  1. Wow Twice is legit. I do not think it is their best song but they might break 1m views in one hour. Crazy good! I think IOI will hold on to number 2 for a long time maybe until Blackpink.
  2. Digital Streaming is 100x bigger than Physicals in terms of how the public consumes music. No one buys albums anymore unless you are a fan girl/boy. Because of its size, digital streaming is a better indicator of public recognition. And when we mean public, we are talking about from the teens to the 70's and beyond in age groups. Getting a PAK is not a fandom achievement. It is just because the song is a legitimate hit. Digital Streaming are for casual listeners. They like a song, or they know a song is trending so they add it to their playlist and listen to it. Because of its size, fandoms cannot influence the success of their idols in digital streaming. Boy Groups have big fandoms, but their digitals depend on how good or catchy the song is.
  3. I think Twice release will be a ballad? If so yes I see it peaking for a few hours and could earn IOI their second PAK. The real competition is the comeback song. On the other hand a PAK is really hard to do because one drop in the realtime charts will make you lose it (like soribada). So yeah just hoping for the best.
  4. Yes that makes sense. Any fan would probably get a signed if they knew it would be the last.
  5. I think the price has to do with the physicals being a bit slower? But having a PAK is a different achievement altogether. Digital power has always been about public recognition, especially on Melon. Physicals is about the fandom buying the album. I guess the best approximate for physicals is if you factor in the price of this new album compared to the price of Whatta Man and see what the expected sales are for this week.
  6. What big releases will be coming? I think they have a good chance of keeping the PAK until at least Twice comeback.
  7. I also hope they release MVs for their other tracks. Between the produce 101 and their IOI songs they have enough material for a full concert (tour).
  8. What is even sadder, and my bias is Sejeong, so this pains me to say this.. but if you are having that feelings, I am pretty sure the rest of the other girls in the IOI unit feel it too. I am pretty sure there were missed schedules and engagements that we do not know because of this setup and the girls are just tolerating it. I think they forgot just how Dream Girls was a bigger song than any comebacks that DIA or Gugudan will have. Honestly I think DIA has a legit shot to be the next T-ara but I am not sure if Gugudan will last 2 years. Honestly Gugudan's best shot is to get Sejeong and Mina to focus on this last IOI comeback to help their group.
  9. All I got 100% confirmed from the teaser is it is from JYP hehe.
  10. I think 11 models walked in. I cannot remember a GG where all members are visuals.
  11. Wait what is this? What happened to Sohye? It seems she is the main visual now. Most charismatic group ever.
  12. What is that like brown goo between Mina and Chungha's head. Seems like an edit gone wrong.
  13. It seems this comeback is like something that they have to get over with. I fully expected the OT4 to work like they are in IOI for this last comeback. If they have other conflicting schedules, I am not sure how they can get this to work.
  14. Maybe somehow OT11 performs together in a surprise special stage to mark the beginning of their comeback hehe.
  15. This is on repeat for me. I do not know when they recorded this but this was released at a time when all of them have just become more and more popular. Before they were winners of a talent show, I think now watching that CF, it really feels like an all star crew, like all of them stand on their own popularity. They can sell anything. Awaiting their comeback!
  16. I thought the performance was great. Not sure what the fan account meant. It is certainly better than many other HTS stages.
  17. I think what JYP brings to IOI is that you kinda know what you are getting from him. So at the least the song will be moderately successful and he can also hit a home run like all his other home runs, that can be part of Kpop history. Whatta Man was a daebak comeback and gave IOI their first win, but that is only a moderately successul hit if you are a big agency. JYP is now their best chance to eclipse Whatta Man.
  18. Check out this thread. In the Produce 101/IOI era, the 35 girls 5 Concepts album is one of the biggest in Gaon. http://onehallyu.com/topic/390948-gaon-2016-download-rankings-week-1-to-35/
  19. Yes Twice, Mamamoo, Gfriend, and IOI were in the same episode.
  20. Overall a great episode! IOI sang Whatta Man live and they did a full energy choreography! (Most girl groups usually take it slow when doing a live perf, because they want to be stable, but IOI went for it!) my top 3 performances were 1) Mamamoo 1cm Rock Version. That was not only a live perf, but a live band with no BG music. Legends. 2) Followed closely by Whatta man. Hard Choreo and all went for the high notes. Rap was powerful too! 3) Gfriend and their hits medley. The transition was so good and they sing live well.
