To be successful in Japan, the group only needs the money-makers : Sakura, Miru, Juri and Nako. Those girls have actual fans that spend money on them for handshake events (and not for the music I precise) . The other j-trainees weren't nugu for no reason. If we talk about the general public, people don't even care about Sakura outside the idol niche. Even three girls could be enough, see Twice. And as a korean group, they'll probably attract the young japanese kpop fans. Those who, I presume, will probably be more interested in korean trainees. So the all "We need 6:6 because they'll promote in Japan" is bs. But I guess since it's a collaboration, it's only fair to demand equity.

If I were a Megu fan, I'd be so pissed off. The styling AND the fact that she has to share the center with Obata Yuna. They did the same thing to Wasamin

At the end of the day, Miyu can't sing those high notes, she's not a main vocalist material. And it's not about progressing or trying, she has been cultivating her talent since 2012 in AKS' darkest basement. She just doesn't have the range. On the other hand, Hae-yoon has been highlighted several times through the show for being one of the "good" vocalists. She went from #59 to #18, sadly she has been stagnant ever since the second elimination. In comparison, Yeojung was already a part of the TOP11 by the middle of the first season. The voting period ends one day before the live broadcast. It won't change anything. The individual fanbases are already established. Move on people ~

Honestly the j-trainees are too greedy here... 3/4 of them can't sing and they took all the good spots

Twice has hi-touch events, multiple versions and trading cards. Those are already incentives to increase sales.

Probably a story around Sakura and Dasu searching for something "missing" ? lol I'm very surprised that this double-center works so well. They're quite the opposite. Jurina will probably center another single, she's just absent from everything.

Jurina won't be attending the SSK Festival in early August. I presume she will get a solo concert before the 2019 Request Hour or something similar ? :( I really like Sentimental Train, nice song ♡

They all flop except Kawaei Rina who is under Avex Entertainment. None of them have found a second stardom and they all relay on their affiliation to AKB48 to get supporting roles or variety appearances. Maeda Atsuko, the eternal center, has been in the game for six good years and she has yet to have a very successful drama/movie under her own name. She's at best a b-list actress. The others have similar paths (Oshima Yuko, Shimazaki Haruka, Matsui Rena). In the music industry, it's a big flop (Itano Tomochi, Kasai Tomomi, Takahashi Minami). They gradually disappear. Japanese idols have a short lifespan, they depend on their freshness, after that sadly if they don't have talent or/and a good management, it's very competitive :\ The japanese industry isn't centred around idols like the Korean one is. It"s a niche, sometimes a trend...

There's no standard except cuteness. The fact is 90% of the girls in the 48group are there to shake hands with a majority of male fans. They perform sometimes at the theater (although the frequency has decreased dramatically), the less popular girls sing one b-side every 3 or 4 singles. Only a few girls enjoy mainstream popularity. The last one was actually Paruru, even Sakura is not very well known by the japanese public. For a lot of them, it's only a part-time job with no prospective to last in the entertainment industry.
