realistically no. i don't see petty SM allowing it. unless they all leave and regroup. but it still a good statement to prevent SM's mediaplay from demonizing them with "they are neglecting their EXO activities" or "they are betraying EXO" or "they are in bad terms with other EXO members". this way they made it clear that their issue is solely the contract with SM only and are fully willing to remain as EXO if allowed.
