The story is based on Miyashita Natsu’s novel which is the winner of the Booksellers Award in 2016. “Forest of Sheep and Steel†is a coming-of-age story about high school student Tomura Naoki who becomes intrigued by the piano after his encounter with piano tuner Itadori Soichiro. After graduating from high school, Tomura, who didn’t have any ambition in life prior to this meeting, trains to be a piano tuner. The movie will be directed by Hashimoto Koijiro, who worked with Kento before in “Orangeâ€, and Itadori Soichiro will be played by veteran actor Miura Tomokazu. Kento and Taishi are under the same agency and they both starred in the drama Water Polo Yankees in 2014 so they were already quite close (I love their bromance btw), while this was the first time he worked with Suzu...maybe if they work together again in the future they will be more comfortable, who knows lol. So far he had the best chemistry with Tao Tsuchiya and Mirei Kiritani imo...Now I'm curious to see him with Alice Hirose, they are the same age as well... About Kimi no nawa...considering the huge popularity, the fans would probably eat Kento alive lol there was already so much outrage for Jojo's bizarre adventure The storyline is cool though, so if they ever do a live-action and Kento gets chosen I'm definitely fine with it. I don't see how sharing an honest, objective opinion makes anyone a bad fan...Quite the opposite imo. Kai might be my bias but that doesn't mean that I can't be objective or speak my own mind because I need to like every single thing that he does, that would be well...delusional. I feel pretty much the same tbh, I have to admit my first reaction to this news was not really positive...For some reason I was convinced he was gonna play only a minor/supporting role, since he's just starting out in this field (and I still hope this whole thing is a misunderstanding and he's not the actual lead, if I can be 100% honest). I don't think he's ready and I'm not here to see the public eat him alive...Last year was shitty enough, God. That being said, after reading some comments it seems like this drama won't be that big of a deal plus it's a teen drama so it shouldn't be too challenging for him, it's not really a difficult part so...hopefully he can pull it off? I'll try to be optimistic even if I'm a pessimist by nature and hope that he will do well. He'll have my support regardless of how it goes...
