I'm going to make a bold prediction and say OT21 Yearbook is coming out March 1st, 2019. SM, don't let me down. I hope SM can introduce the 6 masked trainees as SMRookies midway through the year too (like May-August).

My Ep 3 remarks: 1. Feng Junjie is pretty well-rounded. I'll keep an eye on him. 2. Jolin is such a big fan of JiaYi. She is so willing to give him an A 3. Guanyue's story touched my heart. I hope he can debut so his parents wouldn't have to work anymore. Guanyue did pretty good during reevaluation so I think he deserves a spot in Top 9. 4. Yaochi's conversation with his mom is so funny. And so is Yechen's convo with his mom. The part that cracks me up the most is when Wang Jiayi's mom randomly starts singing and he had the most confused look on his face. 5. I'm mad that they barely showed Zhenning. Editor, what is wrong with you? I hope they show him more next episode when they perform the songs. I'm really anticipating his stage after that fancam. 6. Wenhan and Jiayi are already shipping each other 7. The look on Wang Xinyu's face when Lay announced that he'll be going up against Wenhan's team instead of picking his own song is priceless. Lay's cheeky demon smile after the announcement just added to the drama. 8. I find Chunyang super adorable and likable but I don't think he has the talent to be in Top 9. It's such a dilemma for me because I really love his personality but I also want Top 9 to be well-rounded. I hope he can improve throughout the show and prove me wrong. 9. This has been bugging me for a while but I finally figured out who Wenhan reminds me of - it's Seventeen's Jeonghan. They really look alike at some angles. Both are handsome; I'm not trying to draw any comparisons. I also hate to compare but same...this version is less enthusiastic and eye-catching. Plus ChengCheng's part was killer and hard to replicate. Not to mention, Huba's magic trick at the beginning. If they're going to pick a S1 song, they might as well pick Mack Daddy Lol, I'm kidding. (that song is cringey but addictive) EDIT: I'm also here to promote my boy Jiayi. I love his fancam. ⤠Hated his blonde hair but this boy can dance and his stage presence is amazing. https://youtu.be/ur-WJkNSWIo

I haven't watched Ep 3 yet so these are my picks as of Ep 2: The ones I definitely want in Top 9 Jiayi Wenhan The ones I kinda like and don't mind if they end up in Top 9: Chunyang (I'm really surprised he's ranked so high but I totally get it because he's such a cute puppy. He makes me uwu) Yaochi (really funny, moodmaker, and seems like an overall very caring guy) MingMing (he deserves a chance to debut in a proper group after so many years of training) This might change in the future.

Well, it's a good thing we found out early so he's kicked off the show before any of us biased him.China is savage when it comes to racism against China/Chinese people (just look at the Dolce & Gabbana incident). This Jiang Shengming/Kang Sungmin/whatever his name is probably can't step foot in China anymore after this exposé.

My Mandarin is not good so I will wait for the eng subs for Ep 3 but this is so soul-crushing for the lower-ranked trainees. Season 2 is creating such a caste system, first with the pre-voting to determine their ranks (when we don't even know the majority of the boys), then having the lower 40 ranks sit in the ice cold box outside while the upper 60 gets to sit inside and now some of them can't even perform live?!

I also think he should've been B. But I do agree with what Minghao and Yixing said. The new Gramarie trainees didn't get much screentime here but they didn't appear to perform that badly from the bits and pieces iqiyi decided to air. But then again, the judges are harsher this season. I think they are newbies/relatively unknown because last season Gramarie got a good amount of screentime for the evaluation. I guess that is to be expected since Xiaogui was on the Rap of China and Huba had been on a bunch of different shows before Idol Producer. Those with pre-show hype have their own little story segment and the full performance was aired (Justin & Zhengting for being on P101 S2, Cai Xukun being in SWIN, Casper being in Cross Gene, MingMing being on Mixnine+predebut SVT team, Wenhan being in UNIQ and an actor).

Okay, I finally finished watching Ep 2 (my God, it's 2 hours long). 1. I feel like MingMing chose the wrong song. It didn't showcase what he is capable of doing. I also have to agree with Minghao and Yixing when they said his dancing was a bit dull and some of his movements were too small. If he let loose a little, he can really bring it in the dance department.I feel like his previous "failures" have made him appeared very burdened and that can be seen in his dancing. He looked like he was at the verge of an emotional breakdown after the evaluation. I hope he can debut this time because he's actually one of the better trainees this season and he has been through so much (almost making it into SVT and almost debuting through MixNine). 2. I didn't know much about UNIQ before this show other than EOEO but Wenhan left a good impression on me. From his conversation with Yixing, you can tell he really loves performing on stage. His singing voice is really sweet and he is well-rounded. I think he makes a good center but he lacks the aura that Cai Xukun has (Huba was my first pick last season but I will still pick Xukun as center because he just has that It-factor and the way he stares and smiles at the camera is just mesmerizing). If there is one thing I want Wenhan to work on it is to be more interactive on camera. He lacks eye contact. If he can get that right, he'll be an incredible center. 3. Chunyang is like a little lost puppy. For some reason he reminds me of ex-U-KISS member Dongho. 4. Minghao moved up my SVT bias list after this show. He's a great mentor and he really took the time to teach the trainees until 5 in the morning. I hope SVT gets more popular in China because of Minghao after this show. 5. Yaochi and Longhan are quite funny. They bring the comedy to this show. 5. JiaYi is still my first pick for now. His smile just makes me smile. I can see why you guys said he's getting that Kang Daniel edit, he's definitely shown a lot throughout this episode. It's not a bad thing if he has the talent to justify his screen time. He's pretty good in Ep 1 in my opinion; if he's good in the theme song evaluation, I will definitely stan. Plus I've been looking up a lot of Mr. Tyger music and Mvs this past week and I do like them as a group a lot. They're my Gramarie of this season, haha. 6. Speaking of Gramarie, we've only seen a snippet of them. Hard to judge for now.

WayV is a fixed unit and will promote in China. As for the members themselves, I have a good feeling they can and will still promote as NCT members in Korea and internationally. My reasons: 1. The new NCT 2019 website still show Ten, Kun, WinWin, and Lucas. 2. YangYang accidentally did NCT's greeting ("To the world") before switching to WayV's greeting midway. The other WayV members were all laughing at him afterwards.
