@ rock comment: Just checked.. Depends on the reliability of the VApp subs but he says "I'm not a fan of rock but I enjoy rock bands' songs." Perhaps it's that he preferes rock bands over a rock singer or something similar? I initially understood it as loving rock songs but not preferably being into the genre (following a lot of artists in the rock genre, having a tendency to prefer songs of that genre over others and so on). He always fit well into rock. Had that vibe. Especially that HYYH Ma City concert performance was a good showcase of that. So I'm happy that he got into the chart, as ironic as it might be lol. I hope he takes that as a hint and tries out more in that direction (my rocker heart would be in bliss). But I'm also still waiting and wishing that he really does that 'traditional korean instruments' idea (or generally starts to include more classical instruments except pianos)

I wonder when I'll be able to forgive the fandom for dirtying or distorting Namjoon's image over such a long time. Still doing it tbh. Whenever I see even Joon stans repeat stuff that isn't correct, I just lose hope for anything lol Combo of eyes and eyebrow, it's interesting to see how it can change from as mentioned fox-like to baby boy eyes. And then lips. They really are so full and defined. Hmm.. don't know. He also heavily participated in Baepsae, Not Today, Am I wrong, Mic Drop and so on? His ~6 productions in the past year have been on the softer side for now, but each for a reason. Composition and lyric wise it has always been a mix, considering he works on nearly every song (lyrics always were poetic) and that a lot are for BTS, not for himself. And he also worked on Come Back Home, had Change and Gajah as solos. All not really sensitive stuff. I personally would wait until his second solo "thing" to really decide, because so far it was more about fitting songs to BTS' style. I would be surprised if he gave us mostly sensitive, singing songs which seemingly many fans think is his favored style these days.

Some badges by me. Badly made (a few have the wrong edge size), but it's just to give an idea and the link has the original pics if someone else wants to try. There had been many but I was lazy.

It's hard to pinpoint the thought behind it because we look at it now and there might have been other ideas back then (different heights and expectiations, different persona goals or general direction etc.). Imo it mostly works now the best for their group height, especially in their talk/message vids (except some go wild with the shoes and suddenly grow a bit). Put RM in the middle there and he blocks the two behind him a lot. I guessed the image they want to showcase as BTS is balance. You could say you have the leader and eldest Hyung as the ones with traditionally highest power with the youngest one in the middle, who also is the golden maknae, so a good centerpoint. And then each a singer and rapper balances the sides. Plus Hobi and Jimin both being formerly dancers. There are times where they change it up though, I guess depending on the "viewer". And they don't have as much of hard rules for seated interviews if I remember it right. Another side-effect nowadays is that it's also balanced in fandom favorism, perhaps even visuals if you want to go there. These are btw not my opinions, just what I would guess to be the thought behind it.
