what I mean is that they're not popular for their music I want Winner to be more known for their musical abilities and not because they're funny. They have great personalities though I'm sure they'll shine in variety but I think releasing music (without long breaks) with 2-3 good variety show appearances would be perfect. They write their own stuff so they can't be everywhere obviously

got7 isn't a great example though I mean they have probably less public recognition than Winner. (Considering Winner's songs charted higher + longer). Jackson is very popular in variety for sure, but so is Kwanghee? Kwanghee is the evidence that member's personal popularity doesn't make the group automatically more popular. Got7 has a big international fandom though (which I envy) but Winner is gonna get there too hopefully. Because there are people who still think Winner as a ballad group. So I think this comeback is very important for them, they need to show a different side. (which if we look at the news they're gonna do something new/different). Winner Tv season 2 would be awesome too and free content that every other yg fandom gets. I wanna see them on more variety of course but not on every show. Shows like Running Man, Happy Together, Superman Returns would be great. I would like to see at least one mini album for year +/or solo work + sub unit (kinda like big bang)

That's nice but I wouldn't consider them as a top kpop act I mean they've only released one album (unfortunately). But if we compare them to idol rookie groups that debuted in the last 2 years I think it's safe to say they're the most successful (or one of the most successful). So hopefully one day they can be one of those top tier groups.
