That petition thread is vile but the idea that anything written here could out a Korean idol is laughable. It's not like any of us know these idols personally or have access to some kind of special secret info. Everything written here is speculation based on the persona idols portray in public, their body language, their mannerisms, what they post on social media and so on. That's information that anyone can access and use to form their opinion.

On a recent Japanese variety show, they showed a backstage clip where the staff explained to iKON what they were going to do on the next segment. It was play-acting situations between a girlfriend and boyfriend, with the host playing the role of the girlfriend. Junhwe blurted out "I have a boyfriend", the host and Yunhyeong made fun of him and he corrected it to girlfriend. Junhwe is the second best Japanese speaker in the group after Jinhwan so I doubt he would get such easy words mixed up. From the way he is adjusting his clothes and his facial expressions, it looks like he didn't know this part was being filmed for real and would end up being on broadcast. Why is the sound level so low on iKON TV? Usually I have the sound for my headphones on level 15 to 20 when I watch movies or listen to podcasts. With iKON TV I put them on level 100 and it's still too low.

iKON TV is everything I expected and more! I felt sorry for the staff who had to go hiking with Hanbin, some parts of the path were difficult and it didn't look like they were prepared for it. The views were amazing though. Yoyo is secretly a time traveller from 50 years ago? It's as if he's discovering modern technology for the first time lol

I think this all goes back to Minhyun's pre-debut popularity. He was featured in Orange Caramel's Shanghai Romance MV and they gave him this cold & handsome image which was an immediate hit with the public. Because this worked so well, they kept this image when NU'EST debuted (about a year later I think?) You had him saying things like he didn’t want to date any time soon because he knew the fans like innocent boys. Or he’d never dated and never had his first kiss and his very first hug with a girl was with a fan. The idea that someone as attractive as Minhyun was "innocent" and had never had a hug or kiss is laughable IMO. It's just him conforming to the image the company picked for him, the princely and unattainable guy. I don't know about the rest of you but I also come from a culture where good grades are everything and you're expected to be completely dedicated to your studies. Even so, many kids were dating in middle school and by the time we were in high school pretty much all of us had some experience with dating. Even the shy and awkward kids. Even the not-so-attractive kids. Every time I hear an idol claim they have no dating experience I roll my eyes. There are always exceptions but I mostly think they're just saying what their management told them to say. NU'EST went through times they were so unpopular that they wouldn't have been recognized in the streets. Back then they were one of the few groups that had no sasaeng fans. It would have been really easy for them to date. I don't think Minhyun was ever a playboy like Aron, just someone who dated a few people like most guys his age. That's just my theory, not saying I know any of this for sure.

I used to follow NU'EST activities closely back in the day and it's well known in the fandom that Minhyun has had a number of girlfriends. He lied on Happy Together but I wouldn't hold it against him. They are often told to say things as part of the script and if they have decided on this kind of image for his idol persona then he has no choice but go along with it. I've noticed this with pretty much every idol I've been a fan of, sometimes the things they get them to say or do on variety shows are so cringey because they contradict things they've said or done before. Sometimes the agency changes their mind about the image they want for an idol and that's also jarring for the existing fans. Of course Minhyun could be bi, who knows. The ones that pinged me in the group were Ren and JR.

Asymmetry isn't bad! Very few people are completely symmetrical. In fact, if people had completely symmetrical faces they would look unnatural. Most people considered as very attractive have some degree of asymmetry (maybe you've seen the comparison pictures of the right and left sides of young Brigitte Bardot's face?)

It is sometimes genetic but it also happens in families who have symmetrical faces. When children are undernourished, chronically sick or exposed to extreme stress (like children growing up in war conditions) the body can experience abnormal and uneven growth which results in facial and body asymmetry.

Jinhwan's nose confused me too! I think he used to get these injections that give you a temporary nose bridge and then a nose job later on. Now I'm not so sure what he did exactly, possibly 2 nose jobs? His nose looks good now but his original nose was nice enough IMO. Junhwe had some changes to his nose too, I'm not sure what exactly but he had some small scars at one point. I'll see if I can find any photos of the scars. Some people say Yunhyeong had eye surgery. This is based on an old picture where his eyes are uneven but you can find older photos of him with double eyelids and even eyes. So I'm not really sure. People with small double eyelids sometimes choose surgery to deepen them. Otherwise I think the rest of iKON are natural.

Edward is popular with a very young crowd, his following seems to be mostly tween girls. One thing that really stuck out to me is that he doesn't understand how important military service is in Korea and that gay men are hunted down in the military. You can join the army if you're gay but while in service, homosexual relationships are banned. This means that you basically must live as a monk while doing your military service. YG often mentioned in interviews that he would debut a girl group who was 100% natural, back in the day when their chosen name was still Pink Punk. Once he had finalized the line-up he never once mentioned the 100% natural thing again, but I guess you could say Black Pink are one of the more natural girl groups in the sense that they have a lot less procedures than other girl groups. I do believe they have a clause in their contracts that they cannot have any more surgical procedures unless approved by the company, which would make sense.

The kind of stuff college age guys consider fun can come across as douchy sometimes so I understand your comment. Most of it is just fanservice but sometimes you get stuff like this Hanbin/Bobby hug when they didn't know the cameras were still rolling. I'm 100% certain Hanbin is into guys, he could be into girls too, who knows. There are other questionable members in iKON. More generally I feel that people are too quick to dismiss fanservice as a source of information. Body language is the best source of hints, whether the interaction is forced or genuine.
