Lmao you spoke too soon At first when I read the title I thought Kai had a new photoshoot and I was already going "Yaaas" but as soon as I opened it was clear it wasn't real lol. Damn, way to crush my hopes... Yes I dreamed of him once...not gonna talk about that one though I wonder about his injury as well...One of my teachers from highschool used to be a ballet dancer, but after a really bad injury to her tendon she had to say goodbye to her career...I still remember her face when she told us the story I guess that's why she was always lowkey pissed off during class, she couldn't care less about that job lol. Exo still has my full support ofc, it's just that if I'm not feeling the song I can't really bring myself to watch music shows...unless the performance/choreo is absolutely amazing but that's not the case either, plus my fave performer/dancer of the group is not there so it makes a big difference. I did the same for Wolf, I despise that song so much that I think I've only watched one live performance of that whole era, even though Kai was there lol. Overdose converted many international fans it seems...It was the first Exo song I heard and it's still my number 1 fave concept/title track/choreo/everything they've ever done, though Monster is veeery close. This year wasn't too bad tbh, he had a webdrama, few photoshoots, a variety show appearance with Sehun, a radio show and he was supposed to guest on another chinese variety show but I have no idea if that was canceled since he got injured (plus those restrictions on k-idols activities in China)...2016 had a promising start but I think a lot of people forgot about it because of Kaistal... Kai has said in various interviews that he wants to try different things but we don't really know what happens behind the scenes...maybe he got offers but he is still waiting for the right one, since he's such a perfectionist I don't see him accepting just "anything". Or maybe SM wants him to keep a low profile for a while so that people will stop linking everything he does to Krystal, plus he needs to recover properly or this could affect his dancing in the future... In the end I think Kai loves performing with Exo the most, dancing is clearly his biggest interest so even if he doesn't get as many individual activities as others we don't know for sure that he feels bad about it, maybe he could work with trainees in the future, helping them with the choreos and stuff like that...He could be a judge on a future dance show lol Idk. Ok so I've watched the live performance and it definitely sounds less messy, but the song is still not my cup of tea... The choreo is ok, nothing spectacular plus the absence of Kai is just so obvious It reinforced what I've always thought but I could never be sure 100% since Kai has always been the center...Not making comparisons with other members since this is not the place (I'm gonna keep that opinion to myself) but if people are still wondering why SM chose him as the center after this then I don't know. His charisma/stage presence is just unmatched and it's clear when you see live stages without him...The closest one would be Baek but he's not main dancer material so he can't do more than that. I'm so so sad he's not a part of this even though I said I was almost happy he won't be promoting this mess, well forget that lol and I'm lowkey worried this is gonna hurt his popularity even more tbh.
