Is it okay for light-skinned people to use dark-skinned emojis?
Ddeona Oneul Bame replied to felidae's topic in Random
I'm not worked up? I asked you a question, I am genuinely curious about what you said. Why do you take that as getting worked up? It was for a while, people getting mad over which Barbies kids wanted. Very pathetic time to be alive~ -

What do you mean "it's not their emoji to use"? Are you serious? It's literally pixels, it's for ANYONE to use if they click on it and use it in a post. If I want to use the whitest emoji there, who is going to stop me? I really don't get why y'all trying to police the most irrelevant things. This is the whole "white kids can't play with black Barbies because it doesn't look like them" all over again. Seriously, what is it to you if a light person uses a dark emoji? Genuinely curious. -
Oh everyone is bashing him, I have not seen anyone else that brave to be public about being a pedo Considering YT kept a cat killer up on there for about 3 years until finally removing him, I'm not surprised that they think this pedo is pretty good to keep up on there

There's literally a person on Youtube PROUDLY proclaiming that he got off to these "hot" 11 year olds and defending the movie. People are WILDING with justifying this movie.

I'm seriously getting annoyed with I-fans always spamming "ENGLISH SUBS PLZ FOR I-FANS" and "WHERE ARE THE SUBS?" in every freaking episode of Luhan's drama. I know this isn't specific to him, but it's the first time I've watched a drama unsubbed so I haven't really noticed it before but...it's literally EVERY. SINGLE. EPISODE. The exact same people in every single episode. If by Episode 28 you STILL do not see any subs...what would possess you to keep spamming asking for them? You are not entitled to subs. I'm sure there's subs out there for it somewhere. But on this particular Channel, it's unsubbed. Stop acting like everyone's obligated to sub for you. And if there isn't any subbed version, why don't you just watch it without the subs??? LMAO, how hard is it for people who are into C-drama and K-drama to either learn the language to some degree so they can enjoy what they're watching, or just watch as is, try to enjoy what's on the screen, and support the actor? I don't understand how these people claim to be so into K/C/J culture and yet only want to throw around the same one or two words. I actually had someone reply to one of my comments about the episode like "YOU UNDERSTAND WITHOUT SUBS?!?!?!" First of all, why are we assuming I can't possibly know any language but English just because I chose to comment in English? Mandarin is not some sacred, secret language. Anyway, I answered saying that I was studying Mandarin and she was like "Ohh, good for you, bad for me, sad face". Something like that. Which just had me like??????????????????????????????? It's as if learning another language is a foreign concept to these people. They would rather sit there and whine about subs instead of just watching the show. If you don't want to learn more than 4 words of another language, then fine, but stop whining and moaning that you can't understand anything, either. I don't understand maybe more than 30% of the dialogue, which is abysmal, but at least I'm making an attempt. People who don't speak English don't constantly spam asking for subs on any product outside of their native tongue, so I fail to understand why Western fans cannot comprehend watching something that's not in English without subs. TL;DR, YOU ARE NOT OWED SUBS!!

A lot of new K-POP fans don't even know about this stuff, it's really sad. They bully and harass these nugu idols for not being perfect like "gggrr, they'll never get more popular if they don't have nice fancy MVs and songs" and they don't even realize how bad some of these companies are. And these idols are desperate to debut if they're in a smaller company. Idols starve themselves, they barely sleep, they're in an insane amount of debt (debuting ain't anywhere near free) and some of them don't even get paid right away. You have people staying in dogsht companies just for the chance to debut. And the sad part is that most of us will never even hear about them. Even Rania, who is nugu but not completely nugu, talked a couple years ago about how they were in cars with no seatbelts. This is post-Ladies Code era. If your company is not even so much as providing you the ability to travel safely from one place to another... It is not easy being an idol at all, trainees go through a hell of a lot and it doesn't always end after you debut.

It's definitely better when they know their limits. Another good example I was really happy with was Xiumin's Japanese solo song, Shake They did have him have a high note but not too high that it was out of his range, it suited him well. You know it was fine because OH would have dragged TF out of him if he had tried to pull a Chen

A lot of people associate "high notes" with "talent". This is not to say that people who hit high notes are not talented, but just constantly screaming to try to present yourself as talented is a bit eehhhh. It's actually quite common in gospel music. Sunday Best is a gospel singing show and I can't tell you how many people I've seen say some singers are amazing just because they spend 50% of the song screaming. There is a difference between a good high note and trying to make yourself look talented by throwing high notes around everywhere and none of them fit whatsoever. Back to K-POP, I actually noticed this in this song: Generally the K-POP formula would have a high note at the start of the last chorus, but there isn't one here. I thought that was actually pretty interesting. They didn't force one in there. I'm not familiar with this group so I'm not sure what their vocal range is but it was a good choice not to just slap in a random high note that wouldn't be fitting for them.

My point is that this is a first world problem. It's an emoji. If people are really out there policing what emojis other people are using, then they're trying a bit too hard to find something to be mad over. People can use whatever emojis they want. -

??? Is it okay for Dark Skinned people to use Light Skinned emojis? Because I've never heard any complaints about that~ Also, it's a fxxking emoji~ Literally who cares which one someone is using? The girl just sounds like she's looking for something to get mad about. What is it to her if people she doesn't think are dark enough use dark skinned emojis? -
Back in the day, people used Oil Lamps for their lights and, in order to save energy, Ben Franklin (I'm pretty sure) came up with DST so it would get darker later. That way people didn't need their lights on for as long because it would still be light outside at the time where they would usually turn their lights on. As for why we still have it, IDK
