    NAYEON "POP!" M/V

I see they tried to emulate HyunA's Bubble Pop and Lee Hyori's overall stage presence, but it falls flat. I don't know if this is enough to compete with Smiley for bubblegum hit of the year.
  2. It's kind of boring. There's no highlight or whatsoever. Where is the concept? I expected more from Source and Hybe considering they did a really good job with Gfriend's trilogy.
  3. Did they just sample Shakira's Whenever, Wherever?
  4. First 30 seconds were fine, then it's really repetitive. Typical Psy. "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger", "Haters gonna hate, players gonna play".. Lyricism was off the roof
  5. I feel uncomfortable seeing heterosexual people make bank out of fantasized LGBT stories, especially in a country as conservative as Korea where gay people are oppressed all the time , but I guess it also happened like that at first in the West... I certainly won't say they "deserve" their new success.
  6. They clearly don't want to enlist, but who can blame them? From hanging out with Western A-list stars at the peak of you career to being stuck in a dorm of Korean soldiers for two years?
  7. Everything is mid for me. I really don't get all the hype around IVE.
  8. This hits harder than their Korean comeback!! So good and a shame to waste this bop on a Japanese release. SM better step up their game with their next Korean album. I'd say they have a small fandom among Japanese Kpop fans, but they are clearly not popular. It seems like a contractual release.
  9. I like the fact that during my first listen I was thinking "Oh, this is a return to the Ice Cream Cake/The Red sound". The song is certainly interesting, but probably a bit too sugary during the chorus to become a hit. The "Bridgeton/Swan Lake" concept also does not fit them as a 8-year old group, come on, it's too countryfied.
  10. It came up in one of my playlists and it is so much better than the original?!
  11. It's horrible. We need a revival of orthodox/cutesy idols QUICK! Everything is annoying from the beat to their voices passing by that MV which ressembles a Disney Channel Teaser.

    Apink - Dilemma

There's like 5 genres in the song LOL but I'm here for it and we're happy to see Apink thriving in their 11th year.

    TAEYEON 'INVU' MV

The visuals are stunning!! It's probably one of her best pop songs
  14. What happened that both BoA and Taeyeon, who are both known as headstrong women, ended up greenlighting that sh*t? It's disappointing. Also hate SM for the NCT-fication of all their groups.
  15. ^ this Why everyone is this thread so offended about a personal opinion? Did he kill your own mother or what? Everyone believes their musical taste is the "proper" one, humans are universally narcissist. He's also not wrong with the fact that Kpop is a niche market (even in Korea) that targets in majority teenagers and young adults. It's closer to Disney Channel music than anything else. Nothing wrong with adults listening to Kpop, but it does not change the fact there is a first consumption target.
  16. Judging by her previous public boyfriend, I don't think she's into "flower boys"?
  17. NCT Dream over Taeyeon, OMG or Brave Girls? Are they good digitally?
  18. This reminds of Flower's Shirayukihime with a strong 90s influence. It's interesting.
  19. The chorus sounds so flat too me. it is somewhere between G-Idle and a cuter group. I'm disappointed in Starship because they gave us "Unnatural" and a whole EP of amazing bops by WJSN. I was expecting more since this group was hailed as their next top group. Then again WJSN debuted with "MoMoMo" so... LOL
  20. I don't understand why people on PC are so hard on Twice. They are in their 7th year (if I'm right), what do they expect from an idol group? One day, they're the hottest thing in the industry, the next day nobody cares about them. Sadly, they're a "product" of fast consumption in a sexist society. Regarding Twice's music, I won't lie that the title tracks can be hit or miss, but the quality of the b-sides has been consistently good in the last few years. I also don't see how coming back a few times a year is considered problematic? They're building a discography and a legacy, good for the fans; we all know idol groups are not meant to last and it's better to disband with Twice's discography than 2NE1's. Still, JYP is a sh*tty company in the long run and they clearly don't do enough to keep Twice's name in the general public's mouth.
  21. It's Mina's era!! I like the concept which is a welcome return to a more "bubbly" Twice. I'm not yet crazy about the song.

    IU - Strawberry Moon

Ok, thanks for the correction. Anyway, I need her to take more risks!
