Well survival shows usually don't dedicate time to showing everyone who auditions and they prioritize companies/participants who have a bit of attention to them to get more views or to make drama/some sort of interesting segment to get more views. It is likely they couldnt make some sort of drama out of the girls' audition but idk I dont really like how mix nine is going anyway. It was lucky that the girls got shown back in p101 days, but that was more because they seemed to have wanted to show the variety of types of contestants they had (with our girls being the super super cute end of the spectrum and bulldok at the other end).

There's always many pros and cons to every situation. I agree with the idea that they really should be practicing and preparing, as any group should be doing predebut but don't feel like they haven't been doing that/wont be doing that just because they're on the show. However, unfortunately they need something, some sort of chance to gain more fans. Groups don't do that well if they don't have some sort of level of public attention. You need some sort of public attention in order to get your songs known, to get more fans, sell more, get to the point of being able to have concerts. Some companies have the background where their groups get at least a basic level of initial attention, and people give them a chance when they debut. SE obviously doesn't have that, otherwise their groups would have been doing better. SE is not all that great at promoting their artists tbh so the idea of them even sending them out there to be on any sort of show kind of seems like they actually care about promoting the group (and not just waiting for a member to potentially get popular on their own and then just sort of promote them) and finding a platform where they can at least gain the attention of some more people. This is especially important for the newly revealed trainees, as Sihyeon and Yunji already have people waiting for them to debut, but also it gives those two the chance to hopefully get the exposure they didn't get before. I just don't want them to debut and end up going on a different survival later anyway, with the same circumstances of the many different idols who debuted and worked for years and gained no popularity. I don't want them to get stuck in a point of releasing music but having it go nowhere because no one other than their own fans. I'm not saying that mix nine will definitely help them avoid this, but at least its something that could help them get to a better state. IMO the worst case is that one (or more) of them makes it and maybe the debut is delayed because of it. Theres plenty of groups that still develop their fanbases while one or more members are in a project group so that wouldn't be too bad, if it even could happen which I still doubt because it seems unlikely for the girl group to win in the end. The best case is any case in which they get screentime and get their talents out there to the public. They're already pretty high in the rankings (as far as we know for the ones who made it through) already, which means they had to have done fairly well and theres been a bit of screentime so far. Its really odd to think, that last year SE seemed like they kinda knew what they were doing and had a set path for the group. The atmosphere post-p101 was great for building up a fanbase and SE actually did well with the vlives and interactions with fans. But they blew it somehow. It kinda feels like they're trying to reboot and get back to that point with this new lineup.

I'm just trying to at least look at the bright side, but this could be publicity for them and we know how horrible SE is at promoting their artists, which is the problem in the first place. I wouldn't want them to debut just for them to not necessarily have a good chance at getting attention. Plus, it gives them something to do for now. Right now is not the ideal time for them to debut with the hard competition of the upcoming comebacks. I mean, it also could end up being useless who knows. It will at the very least give some publicity and help them gain more fans.

exactly what i was thinking since ive always viewed her to be on par with lee soomin but she didnt make it? there are a lot of talented girls he left out but others he let in YG is super lame especially when it comes to female idols so I'm not that surprised. I still don't even think the girl group has a chance of winning at the end, I'm just hoping Sihyeon and Yunji get a good amount of screentime this time around (there's already screenshots of Yunji which gives me an ounce of hope)

theres so many people who were on audition shows before who made it through though also why would he even let them audition if he knew he was going to reject them anyway

She has referred to herself as an independent trainee recently which means she's not at a company yet, unless she was kidding, but I dont think she is.

She does have her own thread, but no one posts there anymore (even when I try to start posting there no one notices lmao) and it hasnt been updated in a while I think people are too accustomed to using this thread for news on Hyeri at this point. There should probably be a move to that thread now though, for Hyeri information.

RGP is from the show Idolmaster.kr, which is a drama based off of the game idolmaster. The girl group is supposed to just be a real group after the drama ends (im...not sure if it has ended already or not but there have been some singles by a unit out, including ping pong which i recommend not to promote another groups song on this thread) Can people take some preemptive measures this time? Like somehow trying to contact MBK and ask them to upload it on time?

I wonder how YG reached out to Hyeri as an independent trainee? I hope they show that in the show since they seem to have clips of the participants when YG approaches them.
