These past few years I've felt so bad for CL knowing she wanted to release songs and perform for fans. Now I'm supposed to feel sorry for her that she doesn't have YG's backing?

 

 

Does anyone remember when CL had to find hairstylists for her dancers and do her own makeup for her Olympic performance? People thinking YG was gonna start promoting her again are delusional.

I think Dara is probably okay with becoming an actress and occasionally performing songs, so I can understand if she doesn't want to leave YG.

I think CL has just stopped using YG people for the most parts. She probably wants nothing to do with YG anymore, and don't want to feel like she owes the company anything when she leaves after her contract expires.

Last year Scooter Braun confirmed CL is on the ''independent'' market. YG Entertainment still post about her because she's signed on that label but Scooter has the keys now.

I think she re-signed with YG coz they will be able to back her up if she flops and has to come back to Korea. Plus she's actually on both fields, one feet in the US another one in Korea.

 

Also he didn't had her messed up about creating a whole new album for 2NE1.

According to CL it's on her own that she decided to work on something new for the group, but at the end when 2NE1 disbanded we actually learned that they didn't record anything as a trio.

They were only at the phase of putting different ideas on the table for their new sound post-minzy-leaving.

 

Now back to CL's US album, she mostly worked with american producers outside of YG's clust.

 

The one to be blamed for her US album being pushed back is Scooter, he's her boss and the brain behind everything related to her debut in the west.

He's the one in charge of her advancement on the US market, from her first festivals in America to her appearance on the James Corden show to her theater tour last year or to her recent collab with Lil' Yachty.

 

Now i don't have the reasons why Scooter pushed it back, coz i'm not Mister Know It All. But 'Hello Bitches' not gathering as much buzz as they would have wanted and 'Lifted' flopping extra hard didn't help her advancement either.

She signed a contract with Scooter, which means everything she do coast money, he invested on CL.

 

Last year, if i remember a dick riding blog like Noisey or FUSE or one of them paid by Scooter to praise CL mentionned that her EP would be released in Fall 2017. So far it looks like we are heading to this Fall release.

 

As for her 'Lifted' EP, this is all the songs she recorded so far (as far as we know) :

- Hello Bitches

- Lifted

- Birthday (Song mentionned in her US DAZED 2015 interview)

- One (Song mentionned in her US DAZED 2015 interview)

- Fallin' (Song mentionned in her US DAZED 2015 interview)

- Monster (Song mentionned by OG Maco)

- Run It (Song officially registered in that US database of songs credits)

- Untitled (Song playing as her intro for the 'Hello Bitches Tour')

- Untitled (Snippet she posted on Instagram in January 2016)

- Untitled (Snipped from her reunion with her team she posted on Instagram in 2016 then deleted it immediately)

 

I don't think this is the final tracklist because in a 2016 interview she said she had to re-record coz Scooter scrapped everything that was originally planned.

Superwoman deserves a mv, Ninano is a song that takes zero risk, it's just good and quiet addictive. Her first mini album is really good, all the songs are special.

 

This tbh. To me, Lifted was her debut. In Korea it's possible to get fame quickly if you're from a big company but the US market is so much bigger, it's rare for someone to blow up just like that.

This is like the third time she's debuting.

They should probably be humble, and honest about the fact that CL is taking time to try.

I don't mind that but they aren't releasing anymore songs 

Some fans are MAD and even commenting on her IG about it. I think her last caption about living your life was about the comments she's been getting.

We have to wait one year for one song

And the girl is still like "Time never lies. Be patient." 

part of me doesn't believe him but we'll see.
