    I have a question... I've seen a lot of comments on other forums about how after Acchan graduated, AKB struggled to find a definitive next ace to replace Acchan, and Yuko, Mayuyu, Jurina, and Paruru were all in contention. I'm curious why Yuko wasn't chosen as the de facto next ace? Did management not like her or something? I guess I'm missing something but it feels like it would be intuitive to push the second most popular member once your most popular member is gone. (I'm a new fan who's still learning about AKB after getting on the Produce train, so pls excuse my ignorance and thanks in advance!)

    I'm in SHOCK honestly. I know Miyu isn't appealing to everyone but to drop to 30 while Hyewon and Minju (don't get me wrong, I like them both, but they are clearly lacking in a lot of ways) rise to top 12? Surely not! Does anyone remember if this much change in top 12 happened in previous seasons? I hope the rankings can stabilize soon...

Correct me if I’m wrong but it seems like the 46 groups are really popular these days and I can imagine that management’s attention and resources would naturally shift... isn’t that quite demoralizing?     Hello all! Just became a new fan of AKB after P48 and honestly I'm so bummed because I learned about them too late and all of my favs (Yuko, Acchan, Takamina, Mayuyu) have graduated . Apologies if this has already been discussed ad nauseam, but what do you guys think are the chances of success for AKB grads? Does the group have enough public recognition for them (the more popular members anyway) to easily transition into a post-idol entertainment career?

    As someone who had no idea about AKB48 prior to P48, Jurina quickly got me hooked. Since I don't know much about AKB48, could someone please educate me on whether it would have been realistic for her, assuming she made the final P48 group, to even have the energy / time to promote given her role in AKB? I'm curious why she decided to participate in P48 in the first place since it seems like she's extremely popular and busy in Japan already? That being said I'm heartbroken about her hiatus and wish her a speedy recovery!

    Haven't posted in forever but dropping by to say that video of Momo and Sana freestyling on the street is the best thing ever. I really love SaMo's friendship. They just fit together.

    OMG Erza you're so talented! I haven't been posting due to school but thanks everyone for keeping the thread alive and updating! I feel like Momo's roots are really showing but she's not dyeing her hair because she's gonna have a different color for the comeback. Hopefully it's a darker color!
