Park Bo Gum And Song Hye Kyo Talk About Song Joong Ki + What It’s Like Working Together On November 21, the press conference was held for upcoming tvN drama “Encounter†with Park Bo Gum, Song Hye Kyo, and director Park Shin Woo in attendance. When asked about what it is like working with Song Hye Kyo, Park Bo Gum responded, “I am so honored to work together. Hye Kyo noona takes good care of me and is considerate. At first, it was a bit difficult to approach her, but we got a lot closer while filming and while talking about our characters.†He also praised, “She treats me to food a lot and gives good acting advice. She is beautiful in every way.†Song Hye Kyo shared, “People seem to think we were very close, but to be honest, we did not know each other well before meeting for ‘Encounter.’ He is younger, but it was still difficult for me to approach him.†She continued, “I talked a lot with the director and Bo Gum on set. There were no disagreements with every conversation, and we were always on the same page, so filming is going smoothly in both Cuba and Korea.†Song Hye Kyo was also asked about comments from her husband Song Joong Ki, to which she replied, “He said to work hard and that he would enjoy watching.†As Park Bo Gum is close to Song Joong Ki as well, he was told to share a message for him. Chun Jung Myung Questions Yoon Eun Hye And Joo Woo Jae’s Friendship In “Love Alert†Chun Jung Myung appears to be quite the jealous fake boyfriend in “Love Alert.†“Love Alert†is about top actress Yoon Yoo Jung (played by Yoon Eun Hye) and doctor Cha Woo Hyun (played by Chun Jung Myung) who end up in a situation where they have to pretend to be in a relationship. Previously, Chun Jung Myung and Yoon Eun Hye showed amazing, romantic chemistry as their relationship deepened. The two shared a kiss in a hospital room, and when Yoon Eun Hye asked him if he could kiss someone he didn’t have feelings for, he said he couldn’t, confirming his budding feelings for her. In the released photos, Joo Woo Jae, who plays Yoon Yoo Jung’s best friend Sung Hoon, carries a sleeping Yoon Eun Hye. Chun Jung Myung looks to be questioning whether the two are really just friends. A source from the drama stated, “The tension between Cha Woo Hyun and Sung Hoon will be high today. Battling an invasion of evil at a hospital for OCN’s Priest I’m finding myself weirdly braver in my viewing choices recently, and if I can stomach Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House, I just might be able to watch this. OCN’s Priest is preparing for its premiere this coming week, and has released some last minute clips and stills to give us a glimpse of what’s in store for us. The first clip, which is really an extended highlight reel, shows Park Yong-woo(Life Tracker Lee Jae-goo) in a church when a boy bursts in to request help for his mother. Outside, a woman falls to the ground from a second-story window, possessed and looking positively terrifying in her white dress and with her red eyes. I’m glad that Park Yong-woo’s character looks as petrified as I do as he confronts the woman with Bible verses. Elsewhere, a news anchor relays the details of a shocking crime, where a former priest-turned-counselor stabbed a young boy who was his client. As we get shots of Jung Yumi’s (Investigation Couple) doctor character trying to keep the boy alive, police finds the former priest covered in blood with a crucifix by his side looking like he’s in shock as well. Park Yong-woo goes to visit his former colleague in custody, who tells him that the boy has been possessed. Aww yeah, are we going to have ourselves an exorcist Scooby gang?! Yeon Woo-jin’s (Nothing to Lose) young priest character is just one of several individuals Park Yong-woo gathers together to fight against the demonic. Sohn Jong-hak(Familiar Wife), Oh Yeon-ah (100 Days My Prince), and rookie actor Yoo Bi will play a detective, an art gallery owner, and an ambulance driver, respectively, who join our two priests in attempting to save the possessed. Interestingly, much of the action seems to center around the one hospital where Jung Yumi works, and it seems that the boy at the beginning of the highlight reel sets off a chain of events that engulfs not only the patients but also the doctors at the hospital. From a doctor’s perspective, I can see why Jung Yumi looks pretty horrified at how the priests treat a child who’s supposed to be in her care. But I hope Jung Yumi gets over her disbelief fast, since it looks like she serves as a significant barrier to the priests and their team in saving her hospital from becoming one expansive nightmare. The second clip is a much shorter one, and more like a snapshot of our three leads: Yeon Woo-jin’s character is described as the exorcist who seeks to protect his faith, Jung Yumi is the doctor who seeks to protect lives, and Park Yong-woo is the priest who seeks to protect everybody. Which sounds like a tall order given they’re fighting a whole hospital’s worth of demons and the possessed. OCN’s Priest is set to premiere this coming Saturday, November 24.

Yeo Jin-gu, Lee Se-young become the king and queen of Joseon There’s been a dearth of sageuks in dramaland recently, and so I can’t wait for The Man Who Became King, the remake of the 2012 hit film Masquerade (also known as Gwanghae). Recently, still cuts of the two main actors were released, and the gorgeous hanboks are getting me doubly excited! Yeo Jin-gu (Reunited Worlds) stars in a dual role as a Joseon king and also a clown who looks identical to the king. Actress Lee Se-young (Hwayugi) transforms into his gentle but tenacious queen for her role in this drama. To set the scene, this king is surrounded by enemies who constantly threaten his life. When he’s at the end of his rope, he devises a strategy to escape them. He finds a clown who looks exactly like him, and they end up switching places. To protect the people he loves, the king must fool even the people closest to him, including the queen. The problem is when the queen begins to fall in love with this “new side†of the king after the switch occurs. Will the happy-go-lucky clown or the charismatic but paranoid king be the ultimate conqueror of the queen’s heart — or will everything end in tragedy? I’m ready for the hurt-that-feels-so-good to begin. tvN’s Monday-Tuesday drama The Man Who Became King, written by Kim Seon-deok and Shin Ha-eun and directed by Kim Hee-won, will begin broadcast on January 7, 2019. cr
