NOOOOOOOOO I'll never forgive that great server crash of OH for effectively killing this place. I hate that forums are dying out more and more, I by far prefer them to places like Twitter where it feels like you're screaming into a void unless you have a large following. Hul, I had so many memories being on OH, getting up at 2 AM for streaming the year end shows or comebacks when the release times changed. Or the months long wars over badges, campaigning and shizz. Well, it's been fun, I'll miss it. Hallyu+ is really GG Hallyu so I never really found myself attached to there so I guess I will have to motivate myself to get K-POP news from Twitter.

I'm a bit late on this. I did say I would be updating all aspects of this case, so it only makes sense for me to update this tidbit. Kris and his legal team filed an appeal in July 2023, so I'm quite a bit behind in updating because I hadn't seen this posted about until I actually searched for it last week. Needless to say, there is very little more to say than that. As with the original trial, absolutely everything is being kept private for the sake of the victims in this case. Thus, whatever the actual verdict of the appeal is, like the main trial itself, will either likely never be known to the public or will simply be whether or not the original sentence is to be upheld, or overturned, and not many other details. As for my thoughts on what this could mean, I have no idea. We have talked extensively about China's 99% conviction rate. You're generally not getting out once you get in. And unless there's some new mind-blowing, stunning, never-before-seen evidence that could exonerate Kris, I don't think we'll be seeing his release. And if he truly is guilty, which the original verdict states, I wouldn't want that to be the case. If by any chance, any new news pops up, I will share it here.
