Yeah, for sure JYP & YG would prance on her if given the chance. I'm so done with SM and their dirty tricks. yes, SM would have to do something drastic if they ever wanted to bury Yoona. I'm pretty sure Yoona will stay anyway, Taeyeon, too.

I think you're undermining SM's evilness here. Taeyeon and Yoona are their cash cows. Do you really think SM will let them go so easily? They may not be able to completely block her but they would most likely pull out all their guns to sabotage her and throw her under the bus. You also have to remember Taeyeon's sister is with SM now. I doubt Taeyeon would want to leave her there alone. SM will do all they can to keep Taeyeon there, they've probably given her a great deal to be honest with you.

All the girls want to stay together as SNSD. But each and every single one of them have the right to be 'selfish' for once because the girls have been selfless and have sacrificed a lot for SNSD these past 10 years. Both SM and SNSD want the girls to stay together. The problem here is the individual contracts. Taeyeon - SM will do everything in their power to keep her and would have most likely given her a good deal in order to keep her. Taeyeon leaving SM will do her more damage in the sense that Taeyeon's career path is MUSIC. SM can block her just as they did with JYJ. Unfortunately, although any company would love to have her she probably won't have that freedom with her music if we look at JYJ's case. Yoona - The same as Taeyeon except, her career path is ACTING. SM doesn't have the power to block acting projects if she goes, as seen by JYJ; so she can very well get a better deal with an acting agency but Yoona is one of their cash cows especially with her China popularity (and we know how important China is to SM) so I'm sure they've given her a lucrative deal in order to keep her in SM. Sunny - Her career path is VARIETY/RADIO/MC which unfortunately SM can block and sabotage if she were to leave. I think we've all established that Sunny doesn't get preferential treatment. In my opinion, she doesn't get enough work. She said she's got an upcoming song (most likely an OST) which is great. SM probably hasn't given her the best of contracts but nothing too bad I presume. Sooyoung - First of all, why do people keep bringing up Sooyoung and her getting married? What has that got to do with her CAREER? She can get married and act, you know. And it's not like she's in a rush to get married either. Kyungho isn't as well. With Sooyoung, her career path is ACTING. Like I said with Yoona, SM won't be able to block acting projects if she were to leave. However, I don't think SM is giving her what she wants. We've seen time and time again that a lot of these acting projects, SM chooses what projects the girls can do (that was the case with Yoona and Seohyun, which leads me to think it's the same case with Yuri and Sooyoung). I know Sooyoung is getting roles now but not nearly enough to what she should be getting and should've gotten. It feels like SM gave her a few drama projects this year just to appease her. I'm afraid they won't give a shit about her after she signs that contract. She can probably have more control of her acting career if she were to leave for an acting agency to be honest with you all. Which is why I would understand if she wanted to push for better terms on her contract, SM probably isn't given her a good deal that she deserves. Yuri - her career path is ACTING. As I said before, SM can't block acting projects from her if she were to leave. That said, personally I think it's ABSOLUTELY ridiculous the way SM has treated Yuri the past 3 years since they last signed their contract. She's had what, 1 main role (Gogh, starry night) and Defendant but she hardly appeared on that drama. She was also meant to have a solo album but it never materialised. It's been about a year and a half! It's obvious Yuri also wants to dabble with MUSIC as she's shown interest several times (writing lyrics, composing). She can do both MUSIC and ACTING at SM but they most likely haven't given her a good deal. Unfortunately not many agencies can handle music+acting celebs + being able to bring big opportunities that SM can. I'm thinking maybe SM wants to sign her as an actress only and not as a soloist. Or maybe they do want to sign her as both but haven't given her a good enough deal. Either way, SM probably promised her a whole lot more 3 years ago when they signed their previous contract and that promise was broken. I don't blame Yuri for wanting better deals and being cautious with resigning because SM has done shit for her these past 3 years. I would be wary if my company failed to live up to the promises they promised me. Hyoyeon - her career path is VARIETY and potentially MUSIC. SM finally stepped up their solo projects for her since 2014 (SM stations, variety). I think SM gave her a decent deal that she'd be okay with. Hyoyeon staying at SM would be best for her, since they can easily block her from variety too. I think she probably wants a solo album but wouldn't mind not having one either. Maybe release singles here and there. Personally, I think she deserves a lot more but SM being SM will most likely never give her a solo album. Tiffany - with Tiffany it's tricky. Her career path is MUSIC but I think she'd want to act, too but in the U.S not Korea. She seems to genuinely want to go to the US and explore her talents there. Can SM so that? Definitely not. I'm thinking SM is doing their best to keep her there by trying to persuade her with future solo albums in Korea. I think SM probably gave her a good deal but a deal that would have an opportunity cost; that opportunity cost being letting go of her dream of working in the US. Especially at the age she is now (28), it would still be perfect for her to enter that market. Tiffany is a very ambitious woman, she can do anything she sets her mind on. I sincerely hope she does what she truly wants, as much as it would hurt if she does go. She's sacrificed a lot for SNSD (so have the other members). Seohyun - her career path is MUSIC and ACTING. SM finally allowed her to go solo and headline a drama, and she's doing great <3 SM probably gave her an OKAY deal. She's much better off with SM overall but she should push for more control over her projects. SM has rejected so many opportunities for her, it's absolutely unfair. I'm sure there would be agencies that would love to sign her up but they probably won't be able to do anything for her music career unlike SM. All in all, I really hope the girls continue to push for contract terms that they're happy with. With all that they've done for us the past 10 years, I think they should be selfish or at least do what their hearts tells them. Regardless, I'll always support them in all of their future endeavours. I love you, SNSD.

