  1. Well that is that. It won't be bigger than IOI.

Were the live votes weighted 7x in season 1? I believe the live votes were not weighted so we have way way more votes season 1.

If this group ends up like Fromis and tarnishes the Produce brand they only have themselves to blame.

I think live votes were weighted in S1 too.

Now it comes down to if CJ E&M and Han Sung Soo can properly promote this group but I don't have a lot of faith in either of them.

One of the problems they'll face is the competition has filled up in the girl group arena and they'll have to compete with newer generation groups that have developed fanbases as well as rookie groups that are contemporaries. IOI came in at a very good time where the generations were switching over. Even with their problems they maintained a really good sized fanbase for the time.

  2. Voting was a little lower than S1 Finale (4,673,791). There were around 220k+ online voting accounts and 445k accounts voting in the live finale. I thought it would be higher but maybe the time change prevented some people from watching.

Total Votes in Finale - 4,452,077

    Live votes 445k x 7 (online votes are worth 7) = 3,115,000

6 days of online votes estimate = 1,337,077 (222,846 per day)

    Voting accounts for week 11 = 229,831

  3. Have we got any confirmation about the final groups contract length, who's managing them, when their first single will be?

2.5 years, open contract. No idea about management agency but Han Sung Soo from Pledis is co-producer. They're going to have a reality show in November/December. I'm guessing they might debut at MAMA.

  4. Don't need to think too hard, it was obviously rigged. Pretty sure YMC is managing the group and Pledis is producing the album

Pledis/Han Sung Soo are the Korean side producers. Not too sure about the management agency.

I don't think it was rigged but there were definitely factors such as 8PM start time and Koreans having to spell Japanese names for live votes that did not help certain contestants.

  5.

    rumor..rumor..rumor..

    gossip..gossip..gossip..

The marks on the calendar are months.

You can see KCON LA in August and KCON TBD which turned out to be Thailand in September.

For some reason the 2 episode thing is July/August, but the 5 episode one is November/December, probably leading into KCON and their debut.

  6. Naver news。Rumor former JYP artist Jeon Somi in talk with Pledis for joining Pledis new girls group debut with PD 48 member eliminated trainee Jennifer Heo will be one of the member.

Rumor。Let wait the official news from Pledis。I'm sure this will hit Kpop and group to be watch in 2019-2021。

How about Jennifer leave Pledis and join Somi in whatever she's doing. I'm sure they'd be better handled than what Han Sung Soo is capable of.

  7. I can't think of any that truly stands.

Cube might have been it, but they debuted a girl group a few months ago and have 2 to manage already, I don't see them go for a third one. I don't see them adding her to an existing one. She could go solo there though.

LOEN is another one, since they're preparing the debut of FAVE girls, she could reunite with Soyeon & Soomin, that'd be cool. But the group is already big as is.

She could also go into one of those hip-hopish labels, she clearly has shown her love for k-hiphop for a long long time and always hinted at wanting to do featuring with some artists (like Crush, for example). I don't know.

    I'm properly lost tbh.

I never trust those rumors unless it's JYPE saying so themselves, and they haven't. Those were speculations from financial analysts, not proper announcement, and I know too well how girl group debuts can be postponed over and over again. Besides, those rumors were mostly talking about a Japanese group, which Somi would definitely not have been a part of.

Plausible reasons I can think of that made her leave are those thus far:

    - debut delayed once again until god knows when, tired of waiting in the dungeon while OT10 are living their best lives

    - JYPE wanting to make her go through yet another survival show as a proper contestant.

    - JYPE not being fair on the contract they drew with her, undermining her assets and popularity

I would accept the last 2 reasons as more reasonable than being impatient. But the first one is a poor reason to leave.
