What do you guys think of Julien Kang? He is 35 years old and never married and and he was on WGM, which always makes me suspicious. I find it interesting that every few years there were rumours of him being in a serious relationship or even engaged to a girl and yet there was never one single photo of the couple.

These interviews of ex-trainees and ex-group members are always interesting and this one even more because of her honesty. It's gross that the company pressured a child to lose weight to the point that she self-harmed. Isn't it interesting that even as the thinnest member, she was still feeling that pressure? This is so messed up. Companies don't care how much damage they're doing to these kids, whether it's mental or physical. They're just products with a short shelf life. I'm glad she got therapy and is doing good now.

The members that the Korean and Chinese fans suspect are gay or bi are Hanbin, Jinhwan and Yunhyeong. Interestingly Yunhyeong doesn't seem to ping international fans at all? Other members are questionable IMO except Chanwoo.

Interesting that you bring up Heechul because if I had to bet real life money on someone in Suju being gay, it would be Ryeowook and not Heechul. That said Heechul pings so much, he has to be at least bi if not gay (but personally I would say more likely gay). Heechul had dating rumours with women in the past but I don't think any of them had any proof?

I have a feeling most Ikon members have had a crush on Jinhwan at some point, even Bobby who seems like a very straight guy until he's around him (and Hanbin sometimes). Bobby turns into a schoolboy on his first date at the movies around Jinhwan. First, poking the knee. Then pretending to stretch and sling his arm around his shoulder, very smooth Bobby! and poor Hanbin is feeling left out in the cold. I find Bobby hard to read, Jinhwan pings me a lot, Hanbin a little less but Bobby doesn't ping at all and yet there is something about the way he is around the two of them that seems a little suspicious at times? I don't get this vibe when he's around the other members, even someone close to him like Donghyuk. Bobby is also the only one of the three who has openly admitted he had girlfriends before, not that it necessarily means anything. I don't think Jinhwan ever publicly clarified whether he really dated Jimin or she was just a friend, and Hanbin has never had any dating rumours.

I was reading about Teen Top's Niel's girlfriend scandal earlier: "you can see one female and three males at an airport. Of course the girl must automatically be Niel's girlfriend, but the non-celebrity male can only be Chunji's friend. Because male idols can't possibly have boyfriends. This is a gossip section. Nothing here should be taken too seriously. Personally I visit the gay and lesbian threads because some idols and other entertainers ping me, and I'm curious to know whether other people feel the same way about them. None of us are endangering celebs by discussing their possible sexual orientation because who in Korea is going to take what some random international fans are discussing on the gossip forum seriously? Also, pInging and skinship are not necessarily related and people from all cultures can tell the difference between a friendly gesture or touch and something more. Yes there are cultural differences such as the signs that people use to recognize each other, but everything else is pretty much universal and we can all tell when 2 females or 2 males are into each other as more than just friends.

I really don't think any idol groups of either gender are bringing girlfriends/boyfriends into their dorms. A part of their value as idols is that some of their fans like to fantasize about them as available boyfriends/girlfriends, managers often live with them and wouldn't let it happen, the members themselves would not risk destroying their careers over it unless they're exceptionally stupid. Remember almost all groups have sasaeng fans who are watching their every move and keep track of all people coming in and out of their dorms. If you follow a group closely, you will see updates like "so-and-so's mother visited the dorm today" etc... If any boy group member is having sex with a girl, it's happening somewhere else. btw I'm also part of the minority who thinks Jin isn't straight (and not because of Ken).

I can't believe nobody commented on this yet because I did a double take and asked myself if there was something lost in translation? The way they look at each other says it all though. Zico is an interesting character, I just can't reconcile the way he is around certain guys with his homophobic slip-ups.
