The Visual Queen YOONA Official Thread (윤아, 林允儿) ♡♥♡
Konjo replied to Aniih's topic in Individual Artists
I think Yoona might stay in China for a few days after the iQiYi event for Happy Camp filming. It's better than flying back and forth. So maybe? I agree with @burningsoul & @yoongphrodite! I also hope Yoona doesn't sing the Innisfree song but MC's instead. 3 days until the concert!! Wishing for A YOONA SOLO PLEASE As more of the cast of Moon Lovers get announced, the more I doubt Yoona will be the female lead Looking at the upcoming korean dramas list: http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Upcoming_KDrama The only ideal dramas for Yoona would be this one, Moon Lovers and Tyrant. If not, then we won't see her in the small screen until the second half of 2016 - which will extend her absence on the small screen to over 2 years. Tyrant synopsis if anyone's interested: http://dramaloveaddicts.proboards.com/thread/249/new-mbc-epic-drama-tyrant Apparently, Joowon might be the male lead in Tyrant. But the drama is too focused on the male lead which is why I would prefer Moon Lovers for Yoong. Yoona's schedule: December - Kicking off Chinese drama promotions - Happy Camp - SNSD Japan Arena Tour January - Chinese drama promotions February - Chinese drama promotions March - April - Cooperation movie filming I'm assuming Yoona's drama will air when drama promotions kick off, so if her expected Happy Camp appearance is anything to go by then Yoona will go to China back and forth for some drama promotions between December - March(?). Filming is done, so she'll be in a few shows, interviews, magazine features most likely. Do you all think Yoona could fit in Moon Lovers into her schedule? Filming will begin mid-February 2016 and will air sometime in the second half of 2016. Moon Lovers will be entirely pre-recorded, meaning the drama filming will be done before it even airs. Plus, filming for movies is a very short period so I'm sure Yoona will wrap up her filming within a few weeks maximum - especially since she's not the main role (Hyunbin or the other male lead forgot his name :/) P.S - I'm sorry for the long posts! I write too much Edit - I found the gif but smaller, so its onehallyu signature friendly to use!- 22,245 replies

The Visual Queen YOONA Official Thread (윤아, 林允儿) ♡♥♡

Calm yourself. Hyunbin fans aren't the only ones saying that. Yoona fans, Korean and international fans alike have said the same thing, from what they've read on ARTICLES. Lowering herself? you have got to be joking. Do you not read Yoona's interviews? In her interview with InStyle last December: "Even if it is roles that have little screentime, if I am able to learn many things from outstanding sunbaes, I have a wish to play a role too." The movie plot focuses on the two male leads. Even if she were a female lead, her role will be SECONDARY to the story REGARDLESS. I agree female leads don't necessarily need to have obvious female lead roles (girlfriends/wives). This is my take on the whole issue: I think Yoona is the lead female character but it's not the main two characters (both of which are men). Therefore, I suppose in that way it's a supporting role. I'm thinking Hyunbin's character somehow gets involved with Yoona's character (romantically?) by which there's an issue as her brother in law is a South Korean police officer. I'm guessing Yoona's role is far superior than other female supporting actresses in the upcoming movie: Actress Jung Eunchae & After School's Jooyeon.- 22,245 replies

To be honest, all I know about Yoona's role is that it isn't a historical character but a made up character, therefore I can't say much about her two roles in her C-drama. I'm sorry! >.< Oh my word! That video is so freaking adorable, the person who made that has amazing editing skills They definitely look adorable together DRAMA PLEASE!!!! I feel so selfish and greedy for asking that Lots of Chinese activities, yes! Well filming was meant to be sometime this year but 2015 is near to its end... Definitely next year. If not then, maybe it's been cancelled? I'm not sure. Yeah, that would be hella of a coincidence hopefully she's offered it, takes it and strikes gold with the drama like LGX did with the original.- 22,245 replies

The Visual Queen YOONA Official Thread (윤아, 林允儿) ♡♥♡

Thank you! Yes, Lee Junki has mentioned Yoona twice in the past! Once in an interview ( ) and a mini clip when he was in the army saying he really likes Yoona and also asking SNSD to perform for them ( ). I really would like Yoona to play the role of a villain too but SM always has the last say, no? I'm not sure they will let her. But it would be great for her as an actress, being able to portray different types of characters. Honestly, Yoona still has an innocence to her (because of her baby face) but she has definitely matured in the past two years - you can really see it in her magazine spreads. Rarely does Yoona put on dark smoky makeup, but she has been in her magazine photos recently. A new side to Yoona! Check it out when you can, it's a long drama though, so beware (worth the watch, imo) Yeah, maybe after the tour hopefully! I feel the same way as you. I want her to venture off into the Chinese market but at the same time, I don't want her to make it her number one market. A Korean-Chinese balance would be ideal. She hasn't done a Korean project in a long time now (1 year 9 months since PMAI) Agreed, SM is too controlling. Her Chinese drama character has some action scenes, which I'm pleased about. Cutie Yoo Seungho! I totally forgot about him, Yoona and him would make a cute noona-dongsaeng drama couple ^.^ I agree with you, I mean look at how much she improved alongside Lee Bumsoo! Yes, LGX was the 14th Prince! The main couple got married earlier this year, I was ecstatic! ^o^ I think Yoona is breaking out of her shell, I don't think she pays much attention to netizen comments as she used to. I mean her opening an instagram has given me that impression. I would love Yoona to have a Korean movie as well, second after a Korean drama. The PD of this remake is highly praised as much as I know - he did It's Okay It's Love and That Winter, The Wind Blows. For me the worry is over the script writer - the writing has to be solid as the Chinese one. An original plot is always preferred, of course ^.^ I feel you on the real voice comment. It'll be so awkward watching her Chinese drama - her face but different voice. I'm too used to Yoona's voice. That's definitely the downside of the remake. Endless comparisons. In all honesty, I don't think ratings and drama quality correlate. It's all about luck, really. Heirs the drama was super popular but the quality for me, lacked. It was such a cheese fest, I absolutely hated it. The plot was shallow, hardly any character buildup, the characters were weak, chemistry was down the drain (sorry Lee Minho-Park Shinhye shippers), I can go on and on. I hope luck is on Yoona's side when it's her next Korean project, be it a movie or drama. Yes, Yoona plays two characters which I'm hyped about! ^.^- 22,245 replies

