When talking about why f(x) haven't had a solo concert, it isn't about fairness. That's the perspective from a fan. You should look at it from the perspective of SM as a company, they are in it for the money. And as a company they'll always look at past accomplishments so comparisons with SNSD will always be made, as they are the only other girl group that SM has. What SNSD achieved (sold)... when they achieved it (time)... and how big was their support (fans/sone, general public/Gallup/Leespr/Forbes) are all sort of guidelines for SM. And you also have to take SM own ambitions into account for their groups. SNSD and their other groups have set a certain standard for SM. I believe f(x) already had the ability to hold a solo concert for 3k-6k in the 2nd half of 2011 in Korea. But could they have done it for 2 days the same as SNSD first solo concerts and after that another 2 encore concerts? I'm not so sure about that. SM just has higher ambitions with their groups. SM doesn't want to hold a solo concert in Korea now and then, performing for 3k-6k. When SM invests in concerts for their groups they'll be thinking about Japan Tours, Asia Tours and finally World Tours with venues of 10k. And if the December Concert Week is true than I believe that SM finally thinks f(x) in time will be capable of all that... Japan Tours, Asia Tours and World Tours. But we also see that SM still thinks that there is some risks involved so they put up a safety net with EXO. And one thing I can say with absolute certainty is that EXO will definantly have no problems holding concerts, the ones that SM has in mind.

2 years is not that long of a time for the physical market. SNSD from the beginning had just always been able to compete with boy group sales, even outselling the #1 girl group WG at the time. I think one of the advantages that SNSD had, was that ksone were always clearly visible towards SM and they were also heard by SM. But I can't say the same for f(x) fans. f(x) is 4 years now and only at the last SMTown was there an effort put into a big periwinkle ocean by the fans, and this was in China. What about all those other joint concerts, SMTowns, etc. in 2010/2011/2012. These are all considerations to take into account by SM when considering f(x).

Hmm... I do think f(x) have the ability to hold a 6k concert, but I would have felt a lot more sure of myself if f(x) had already broken the 100k sales. But you also have to think about SM position in this. Even before SNSD first concert SM was considering the risks. And this is for a girl group that sold 100k every time since their first release. Ksone also wanted a concert for SNSD and SM responce towards Ksone was basically, "Ah, so you sone want a concert? Lets see what you can do first, gather as much and as many times as you can at SMTowns, Dream Concerts and other joint concerts. Show us how many of you there are... show us that SNSD is capable of holding a concert." That is why there were so many events for SNSD during those joint concerts. Ksone wanted to show SM their power.

That's pink ocean. Sone prepared following banners "Girl's Generation" and "We want Sosi concert in China Mainland". You can see them here and how sone are gathered around those banners.

lol... no worries. I know exactly where those pink lightsabers are at in the stadium. It's hard to ignore the lenght of lightsticks.

You can't use SNSD Japan concert for color because the Japanese concerts all had their own lightsticks with their own distinctive pink color. The pink ocean is imo SNSD. In the pics from a distance you can see the length of the lightsticks which are longer than the others, the pink lightsaber trademark from sone. You can see it clearly in the following pics.

I don't know. But with the old system, the most anticipated song of this year PSY - Gentleman had "only" 429,255 Gaon downloads in its first week.
-
You can't compare IGAB Gaon downloads with RPPP. Gaon changed their counting system in april, that is why all the songs have a huge increase in downloads after april. Gaon changes their system constantly so you can't compare RPPP Gaon downloads with E-Shock either. But you can say that RPPP Gaon downloads 1,670,748 beat 2NE1 first week downloads Falling In Love 1,244,916. Both used the same counting system.
