People on Twitter talking about how learning abt a different culture is cultural appropriation And people eating it up and saying they'll try to "educate" their "community" oh god Do people even bother checking what they say anymore? boi............. And can the younger generation STOP thinking everyone who's marginally older than them is "colonized" and "ignorant" and that's why they bother teaching their culture to outsiders? They do it because they take pride in how they were raised, in their traditional clothings, in their cuisine, etc. They did 500 years ago, they'll do 500 years in the future. Being happy that people appreciate what's a big part of your life is normal. No harm is being done, let people introduce their world to other worlds, that's actually a good way to make the world more open to new things, no? More open minded people = more progress Also, if they were to act "colonized" them they'd be denying their roots and trying to assimilate something else, not trying to spread their own culture.

A lot of Kpop fans (ppl in general) need to grow a damn backbone Quit sucking up to any translated bullshit your read. Stop trying to emulate knetz. Don't try to pull the enlightened about some issue by saying "but!!! it's!!! their!!! culture!!!". Just don't. Stop, quit, cease to bandwagon ffs and form your own opinions based on whatever the hell your believe in. Are you living in damn South Korea to behave a certain way? Bet not. Then express yourself as you would. Yeah, yeah, I know some people online told you u can't even say a word abt some issue of another country because #culture and you #dontunderstand so you should be sush and bow to whoever claims to be of said culture and says X is right so you can get the SJW cookies for good behavior, but "culture" doesn't excuse shit. And not everyone who grew up under a certain culture will follow it, suck it up Do yourself a favor and don't be so easily manipulated. If you have don't have an opinion, then fine. Nothing wrong, we're here to discuss shit and learn, no one is born all opinated on everything, no need to pretend you are.

There's no difference between rabid fans and rabid haterts. You aren't better than "delusional trashy fans" if your time and energy are spent hating a group because of their fandom, and then hating the fandom. These people who bitch about BTS being brought up everywhere also bring them up everywhere. I had to unfollow 4 people because my TL was flooded with BTS every week and I don't even follow BTS related accounts. Haters are also doing the most. I can't help but find the timing of this whole Hwayoung exposal shady as hell. And I don't understand why people are treating the scandal as some sort of fairytale. Hello, it's real life, there's beyond "good side" and "evil side". Everyone could easily be at fault. Why everyone gets so upset when people say it?

I don't understand stan Twitter and I probably never will. Recently I'm seeing a lot of tweets that are a screencap of some random tweet bashing XYZ group/person, a lame ass meme at the side and some "5º grade level of mean" caption. These get a bunch of retweets. But why? Why do people even waste their time on it? Most of these tweets were made by people w/ a few followers and had no RT or Fave on what they posted. It's just a random tweet, you search your fave and you'll get a bunch of hate tweets, normal. Why screencap, post along with a meme? To get retweets? To attack a fandom/group you dislike but has no balls to say it loud? Why they don't @ at whoever is talking shit?? I don't understand these people, for real.
