I agree 100% with both of you, Kai is absolutely gorgeous but not in a boring type of way...His features are so strong and unique that you never get tired of looking at him...I also don't like people who look "plastic" or like dolls, it's a huge turn off for me. I don't know if Kai had some work done but even if he did it's definitely some minor stuff because he looks very natural and manly... After reading some comments about that bts video of Kai I was ready for some serious cringing but it wasn't that bad lol Sometimes I feel like people forget that Kai is naturally shy so he's never gonna be super comfortable with people he doesn't know, especially at the very beginning...So it doesn't have anything to do with lack of chemistry imo it's just the way he is at first with people even more so with young pretty girls I imagine lol That's why people think he's cold at first, he needs time to warm up to new people. So the drama has a female lead, I had no idea...I don't think it's gonna be a love story though (unfortunately) or they would have said it like they did for Exo next door. He played darker roles at the beginning of his career, then after the movie L-DK his popularity increased a lot and he started getting all these rom-coms...Which I get since he is young and good looking, so his agency is probably gonna milk this "teen-heartthrob" image as long as they can... but I feel like it's a stepping stone for every young/cute actor anyway, after they get more relevancy in the industry they start doing different things...Same thing happend to Haruma Miura, but now he's doing mostly dramatic roles. Exactly...Were they worried that the photoshoot would be "too hot" to handle? lol I remember how they used to push Kai's "sexy image" a lot more in the past, I mean he was shirtless in at least 90% of his photoshoots during debut lol But they toned that down in the past few years...I wonder if it was his decision or SM's. About the dancing thing, I always roll my eyes at this type of comments because it's clear they have no idea what they're talking about...If they think Kai exaggerates they haven't seen some contemporary dancers and how "theatrical" they can get with their facial expressions sometimes

I have some backtracking to do... I think saying Kai has no chemistry with women is an exaggeration, especially considering he had only photoshoots with 2 females so far lol He had great chemistry with Hyoyeon and Lee Guk Joo though... Also he's an introvert so people shouldn't expect him to act super close with people he's not comfortable with...Personally I think him and Krystal have a very interesting type of chemistry, like there's some tension between them idk. Same thing with Yoona, I don't think they lacked chemistry but they were just very shy around each other but they were cute The problem was the photoshoot itself imo, it was just boring Absolutely! Overdose was Kai's era imo...It was literally made for him. The way he transformed himself to perfectly embody the "craziness" of the concept, especially for the Deep breath solo was amazing...He legit looked possessed in some performances lol That's what really sets Kai apart from your average idol dancer imo because he literally becomes a different character for every new concept, like you said. That's probably why he became my bias from the moment I saw him which was in the Overdose MV It's a shame a lot of people didn't get it and thought he was going overboard with it Wasn't that the Deep breath choreography?