First of all, thank you all for the warm welcomes!! I'll definitely be active here. By the way, does anyone know if Yoona's Chinese movie with Eddie Peng is still going to happen? News on the project has been ridiculously quiet. To start some discussion here, a few questions for my fellow wonderful YoonAddicts! What next acting project would you like for Yoona, after her Chinese drama? Movie or drama? Korean or Chinese production? What drama or movie genre would you like her to be in next? Historical, medical, romcom, thriller, horror, action etc... Which male leads would you like Yoona to work with? Are there any upcoming dramas/movies open for casting that you want Yoona to be in? My answers I would love for Yoona to be in a Korean drama next! I miss her on the small screen. I know her Chinese drama is historical but I actually want her in a Korean historical drama (sageuk) next - hanbok and all she would look majestic, am I right?! If not, then an action/thriller drama, Yoona as a kick-ass heroine would be amazing and something new for her in my opinion. As for male leads, I want her to work with actors around her age or at least less than 10 years older than her. No huge age gaps. Yoona got lucky with LGX (finally, she has a HOT male lead close to her age - not a huge fan of JGS so I kind of excluded him, haha). Do any of you dream of Yoona working with some particular actors? 'Cos I do haha, I'm such a fangirl! I want her to work with Ji Changwook, Lee Junki, Song Joongki, Im Joohwan, Joowon and Park Kiwoong. As for upcoming casting news, some of you may not favour this (and of course, you're welcome to your own opinion ) I want Yoona to star in the upcoming Korean remake of the famous Chinese romance historical drama Scarlet Heart (Bu Bu Jing Xin). The female lead character is very spirited and independent, which I feel will suit Yoona perfectly. I can imagine her playing the role to the T. Ticks all the boxes for me: Romance. Historical. Korean Drama. Strong female lead character. PLUS, Lee Junki has been offered the male lead (yet to confirm though). So if he signs on, then it would be a dream come true for me! The Korean remake will likely be huge as it has a huge budget - Hollywood's Universal Studios will be investing 15 billion won (15 million won) into the drama AND the drama will be simultaneously airing in Korea and China AT THE SAME TIME. Which is why I hope they get Yoona, to appeal to the Chinese market as she's popular there. Also, it's a perfect tie-in to her continuous Chinese activities - promote her Chinese drama, then potentially this one too. I REALLY hope she's picked for this role, praying for this actually. Here's some more detailed information on the drama; On the Plot: http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Bu_Bu_Jing_Xin On the Character: http://koalasplayground.com/2011/09/16/guide-to-the-princes-of-bu-bu-jing-xin/ Of course, the Korean version is subject to change. They might twists things up a little. Two videos for those who haven't seen the drama: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxMHkVokMxw Given that this is a remake of an original, she'll have to live up to Liu Shishi's portrayal of the female lead character, Ruoxi so backlash is imminent. Yoona's problem is that her recent dramas have had poor ratings as you all know so even though her acting has improved - IMMENSELY may I add, from poor to decent emotive acting - most of those netizens who complain about her acting only remember her rookie performances that had higher ratings than her more recent ones (YAMD, CM) which they more likely have seen. They didn't see how much Actress Im improved in Love Rain and that she also delivered her most solid performance with Prime Minister & I. I, for one, no longer care about negative acting comments on Yoona anymore. Haters are gonna hate. Yoona can take an acting project for all she wants and I want to be there to watch those haters eat their dismissive words up Queen Yoona shall reign the Korean/Asian entertainment industry for another 10 years!- 22,245 replies

Hi Yoonaddicts! Call me Konjo I'm a huge fan of Yoona. I've been a fan since 2007. She's my only bias actually! Great job on the first page by the way! It's been 8 years since her debut, and I have always hoped for an international forum for Yoona fans. I only come across individual threads like this and the YoonAddict Spazz thread on soshified instead of an actual forum just for Yoona. I'm really hoping for a Yoona KOREAN drama for early 2016. But she has her Chinese drama promotions and SNSD tour- 22,245 replies
