama or something. The latent passive-aggressiveness in the Japanese language would suit Austen v well! But you've inspired me! Now I'm imagining how Emma, P&P & Persuasion would look like condensed into 1 High-school K-drama! Haha, it'll be brutal! I won't want Ksoo to be in it though.

Yes I guess you have a point there, watching that particular scene I remember thinking if I had a pre-teen kid I won't be letting it watch UNF, they so suggestible these days. A pity though ... I suppose a P-G rating alone won't suffice in SK perhaps.

Since I'm camping out here tonight I'd like to say something that I think might interest you ladies passionate about Ksoo re watching UNF in the theatres. While I didn't like the film (I give it 2/5), I thought it was strictly for kids and fangirls (that's me, I still watched it 3x in 9 days from Seoul to Busan, haha) I have 2 good things to say though: 1. He slays the big-screen close-up. I'm not just saying this as a fangirl (my eyes are already auto-drawn to him in every exo-fancam, haha) but really in every scene of UNF he is in, your eyes are drawn to him even in a scene with many faces. For me, that's a basic criteria for a leading man/lady, you just can't draw your eyes away. 2. His voice just lingers there in the air in the theatre. It's delicious! So i think as long as the next works don't bomb again at the box-office, his career as a leading man is looking hopeful (fingers crossed.) That said, I wanted to note also that there was no way UNF could've done well at the box-office (even with the fan support & the 'KS theatre'). While I'm unfamiliar with how the film distribution system in SK works, I noted the only time-slots UNF were screened at were around 8:00ish, around noon and past midnight. And that was starting from 26Feb (2-3 days after premiere was it?) In many popular locations like Myeongdong (Lotte/CGV/Megabox it was the same) there was only 1 noon screening/day (even for that 1st weekend). And only on the Public Holiday Monday that week i saw one 18:00 screening at a Lotte Cinema in Busan (I was checking daily online throughout my trip). I wondered who could've gone to the cinema at those kind of hours? (Me actually ... the ones I went to were really empty.) Maybe someone with knowledge of how it works can give an explanation for this. Lack of investment/ $ by Jupiter Films maybe? Spirits Homecoming was slaughtering it, massive queues and 6-10 screenings/day, but even the Kang Ha Neul Poet-biopic had a few good screen-slots for quite a period of time ... Hopefully with the kind of $ CJ is reported to be pumping in there won't be a repeat of this for Hyung.
