That is how you get better I guess. If you promote for 3-4 months you are bound to become better at the song you are doing and it prepares you for the next debut. I mean Twice had a long promo for Ohh Ahh.

I just have a feeling... that no matter how people think the song and the MV are letdowns, whens it come to the live performance, they will slay it. I say let their live performances make the impact! In a live setting, you have the song, the choreography, the visuals, and their individuality. Without the clout of a low budget MV, the song will come out better. They are just that talented and I still have high expectations for this group.

IMO after listening to the song without the MV, I would say that the production value of the MV is at fault. Do not get me wrong, the MV got the closeups and the visuals right It is actually a good song (not that great), but in KPOP where everything is visual you want the MV to flow with the beat. There are several good songs, that is made better by a good MV. All we got are individual shots of them doing different things, and two slightly different stages as a group. Notice how in the rap part, no transitions were made to a different scene. Nayoung was rapping with that bright neon colored dress that just do not match the part. It also have some EDM parts on it, but then it flashes to Pinky doing a ballet dance. Even the 1,2, 1,2, 1,2 - sequence. It has no pop, but instead it is just cute. The shots of the MV just do not match the song. So overall as you anticipate the song + video, it will be lacking. But if you were only listening to the song, it is a good song for a debut. So for me. the song is ok - the MV was the letdown. But it will still be successful because they are just gorgeous.

Sorry for my English . I am a fan. When I mean bummer, I meant I am sad that they are not on music shows. They definitely deserve it as they will be the rookie girl group to beat this year.

Bummer, because you want to see them performing more. But music shows are not as important in a promotion anymore as before. It is not necessary to promote on music shows to bring impact. Just look at IU, BB, AKMU, and even Miss A and Taeyeon who sparsely promoted on music shows last year.

Honestly I do not know what to think. I just feel she deflated and had to fold. She knew what she was doing and what she is getting into. She is a very good lyricist, as it showed not only in this song but all the other songs she composed. So, I fully believe that she was going into this with all her heart and have covered all the possible meaning she wants to express in these songs. But alas, she is 22/23, she is still young, and she may not have been prepared for the heat she was expecting. There are a lot of factors that come into play: including her staff, her agency, and her commercial contracts. That is why she had to make the sincerest corporate apology she can muster. I am pretty sure, in an alternate universe (or in a different country!) she will just post a tweet or a post/interview explaining what the song really meant to her and what she is fighting for. There is a lot more to this. But her heart broke. Everything developed too fast, and she had to say something. What crushed me as a fan is when she had to apologize for the great work that she is mighty proud of. That album took a lot out of her, and that is deflating for anyone doing meaningful work.
