    "Plagiarism" accusations get thrown around all the time. Very rarely do they ever have anything substantial to complain about. The articles in mention is from Pann, which is a site known to throw random hate at idols. Not to mention, the article only had a handful of upvotes on it. I wouldn't stress.  

     

    As Pristin becomes popular, they're going to be faced with this kind of response as well. Prepare yourselves. 

     

    Focus on their talent and accomplishments, forget about the rest chuplz.png

    I doubt it. 

     

    People still pull the iljin card with N@n@ (& others idols), but that hasn't stopped her (& them) from being successful.

     

    I know it's difficult, but we've just gotta accept that hate is going to happen to the girls (ESPECIALLY around debut). Sometimes it's okay to push back, but a lot of the time you've just got to let it go. Let it roll off of you like water off a duck's back.

    About the name changes,

     

    Produce 101 girls who made it far in the competition try to keep their names since that what a majority of people recognize them as. (Siyeon seems to be a special case because she was already using a stage name, but they only changed it slightly so that people could still make the connection.

     

     

    About mock badges,

     

    Alright, so I used the vast recourse of past mock badges to frankenstein up a mock that will hopefully get my general idea across. (Thank you to all who I basically stole from, but I claim no credit for the work!!!) The colors from the burger spoiler are a little darker than what I used, but I couldn't get it to look right any other way. I think we could play around with it some more, it still looks like there's something more needed, but I'm not mad at it. Somebody with some actual skills would still do load better than me though.

    SUGGESTION:

     

    What do you all think about using the burger sign spoiler as inspiration for the group badge? Either the design, the color scheme, or possibly both?

     

    Since it was pretty much THE BIG HINT we got for their debut, I think it would be kind of nice to remember it in some way. It helps that it uses Pristin’s two unofficial colors, but it also has the added bonus of a pop of yellow too. (See what I did there hurrplz.png)

     

    I don’t have the photoshop skills needed or else I’d have a mock made up to show, but thoughts anyway?

    You know being a IOI stan, I am also proud to have Nayoung as our leader. She is really warm and caring. A leader that will look after her fellow members well. Under her, I believe that we can rise to the top.

     

    And also, let's us all Pristin stans be a family to one another. A family that will support the girls through thin and thick! We shall be their umbrella that will shelter them from the rain, the shield that will defend them against haters. smile.png

    hello, i watched their teaser and it looks and sounds really cool!

    Does anyone know who made their MV (idk why but so far it gives me so much a vibe of Naive Creative)? Thanks

     

    I've seen people say this on Twitter as well, but for now we still don't know who made it. Naive Creative uses a really similar rich color palette, so the odds of them being behind Pristin's debut mv are looking pretty good!

    Oh. I am genuinely surprised by the warm reception. Not because you all aren't sweethearts, but because I didn't think they were all that good. But thinking objectively, there are some tragic fandom names out there...

     

    Also, this might be no good, but... 

     

     

    I found out the root word of prismatic is actually "prisma". A Greek root word, prisma means "thing sawn". Don't know how to spin that into a meaningful fandom name, but I think its slightly better than Prismz. Probably still too close to Prism though...

    Don't slander these too hard, I tried my best with what we were given... Which isn't much once you take away Prism.

     

    Anyway, these are focused more around the prismatic concept, because wtf are we suppose to do with elastin???? But since MOA asked... just don't judge me pls...

    1. P R I S T I N  –  I R I S.

                     Short, sweet and not too girly. You can’t spell Pristin without Iris, p R I S t I n. Greek myth connections, was the messenger of the Gods who was the “personification of the rainbow†(thanks google). Similarly, as a fandom we’d be the messengers of Pristin. Rainbows are a pretty good manifestation of prismatic (or as close as I can get). I can totally see kfans saying something like, “let’s walk the rainbow path forever Pristinâ€. They’re also flowers. A name too. Downside is it also happens to be a part of the anatomy… Plus idk how it sounds with a Korean pronunciation, so. 

    2. P R I S T I N  –  A U R O R A.

                    Again, going for that prismatic effect. This time though, more scientific. Honestly, I could google this as well, but I think I wouldn't really understand the process all that well this late at night. Anyway, think the aurora borealis. Colorful, a touch wondrous, maybe has to do something with prisms? Who knows, not me (although I should). Downside, a little girly and also a mouthful. Feels like I’m making a weaker case for this one. Ha.

    Wow, so many responses I thought something had dropped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm a little disappointed that it was nothing...

     

    To add,

     

    I'm still bitter that prism was snatched straight outta our hands... it would have been such a perfect fandom name.

     

    Not gonna lie, I've pondered over other possible names. Thought of two so-so ones, but nothing that I would be brave enough to introduce to the fandom. Haha, I'll wait and see if Pledis is open to suggestions the way they were for 17's official fandom name, maybe then I'll share them.

    looking forward to hearing OT10 We studio version and so glad that they included it


     


    unsure of how I feel about WeeWoo. for their debut song, it is nothing like what we've seen them produce before, and I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing... it might be that backing is too loud or the vocals have been worked on too much, but it doesn't even really sound like our girls to me... this snippet seems to be ripped from the pre-chorus so you can't really judge what the song is going to be. hopefully the mv teasers will help in this department. fingers crossed...

    I'm in the lounge freaking out over these and thanking the universe that my first period meetings were postponed.

    TBH, I'm somewhat torn over Sungyeon's concept photo. Her styling is the most simple AND they gave her a lot of negative space, so the picture looks a little underwhelming. They really should have pulled in for a close up. I would have loved to be overwhelmed by her cherub face â™¡â™¡â™¡

     

    ****Also just noticed that she's not really in the center of the photo, more at the bottom half. So your eye-line is drawn more to the green pole she's leaning against (and her cute hair bun) at first glance. Odd. Really odd.
