Apparently it's good for normal dramas but only "decent" for a getsu 9 drama...Koinaka's ratings last year were between 9/11% and I remember reading articles saying it had low ratings...I guess people have really high expectations for dramas that air in this time slot or people are just hating Idk Yeah that's definitely not the reason...I don't think it's doing "bad" but not amazingly well either. It seems popular with young people, the actors names are always trending on twitter after it airs but maybe older demographics can't really relate...? lol I don't know And yes it's not his responsability, yet there were few articles from a while ago that I tried to decipher (badly) with google translate and they were basically blaming it on Kento, maybe because he's the new "trend" so he's under scrutiny right now. The plot seems to be moving a bit after the 6th episode the super predictable secret has been revealed, but for the next one we'll have to wait until the end of august because of the Olympics so hopefully the ratings will rise a bit, as long as it's double digits it should be good enough...

Yes, unfortunately I love that song, Taeyang was actually my first bias ever when I discovered Kpop. His style is more "Yg swag" lol compared to Kai but who knows... I'm dying to see Kai dancing with a girl though, but I know that will never happen Hip-hop seems to be the trend right now in Korea, but I think the fact that Kai's style is different might be an advantage...He can bring something new and unique...His dancing is praised exactly because it's emotional and charismatic, not because he does flips and whatnot. Plus I think he could manage a more urban choreo/concept as well (again, as long as it has nothing to do with rapping lol) because he's really versatile. Like you posted above, he was perfectly capable of keeping up with Lay and Hyoyeon on Dancing 9 I actually think he stole the show but that's my personal opinion, he owned that performance. I posted that teaser video mostly for the overall mood/style, obviously the choreo for a proper solo debut needs to go way harder than that And yes, the comparison with Taemin is inevitable...yikes Especially if he doesn't sell as well as him...I don't even want to think about it, it's already stressing me out lol. About Tao Tsuchiya, it wasn't really confirmed...After paparazzi caught them at a restaurant, their agencies said something like "they got close after working together". Like, close friends or what...? lol I hope they are dating for real, they are so cute together I've watched every single interview of them for Orange (without understanding a single thing) because their chemistry is adorable...Their visuals match really well too.

Sota Fukushi was one of the first japanese actors I discovered, I've watched most of his stuff but I prefer Kento, both visually (I still find Sota very attractive though) and acting wise...They were even in a drama together, but Sota was the main lead...how things have changed lol. And I've heard a lot of people saying that Kento looks a bit like Song Joong Ki... I've noticed he's been working out, he was so skinny last year! I read somewhere they made him lose weight for Orange (I have no idea why, maybe to make him look even more "depressed"? lol) but he looks much healthier now...also that tan I really can't wait for the next episode of the drama, thank god the subs come out really fast (after 2 days) which is a record for jdramas lol I'm the opposite, I still can't believe I've watched a drama with more than 100 episodes (Mare) just for him lmao So what did you watch with Kento? btw for Wolf Girl and Black prince with subs we need to wait until October, that's when the DVD comes out... I discovered Kento thanks to L-DK and even though I started following him for very superficial reasons (he's so dreamy ) I like his acting...I find him pretty natural, and he doesn't go overboard with the overreactions like other actors do, which I find annoying af. He can improve ofc but I think he has a lot of potential...he just needs the right roles. Unfortunately rom-coms are not exactly the most challenging, but it's obvious why he gets casted in those...He's young, he literally looks like he came out of a manga, plus his popularity is no joke right now. I'm still surprised at how fast he blew up, he totally "stole" Sota Fukushi's crown lol. He's even getting CFs left and right get those yens Kento. I can't really complain about his recent roles...I mean I get why, as stated above, and I actually liked most of his live-actions L-DK made me cringe a bit I'll admit it plus he's not even 22, he has plenty of time ahead of him to play different things... I'm really loving his character in the new drama, yes he played the "tsundere" before but he nails it so I don't care lol. I'm anticipating his future projects, they seems interesting...The Disastrous Life of Saiki Kusuo in particular, after reading the plot. I would like to see Kento playing a comedic/funny character someday, considering he seems to be a dork irl, a villain/dark role would be good too. Bless whoever subbed Shabekuri, those guys crack me up...Too bad it's so difficult to find his interviews with subtitles (this post lowkey turned into a small essay too, lol mess)
