  1. My issue isn't really of accusing the poster of lying since the Twitter person brought that on themselves.

My issue is pointing to someone who may or may not be guilty, and linking to someone who may or may not be the actual poster. Who may just be an innocent person doing their job.

K-pop fans aren't nice people when their faves are in danger (and they shouldn't be). A lot of them also don't do research and are quick to jump the gun, so I just don't want some poor dude to be dragged and harassed on Social Media for something he didn't even do.

Even if he was doing his job, somehow his photo's got leaked. It's possible he may be the victim but again that would be up to JYPE/WMJ to see if they want to pursue this.

  2. Key word is student, and even professionals make mistakes.

Sam is not a professional. Neither is he a detective who has access to the personnel information of JYP, WMJ, or the Tokyo Dome.

You are right. Even professionals make mistakes. The only thing Sam's accusing the poster of is lying. All Sam has presented was circumstantial evidence that could possibly be. It is up to JYPE/WMJ to review this information and be the jury.

  3.

Looking at RV's US tour stops, the capacity seems to be around 3,000 seats on average. Do you think TWICE will follow the same path? Or will they go for bigger capacity venues? Isn't RV more popular in US since they have lots of Billboard placings? Or TWICE is still bigger? Will the TWICELAND screenX attendance rate affect the venues JYPE will choose for TWICE?

That would depend on the bookings from management. I remember when the Wonder Girls were touring the venues that they played weren't that large, 3,000 seats if that. Sometimes they were playing at theaters. If they were performing with the Jonas Brothers then they might be playing at the larger event centers (6,000 seats) but otherwise it was smaller.

  4.

with Kouhaku line up coming this week here is a recent article

NHK kohaku affliction with BTS, aftermath... what will happen to TWICEs participation?

7 member Korean boy group BTS was in an uproar after wearing a T-shirt with an atomic bomb dropping printed on it. Korean girl group TWICE who played a big role at last years NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen, the bureau is forced to make a difficult decision.

(Second paragraph is about that time kohaku did not let hallyu groups perform)

After 5 years of no hallyu participations, last year, TWICE, which recieved overwhelming support mainly from teenage girls, participated for the first time in 6 years. The nine member girl group, who is leading the third hallyu wave, recorded the 5th highest rating of 37.4% (Kanto district, video researched) for the first half. Their participation was surely confirmed this year. (Fourth paragraph, South Korea - Japan issue, + Tshirt uproar that occurred) TWICE made their Japan debut, June last year, and the "TT" pose was a big hit. This year two singles and an album took first place on the Oricon chart. They also appeared in 3 CMs including mobile phones (Y!Mobile?) It spread widely. They also appeared in NHK's music program "Shibuya note" back in September, and has contributed to the program. Kohaku participants will be announced this week. A music official said "both popularity and track records are sufficient, and the number (audience rating) can be expected. Regardless of the issue of BTS, its simply beacuse of the Korean wave. It would be a shame if they were dropped."

the feeling i'm getting from this is that they're still confirmed due to the fact that they bring in the ratings as stated in the article and they shouldnt be affected and be dropped because of their issue

    thoughts?

If they are invited, we're still on the defense due to fan wars. There's always some vocal minority that have to "spread the gospel" and stuff which tends to rub other fandoms the wrong way.

On the other hand, if they aren't invited then all acts lose on the whole.

Even though it is a public broadcast and they say that "the show must reflect the public," the songs charting super high seem to contradict that. We shall see.