With Suzy, it was just 1 person so she was able to have months to negotiate with JYPE way past the initial date. But with SNSD their contracts expire this month, no? They can't delay their answer (resign or not) any further than a month or so, unlike Suzy. This is because all the individual and group projects planned will in turn be delayed too if they keep delaying it. Seeing as they've been negotiating for 8 months already, it seems as though we'll get an answer very soon. SM is cornering them and giving all they've got now to push them into signing on SM's terms and not theirs.
-
*sigh* There's no doubt now, SM are doing this on purpose. Don't give in girls. Do what YOU want to do!
-
I knew it. SM purposely sabotaged this comeback in order to pressure them into resigning. What a**holes. Regardless of the outcome, I will support each and every members decision be it to stay or leave. SM are so cruel. Doing this to the girls and SONES on our 10th anniversary.
-
I can't believe SM are doing the girls dirty like this. This isn't a coincidence no more. It really isn't. Stopping promotion after 1 week when clearly more weeks were planned. Stopping the DMZ perf. Stopping the album production. + All the weird stuff surrounding airing segments + cuts on variety. At this rate, I wouldn't be too surprised if SM did receive calls from Sketchbook but didn't accept it and decided not to tell the SNSD members. For goodness sakes, I mean even the girls themselves didn't know that promotions were going to end within a week!!

WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING SM will no longer reproduce Holiday Night albums!!!??? And doesn't look like they plan on restocking??? Didn't they say they would fix the damn spelling mistakes? Click here to view the Tweet

I heard that, too. But it was from a source I didn't think was reliable. Guys, I'm scared. I'm really scared. At first, I played off the coincidences. But now... With the DMZ concert, my gut feeling is telling me something bad is going on behind the scenes. With Yuri's fathers appearance I can't help but feel it's to do with SNSD contracts especially considering how SM didn't utter a word about the status of SNSD's contract this whole year. Usually contracts discussion occur months before the termination. We should've heard something from them by now, we should've months ago (Jan-Feb) like they did in 2014. But what have we heard about SNSD's contracts? Nothing. I refuse to believe SM telling MBC to scrap SNSD from the DMZ concert was to do with: 1) Age rating - because Holiday got an all clear from all music shows INCLUDING Music Core, it isn't a LOGICAL reason 2) Tiffany flag issue - no way, because MBC and SM alike knew what day DMZ concert would fall on and they had no qualms for allowing SNSD to perform. There IS something going on. There has to be I'm so scared.

I hope it's true! I don't mind when it is, as long as it's by the end of the year.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I'm crying! This better be true. A JAPANESE ALBUM!!! AFTER 4 YEARS WHAT SORT OF ROLLER COASTER OF A DAY IS IT TODAY

The only way SM can redeem themselves is if they give us this: 1. Promote the repackage PROPERLY with at least 4 weeks promotions. 2. Give us teasers 2 WEEKS BEFOREHAND. 3. Put the girls on radio shows and more variety/performance shows 4. GIVE US A WORLDWIDE TOUR: Europe, North and South America, Asia 5. OR AT LEAST GIVE US A JAPANESE ALBUM
-
WHAT THE HELL AM I SEEING?!! PROMOTIONS TO END ON THE 13th?! ON SUNDAY? So you mean to tell me SM EFFED UP: 1. The misspelling on the teaser (minor) 2. The misspelling on the album (major) 3. SM didn't stock as quick as possible on the first day and some sites have gone out of stock so early during the day at times (major) 4. Point 2 & 3 led to stores being out of stock ONLINE and OFFLINE for that reason (major) 5. SM didn't promote the girls much seeing as how there were Korean comments on articles of their first comeback stage saying they didn't even freaking know SNSD was coming back 6. SM started the teasers SO DAMN LATE. I know they've done that to EXO and others, but HELLOOOO, it's their 10th Anniversary! They should've given the WHOLE month of August to SNSD! I was okay with most of it, tolerant because not everything will be perfect + I overlooked most of it because at least the girls were on several variety shows but THIS?! ONLY 1 WEEK PROMOTION?! What, is the world ending in 2 weeks? It should be at least 3 weeks of promotions / a break of 2 weeks / 3 weeks of promotions (if they have a repackage. Edit - What happened to Yuri? Am I missing something? My poor baby I hope her ankle gets better
