  1. I saw Amber's name trending and didn't think it was kpop Amber. This is just really disappointing, considering I had a relatively positive opinion of her. What she said just screams ignorance, considering the officer was threatening to arrest a Black man for eating a fucking sandwich. All I hope is that she genuinely tries to educate herself and learn from this mess.
  2. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! They were so fucking good and the stage is just so fun and light hearted. It really cheered me up, Halsey did great with the boys. I loved the performance!!!
  3. It's 2019 and people still think Bts lip sync their performances. Bts are arguably some of the worst lip syncers out there and it's pretty obvious. I feel like the choreography is pretty lax in comparison to some of their previous title tracks, so it might not take as much effort to sound good. Plus for most performances (especially music shows) they had some backing vocals, which explains why the song keeps going even if a member stops singing to catch their breath or whatever, the vocal line does this a lot. Bts has done this for years, so I don't know why people are trying to act like this is new and try to use it to drive this "BTS DOESN'T PERFORM LIVE" narrative. Anyway I'm not saying Bts has never lip synced a performance, but it's noticable when they do.
  4. I can't believe Bts is at a level where they're competing with Beyonce and Taylor Swift. I mean SchoolBoyQ pushed his album back because of Bts' comeback. Bts is even beating Digimons in the own country right now. This comeback has really shown that Bts is on another level globally. I wouldn't have even imagined even years back of Beyonce dropping an album would be something Armys would talk about and not some random kpop group (no offense to those groups). Anyway I'm really proud of Bts and Armys this comeback.
  5. I feel like I haven't been here in a while lol, but I do have something, that's not super interesting, but I thought it would be appropriate. A few weeks ago my sister and I were shopping in Forever 21 and Waste it on Me started playing and I scared the shit out my sister because I started to freak out lol. I'm all "this is Bts their song is playing", she's probably tired of me talking about them at this point. It was just interesting that one of the more popular stores were playing Bts song. I'm spoiling this cause I'm just rambling and talking about the collab with Halsey
  6. I feel like the releases for this year in Kpop have been extremely lack-luster and just really mediocre and are easy to forget. There are only a handful of songs that I've genuinely liked that and think are good. I feel like there hasn't been a song yet, that actually gets stuck in my head and I could listen to on repeat. I just feel like songs have been too formulaic and there are groups/companies too scared to change it up and it gets boring.
  7. It just hit me that Bts will be at the Grammy's, the freaking Grammy's, one of the biggest award shows in the world!! Stanning them since 2014, I always hoped that people would pay attention to them and give a chance because they're so insanely talented and hard working. Now all that hard work has paid off and they're only going up from here, Bts has NOT reach their peak despite what some may say. I'm so proud of Bts, I feel like this will be like the BBMAs, meaning a lot of people will talk about them and they will bring a lot of buzz. I'm nervous, but mostly excited for them, I feel like Bts will be one of the top acts in the world after this, I can feel it. They're going to rub elbows and become friends so many other celebrities and artists, I'm so excited!!
  8. Blackpink's been around for almost 3 years and they have only 10 original songs. Most of the songs they perform at their concerts aren't even theirs. They don't even regularly update their social media, so I don't understand how people can stan them tbh. I'm not entirely blame the girls for this because the company plays a role, but this is pretty sad. Tbh if BP wasn't from YG and they didn't have a "bad ass" concept they wouldn't be as remotely as popular or hyped up. I loved Whistle and Playing With Fire, but other than that their songs aren't that great and some of the lyrics are straight up corny. I would say if this keeps up their popularity isn't going to last, but YG Stans are used to being strung along and disappointed and overall the bare minimum that the cycle will continue. If fans keep hyping the absolute bare minimum, YG will see no reason to stop, I'm sure if he debuts a new girl group fans will flock to them and he'll drop BP like he did 2NE1.
  9. Bts were such babies when they debuted lol, who'd thought they would become this big. I was listening to We On (which is a bop) looking at the lyrics then and seeing Bts' lyrics now we can see how much they've changed and it's so amazing. Not to say their older music is bad, but their lyrics really do reflect their mindset at the time and I'm glad their not afraid to talk about certain subjects anymore and have opened to fans.
  10. I don't know why, but I feel very nervous, but I'm also excited. I think I'm nervous about the age range and concept more than anything. Bts debuted around ages 15-20, so I can kind of expect the same for this group. But at the time I didn't think it was crazy for 15 year old to debut, but for some reason I do now, like they need to be protected from creeps and shit. I look forward to see what they have in store, he kind of looked like Minho and Taehyung to me. I can't say I'll stan because I have yet to hear their music, but as I said I'll see what's up.
  11. I'm curious to see what Bts will discuss after the youth series is over. I think as most people have said this upcoming era will be the end of the youth series, so I want to know what happens next. I also feel that this year there will definitely will be more individual activities. The one thing I want besides new music of course, I want Jin to star in a Kdrama or something that would be really cool to see.
  12. Big Hit has always uploaded music videos on their main channel (besides maybe like side projects) and they'll probably do for their next group too. Even if most of the subscribers are Bts fans they still have uploaded Homme videos there, but they don't get a lot of views. My point is that even if they upload the new boy group there, there is no telling who will check it out Army or not. I understand if you don't care for the new group that's fine, I think most people are okay with that. Most people here just stan Bts, but I don't see an issue of Armys talking about Big Hit's upcoming group and how they might affect Bts for now. I agree that once more info is released like names, concepts, etc it should be discussed in their own thread, but for now I think it's fine.
  13. I really don't think anyone was being dramatic about that, but I was saying that Big Hit isn't forcing anyone to support their new group. My point was if don't care to check them out then don't, if you're unsure then you might want to give them a chance, if you want to stan go ahead, I don't care what choice people choose tbh. Also this is relatively new information, so I think it's natural that a good amount of Armys will talk about, since this will affect Bts in some way. I'm sure once the group debuts or at least more info is released on this group people will talk about them in their own thread.
