  1. That is impossible to answer because you have idols like KARA who debuted at a young age and sang the same way for years. Whereas you have idols who are older than her even and suddenly improve because they started taking lessons more seriously. So it depends on her ultimately...on her and her instructor.

Yeah I figured that is the case, but I just wanted to know if there are rough estimates. It seems to be completely circumstantial. Thanks.

  2. I don't have a lot of time right now, but it would be a breakdown of her technique not her voice. So someone asked about her before and posted 4 videos, I'm going to link the four videos and copy-paste my answer and let me know then if you still have any other unanswered questions.

"Up until 0:34 in the first video, she did fine, she was a bit shaky but that could very well be nerves and a stylistic approach. Then she hit a very low note, F#3 I believe, which was quite airy and half-spoken, slightly lowered larynx so she was forcing her larynx down in order to hit the note, which is not advisable. 0:59 same thing, actually it's G#3 and F#3. 1:11 B4, she has some very nice support around that part of her voice, her transition afterwards into falsetto wasn't bad. She has a very pretty voice too. It's funny, I was going to underestimate her because I thought she was a child but she has a nice approach to her singing. 1:45 the shape of her throat on that sustained C5 could've been better, more opened...but up to B4, she does well. 2:24 that B4 was quite nice. Her pitch is quite nice. 2:35 those runs could've been more precise, but she isn't too bad at switching and finding the notes. 2:51 her larynx, which is supposed to stay in a neutral position, went up slightly and her mix got quite head-dominant, meaning she didn't have enough chest voice in her mix, so her tone got weaker, thinner and the overall sound well less full and supported.

She kind of reminds me of Yerin, in tone just a little bit. But it's probably because she's singing this song. 0:33 A4, those A4's are nice, she has a nice tone. 0:44 her runs aren't bad at all, her melodic changes aren't bad either. Damn this girl has lots of potential. 0:56 quite throaty and husky D5, not very good approach, quite pained. The last note was kind of flat but she seemed to lose focus. Some issues with C#5's in the third video, nothing major. Cry Me Out has a lot of C#5's, they're a bit pushed, she reminds me of Girls' Day's Minah in terms of vocal ability and skill level. She seems like kind of an average vocalist or a bit better, she has some nice moments but she seems young.

I mean it's funny to me because she is far better than any member of Kara, so the idea of her being in the group is funny lol I see she debuted as the main vocalist of April, is that right? I look forward to her improvements as a vocalist, she shows me a lot more potential than other rookies I heard. ^ ^"

Thanks! I have one unanswered question, if you don't mind. How much do idols improve on average at her age? You say she has potential, but I am curious about how much improvement can be expected from someone as young as she is with her kind of technique.
