Chaeyeon was gaining more support from when she got kicked from "I am" team yet did so well in 1000% team, if I remember well.
The center and positions thing is hard to discuss, because from what we know the rankings were decided before the show. But if anything I think Sakura still was the one having more support, yes some knetizens hated her because she is japanese but he fandom was no joke, I dont think Chae could beat her.
Her ending in 12 breaks my heart, she struggled a lot in the show because of her image so playing with her ranking is just mean.
I think it was just the finale rankings that were rigged. The news said the PD held a meeting before the finale to determine the rankings.

They switched Yuri and Miho's rankings and nobody can convince me otherwise.
Well the joke is Miho was in Korea recently to pick up her compensation check. I really want to see what the true rankings are.

A big part of Sakura and Miho's popularity was very niched imo, I don't think they earned enough support from the general public unlike Chaeyeon (or even Wonyoung).
The show overall felt niche. I think only Rumor charted from the original songs. It definitely didn't have the gp buzz that season 1 had. And the finale drama with Chaeyeon had a lot to do with Sakura and their friendship. Mnet was very pro Chaekura.

I think they put her at #12 so it would be dramatic.

Older groups can help bolster a company, but eventually their younger and future groups have to do well.

Yes, not defrauding the voters but an unfair advantage nonetheless. And of course, screen time can be used to make the results believable after all. No one's gonna buy a trainee in the final line up if you've barely seen them.
Doyeon had almost no screen time and made it into IOI. She had a few minutes total throughout the entire series.

But bribery already took place before the show started, so there should be an initial pre-determined line up. Just a few from the finalists were probably added in. I mean, the trainees were calling it "Starship show" and all that, so the advantages were already happening before the finale.
Correct me if I'm wrong here. When it comes to who should be compensated I think that issue lies with the direct manipulation of votes. If they find out the votes were manipulated since the first elimination then those people should be compensated. But as far as we know it was at the finale where the votes were disregarded and they did whatever they wanted. Bribery is illegal and the people who gave and accepted bribes should be dealt with, but if the result is the same as if the PD chose on his own who to give screen time to then that's not really defrauding the voters.

How could them really know who was rigged out? The final lineup was decided since the beggining, no? So tha would mean they would need to pay every treinee who participated.
For Izone and X1 the final lineup was apparently chosen before the finale from the people that had made it to the finale. And people were still voting so unless they deleted those votes there should be a record, otherwise pay the 8 people that weren't chosen on the finale.
-
Pay them however much a group member made from the group's activities and then calculate an amount that being in the group would have gotten them post-group. I wonder if any of the "would have been" contestants will lawyer up and sue MNet/CJ directly.

do you guys think jelpi missed the right time for sejeong's solo?..
Yes and yes. But welcome to Jellyfish, they don't know how to capitalize on momentum.

Sounds like BS. He got bribed and took it. Produce is a popularity contest, whatever groups came out would have been popular because that's the formula of the show.
And there should be real rankings because people still voted for the finale online and during the live broadcast.

"He also reportedly did the same in the February 2016 first round of “Produce 101,” eliminating two trainees who should have continued and increasing the rankings of two other contestants."
so not the final line up?.. only two contestants didn't get eleminated while they should be?.. is that all?.. i hope it is.
Nope, not the final lineup. He changed a couple spots during the first elimination.

wait, so was this girl in the lineup at any point? i remember soyeon, stella, and seohyun's friend that eventually studied engineering... as well as a few others. but i dont remember their names lmao. i thought this girl was just a random trainee, so i thought it was cool of taeyeon to put her and all others like her that claimed they were "almost snsd" in their place. but if its true that she was included at the lineup at some point, and they trained together...then thats really cold of taeyeon to say, because im sure it was really really hard on the other trainees to be dropped from the lineup.
also, this is unrelated, but dont forget that my girl zhang li yin was also included in the "super girls" lineup at one point
(she was basically planned to be the "hangeng" of snsd. like how hangeng was the chinese member of super junior, which is snsd's "brother" group that they were based off of; but zhang li yin at the time didnt dance that well and also had insane vocal talent, so she became a solo).
The link A Hamster Named Loneliness has the iterations. Chanmi recorded a version of ITNW so it's possible Hwanhee and Soyeon did too at the very final stages. As for Taeyeon being cold, she hasn't acknowledged Jessica since 2014, and she was an actual SNSD member.

She snapped hard! I guess with the ambiguous state trainees are in, it's easy for them to exaggerate how close they were to being in a group.
The first "almost in SNSD" girl I remember was Fwaney (Lee Hwan-hee). Was she really involved or was she also just clout chasing?
She made it to the point where they were taking group photos right before the final roster was set. Her, Chanmi, and Soyeon were right at the cut off.
