I can't help but find the timing of this whole Hwayoung exposal shady as hell. And I don't understand why people are treating the scandal as some sort of fairytale. Hello, it's real life, there's beyond "good side" and "evil side". Everyone could easily be at fault. Why everyone gets so upset when people say it?

It's beyond me how ugly people can actually be. The moment you see someone say BTS is using a sensitive topic such as suicide to benefit themselves, or that they're just trying to glamorize it - in that exact moment you realize people have completely lost the little bit of decorum they had left.

 

I wonder how some people are so utterly unaware of the shit they say on a daily basis - how tasteless, classless, cruel and stupid they act - or actually are. And I'm floored by the fact they think they're in the right.

 

I'm gonna get personal with this.

 

 

 

I have been in that position, it was years and years ago but it's something that's there - it's always going to be there and be a part of my life and be a part of me. I've never felt proud of it - how could I? - and it even got to be something I was embarrassed of. It took me a lot of time to be able to talk about it openly, and even then it was still something I couldn't completely come to accept. I'm over that phase now - more or less -, but it's still a very sensitive topic for me if you regard it in the wrong way.

 

So all these people being ugly about this matter really hit personal ground and strike a nerve. Wonder how much of them give a shit about suicide to begin with.

 

 

 

Some people see suicide allusions in Spring Day and some others don't. I guess it all comes down to everybody's own experiences in life.

 

But I'm gonna need for somebody - anybody - to tell me where in the actual fuck is BTS trying to glamorize suicide. Do y'all even know what that verb means and what it implies? Damn, it's not even the focus of the song/MV, if it's even represented at all in the first place. It talks about grief and acceptance most than anything else.

 

I'm gonna honor my dad and say it like he would: algunos os la cogéis con papel de fumar.

 

That moment when the song is based on RM and Suga's own experiences. But of course, y'all hide behind your own ignorance. Trust people to turn everything around.

 

I can't at y'all complaining about K-Pop being too generic, about all songs being the same and talking about the same - and when someone tries to bring up an acknowledge some real fucking issues (in a respectful and mindful way) that real people face everyday, y'all go full repulsive mode on.

 

That's actually the only issue here: people using suicide as a means to bash a K-Pop group - or anyone else for that matter - they hate on so much for some unfathomable motive no reasonable person will ever be able to understand just because they literally have nothing, nada to use against them, so in their heads it's perfectly fine and justifiable to be as disgusting as possible.

 

Some people step so low, they don't even know where to draw the line - there's not even a line anymore. You just decided to throw respect for anything and anyone away while trying to pretend you're some kind of morally and ethically superior person.

 

I don't know if all this really makes you feel any better afterwards or not, but if it does the you need to start re-evaluating your life because you are clearly not being the superior individual you believe you are. 

 

We went through this already when BTS was supposedly romanticizing depression. It's time to stop.

 

 

 

That thread got closed...Not because of the op, but because this forum is populated with fucking morons who focus on the pedantic instead of the bigger picture. Your first thought when you see a topic that heavy is to go "oh don't worry it's one person" or "you can't take it out of there"??????? That was a thread worth having and now we will literally never be able to discuss it again because the idiots here have associated any topic of BTS x mental illness with the bashing thread.
